B.E in CSE at RNSIT has an intake of 180 students and the course fee is 1.98 lakh. The department has 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 21 Assistant Professors, and 10 qualified Technical support staff members. The placement rate for CSE at RNSIT is more than 98%. The average package offered is around 4.5 LPA while the highest package was 30 LPA. Recruiters like Infosys, Accenture, HCL, OLA, HP enterprise, IBM, Amazon, Bosch, Phone Pay, and Brad soft visited for campus placements in the year 2019. The department has a techno-cultural student club named AIKYA which encourages students to explore their technical and cultural abilities. The department also organizes a techno-cultural fest where coding, debugging, design contest, technical quiz, etc. are held.
Bangalore institute of technology has excellent infrastructure for the CSE program. Which is better for CSE Manipal University Jaipur or Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology??
I have friends from both Manipal University Jaipur and Sikkim Manipal University. Here is a brief comparison of the two institutes based on their experience.
- Cutoff: According to the recent cutoff trends, the closing cutoff for CSE at MUJ was 10867 while for SMIT it was 34422. It clearly indicates the difference in student crowd at these two branches.
- Placements: Placements at both are quite similar. However, considering the location of the colleges, MUJ will be a better option. Big MNCs like Amazon visit the MUJ campus for placements. According to the recent placement highlights the highest CTC offered at MUJ was 42 LPA while it was 24 LPA for SMIT.
- Infrastructure: MUJ has a much better infrastructure than SMIT.
- Faculty: Based on my friends’ experiences I will say the faculty at MUJ is better.
However, SMIT is an older institute. MUJ was recently established and it will take some time to reach the level of the college experience that SMIT provides.
A few of my friends from MUJ complain about the open book system in the examination. According to them, it is a poor way of conducting examinations in undergraduate as you will eventually need to memorize things for competitive examinations.
The best choice will be to go for the main campus, i.e. MIT Karnataka. Take any branch that you are getting and you can upgrade your branch to CSE, in the second year. The main campus is far better than these two campuses.
Which college should I choose between Jadavpur University and BIT Mesra for computer science and engineering?
CSE at BIT Mesra can easily be considered a good option in contrast to Jadavpur University. Consider the following points
- BIT Mesra is known to have an excellent coding culture which is reflected in the coding skills of the first-year students.
- The seniors are very cooperative and guide you in both coding as well as general issues related to college life.
- BIT Mesra conducts a weekly college-wide coding contest(CQM) held on the LAN to promote coding among students
- The college attracts some huge IT giants and other big MNCs like Facebook, Microsoft, Epic Systems, Flipkart, Directi, Goldman Sachs, DE Shaw, and several others.
- Most students here are so talented that big companies convert their internships to PPOs.
So it can be said that choosing BIT Mesra over Jadavpur University will prove to be more beneficial for you.

The CSE branch of MNIT Jaipur is one of the best branches of the institute in comparison to all other NITs. The branch has a dedicated pool of faculty that adopt modern pedagogy to deliver CS concepts. The branch has state-of-the-art lab facilities that assist in cutting-edge research.
MNIT Jaipur CSE placements have recorded decent stats over the past few years. Although no official data has been released on the same, a few acquaintances at MNIT Jaipur shared the statistics with me.

- The highest salary package offered by Apple was INR 64 LPA.
- The lowest salary package offered was INR 6.75 LPA.

Lastly, the NIT tag plays a big role in improving your future prospects and improving your job opportunities. The campus has a diverse crowd and the overall ambiance is quite lively. However, MNI TJaipur lacks in terms of coding culture. So, if you want to participate in competitive programming, you will need a lot of self-motivation.
Ultimately, choosing the college is important but not more than the branch. That being said, the CSE at MNIT Jaipur is better than any core branch at the top NITs. So, if you are willing to work right after graduation, go for it!

Jadavpur University is also a reputed institute. With time the quality of education at JU is also improving. So, I will suggest you do your own research and choose an institute that works best for you.
I have got Energy Engineering (Dual) in IIT Bombay and Computer Science in BITS Pilani. What should I opt for?
BITS Pilani has an effective placement support system, especially in the CSE branch, but in the long run, Energy Engineering at IIT Bombay is the best option. CSE is becoming outdated, and you will end up jobless. So, it is better to go with Energy engineering, which may have a lot more opportunities in the future as it majorly focuses on renewable technologies, economics, and management.
The add-on advantage of IIT Bombay over BITS is the DS Centre, which is for students who want to pursue entrepreneurship and SINE, which helps to build up your own company
