No, IIIT Sri City is not an inferior institute. It is decent to invest your time and money in it. Below mentioned are a few features of the institute.
- The infrastructure has developed quickly in the past years to make it a fully-functional campus.
- The worthy students are filtered through JEE Mains and admitted to the institute. Many students have achieved top-ranks in the contests held around the country. Even a few seniors have secured admissions in the best universities of the world like MIT (USA), Carnegie Mellon University, etc.
- The system of IIIT is worthy. You do not have to prepare records, journals, and other things to submit. The traditional methods have been abolished. The assignments are connected to the practical learning experience. There is no waste of time and resources.
- The schedule is not tight. You will be able to manage all the crucial things like academics, extra self-learning things, and recreational activities at weekends.
- The students have joined the industries like E-Commerce, Ed-Tech, Data Analytics, IT Product and IT Services, Manufacturing, Consulting, Augmented, and Virtual Reality.

What is the average grade in IIT Madras?

The answer to this question depends on what you want to do. I have a few friends from Loyola College, Chennai, and here is what they have to say about the institute.
- Loyola has really good professors and a vast library with huge collections of books.
- It also has a digital library and conducts national-level symposiums. The placement office is amazing and a lot of different companies from diversified fields come to the campus. In the last placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 5 LPA.
- Loyola has a policy of 80% attendance. It also has a compulsory club of 60 hours during the first year and there are a lot of options to choose from – NCC, NSS, FOP, Loyola dream team, AICUF, Rotaract, Radio, LPA, Debate Club, etc.
Even after all of this, certain students have arrear and do not like to study. They just want to enjoy themselves and do not enroll in any club, do not use the library at all.
Overall, the college is good but it is up to you to make the most of your time there.
Which college is better for BBA course Loyola College or Madras Christian College?
There is not much difference when we talk about the course and the subjects but the environment is significantly different for both. Here are some things that you should know about the institutes.
Freedom- MCC offers a lot of freedom to its students in the way they dress and express themselves as compared to Loyola. Even for attendance, it is not as strict as Loyola. Loyola asks its students to pay for condonation and then sit for an exam.
Ragging- It is still very much prevalent at MCC and sometimes it crosses the healthy limit as well. On the other hand, ragging is very rare at Loyola.
Drug scene- MCC is infamous for its drug-related incidents. While enrolling their children, parents are quite worried about this. On the other hand, Loyola does not have such a problem.
Campus- Both the campuses are extremely beautiful with an amazing experience of studying in the college.
College life- When it comes to cultural and extracurricular activities, MCC is more active as compared to Loyola. They conduct a lot of fests and different events which offer its students a lot of opportunities.

Therefore, it depends completely on what you want out of your college. If you want a good college life then you should opt for MCC. But if you want good academics then you should opt for Loyola. MCC has a diversified culture whereas Loyola has students mostly from Chennai.
How is the CSD course different from CSE course of IIIT Hyderabad?
The BTech degree offered in both the courses is similar so the foundation courses taught in the initial 2 years are exactly the same. From the third year, you will be asked to choose a lab where you will be conducting research. Students are given many options to choose from.
Some of these include the following:
- Robotics Research Centre
- Computer Vision
- Spatial Informatics
- Center for Data Engineering
So the third year witnesses additional courses that are specific to your branch. Both CSE and CSD students will be working on similar problems and will be publishing research papers in the 3rd and 4th years. In the fifth year, students have to write their thesis. One of my friends joined CSE and Robotics Research Centre and is very happy with the results.
Does IIT Delhi award scholarships for lower-income-group students?
IIT Delhi provided Merit-Means scholarships to its students under which, free-of-cost education is imparted to students belonging to families with income lower than INR 4.5 Lakhs. In addition, students are given a 1000k monthly stipend. However, the mess fees are not waived and students have to pay them despite the scholarship.
These scholarships give opportunities to the ones who are financially weak but want to attain success. It also stops the continuous hike in the fees annually.
How is the IIT Bombay R.A. written test for ECE?
The syllabus of RA exams conducted in IIT Bombay for ECE is very much similar to that of GATE. The primary purpose of this written test is to ensure you have a holistic understanding of different subjects to work with and manage BTech students in labs of different branches.
There are 5 branches of ECE at IIT Bombay; Communication Engineering, Electronic Systems, Control, and Computing, MicroElectronics, and Power Electronics. Some core points related to the RA exam are
- A total of around 35 questions from all the above 5 branches combined are given
- You have to attempt 20 questions
- The common topics include diode characteristics, Zener diode-based numerical, questions on greens and stokes theorem, double integrals, etc
- On clearing the cutoff, you will get an interview call
- The interview will be conducted by a number of panels (recruiters for different labs)
- The questions asked will vary from panel to panel and will be related to the research work being conducted in labs
- Once the interview is over, the results would be published in a weeks time in IITB portal
Pro tip: You need to have sound knowledge of the research work in the department. For instance, Wadhwani Electronics Lab(WEL) is one of the main labs in EE dept, and most of the basic electronics lab courses are conducted in this lab. So as an RA, you should be skilled in using CROs, DSOs, working breadboards, and so on. Additionally, your exposure to Micro Controllers or FPGA could increase your chances of selection.
How much should an external student score in the AMUEEE to hope for a selection?
For engineering courses, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducts AMUEEE each year. It is one of the toughest entrance examinations of AMU. There is no fixed score for any external student’s selection in AMUEEE. If the difficulty level of the question paper is moderate the cutoff score for external students is around 70-75 in general. It is 60-65 for internal students.
Varying Factors - Cutoff:
- The cut-off score varies on a year to year basis, there’s another factor which is the difficulty of the question paper which plays an important role in fixing the cut-off list.
- Apart from all these factors, even cut-off lists vary from branch to branch as well, for example, the cut-off score will remain higher for computer & electrical engineering branches, but when it comes to civil & mechanical the cut-off score remains low.

Which one is better Heritage Institute of Technology or Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology for CSE?
Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology (GCELT) is cheaper than Heritage Institute of Technology because it is a government institute.
Heritage Institute of Technology has better infrastructure, better labs, and everything else. GCELT has slightly lower levels of infrastructure but the teaching methodology and the quality of lectures delivered by the professors are almost similar at both the institutes.
What makes GCELT apart from Heritage Institute of Technology is its freedom which you can utilize in your spare time on activities you enjoy. It does not have any facility to give you a club like a robotics club. But you can start on your own and there is no restriction on the same. The professors will help you in every way possible.
You can succeed at either of the institutes if you work hard. If you have financial constraints, join GCELT. If you want good infrastructure join the Heritage Institute of Technology.
How is the mess food at IIT Dhanbad?
IIT Dhanbad is technically IIT (ISM) — Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. it was upgraded to IIT status.

- general student feedback: the food is basic north Indian/Bihari-style. dal, sabzi, roti, rice. nothing fancy but filling

- mess charges around Rs.2,500-3,500/month depending on hostel
dhanbad itself is an industrial mining city — not a foodie paradise. but the campus has canteens and some outside food joints nearby. students generally manage fine. if you're from South India the dal-roti base might feel monotonous initially but you adjust.
