- Campus life: NSUT and DTU have relatively dull campus life than IITs. Students are not involved in organizing summits, seminars, presentations, events, etc. While in IITs the campus is buzzing with some or other activities every day.

At IIT Roorkee, students can change their branch right after the first semester, unlike other IITs where you have to necessarily complete a whole year. Based on the available data for 2018, the SGPA cutoff is 9.809.
Based on the above data, a student has to score at least 206/210-grade points to be eligible for branch change from Civil to CSE.
