BioTech at NSUT Delhi is a unique branch of the institute in the sense that its syllabus is completely different from other branches except for the first year. While other branches have a few overlapping courses, BioTech has none. BioTech students have separate labs, subjects, practicals, etc. Here are some highlights of this branch.
Overall the placements for the BioTech branch of NSUT Delhi are average with a mix of core and nin core opportunities.
Today, aerospace engineering is growing at a steady rate among the other engineering fields in India. However, outside India, it has already been established in the past years and has many more opportunities than in India.
Both the government and private sector come into play when we talk about the aerospace industry. Government Organizations: Some of the biggest government organizations that are involved in the aerospace industry today are
To secure a job in these huge organizations, one needs to pass an interesting exam and sit for an interview. These organizations have decent salary packages. In the private sector, some of the biggest organizations are
Academia: Another job prospect of an aerospace engineer within India is to enter academia. This basically means you have to conduct research at sum Institute and reputed research centers and pursue a Ph.D. at an IIT. Very few people go for this option.
Abroad: For job prospects outside India one needs to pursue an MS or Ph.D. in aerospace engineering. They don’t consider BTech pass-outs for their jobs unless they get a permanent residence permit and also higher education in the form of a master's and Ph.D. However, you can go for research in this field as it is not restricted on the basis of nationality. You can work in NASA or ESA provided that you are simply good at what you do.
These were some of the job prospects in the aerospace field. For more information, you can contact people from this background and enquire about career prospects in aerospace engineering.
When comparing the placements of the two, ISB and IIMs, the batch size hardly matters because both institutes market different products. The background and profiles of students of both institutes are too versatile to draw comparisons. If I roughly divide the ISB students and the kind of placement scenario they face then
So the batch size does not matter here and ISB Hyderabad placements are themselves quite satisfactory.
You should try to learn about the financial aid for undergraduate as well as graduate students as both of these have different types of grants, scholarships and requirements. Since international students are unable to qualify for US federal loans, they have to pay up more but they can ease off their burden by doing part time work by making some money.
Students placed in the top 10%-15% of Northeastern University’s pool are given preference for competitive merit awards which is between $10000 and $25000. As an international, you wont have many funding opportunities. You can get financial relief through mostly these:
If you enter as a university scholar, then you can get your entire tuition waived and you only have to incur costs on room, board and other personal expenses. For this, you should have an outstanding academic record in order to be selected. Ofcourse, this will be another challenge to be their top candidate in order to enter the college as a university scholar.
If your expected family contribution(EPF) is less than the actual tuition fees, then you may be awarded a scholarship or a grant which will help him cover up the remaining tuition. However, the EPF amount is low and there is no guarantee that the rest of your fees will be covered. You can get $5k- $15k in grant award for tuition.
As an International student, you may find it difficult to avail scholarships unless you have an excellent SAT/ACT score with an impressive extracurricular profile. You should work hard on making a good profile to stand a chance to win these scholarships. Students with good extracurricular activities get recommendations and get their fees waived off or whatever scholarships they have won.
You should contact the college regarding this in order to have better insights and options.
Comparably NIT Patna CSE is better. It offers lucrative salary packages. According to the recent placement highlights, NIT Patna CSE average package was INR 7.7 LPA. While the highest CTC offered to the student of this branch was INR 42 LPA. More than 90% of the students get placed from the CSE branch. Intel, Google, and Samsung are the major recruiting companies for CSE.
I asked a senior at NIT Silchar about its MTech program and had quite a detailed conversation. He concluded it by saying the MTech program here was in a poor state considering the academics as well as job opportunities. He further stated that he wouldn’t recommend it to anyone because he himself regrets it big time.
Apparently, the MTech placement scenario at NIT Silchar is pathetic and the placement percentage is very Leo. Even the ones getting placed don’t secure a very good package. Surprisingly some of the MTech professors are forbidden from teaching BTech students because of their poor teaching style and knowledge.
So, I wouldn’t recommend you to join NIT Silchar if you actually want to pursue a Master's degree.
Kalasalingan University is average at best. You won’t get any advanced material for learning. A few of the department has well-experienced faculties. However, most of the faculties are freshers. According to the recent highlights, Kalasalingam University placement scenario is decent. The average CTC offered at the campus placement is 4.50 LPA. The hostel accommodation is not up to the mark, especially the boy’s hostel. The wifi connection on campus has restrictions on many useful pages.
VMMC Delhi is better than AIIMS Jodhpur. It offers better research opportunities and networking opportunities. It also ranks higher than AIIMS Jodhpur. NIRF 2021 ranked VMMC 18 for Medical. It also has a 50% internal PG reservation.
Located in the nation's capital, VMMC offers better networking opportunities. Compared to Jodhpur, Delhi will offer a better college experience.
You may have heard differing opinions on the current status of IBS Hyderabad. While it is true that there have been some changes that have led to a decline in the quality of education and the reputation of the campus, there are several specific factors that have contributed to this decline.
One factor is the increasing batch size. The college has been adding at least 50 to 100 students each year, which has resulted in a larger student body. However, this increase in batch size has also meant a decrease in the quality of the students being admitted to the main campus.
Another issue is the lack of dedication from some of the professors. Despite having degrees from prestigious universities, some professors are not fully committed to teaching and providing quality education to their students.
The administration's approach to filling the larger batch size has led to the admission of mediocre students who are not serious about their education and cause disruptions in the classroom and in the hostels. This creates a negative environment that can affect the learning experience of all students.
The administration has also failed to enforce rules and regulations, allowing students to engage in harmful activities like smoking, drinking, and damaging hostel properties. These actions have led to a decline in the reputation of the campus and have negatively impacted the placements of students. Companies have noticed the lack of skills and poor behavior of some students during the recruitment process, which has led them to question the quality of education being provided at IBS Hyderabad.
To restore its former glory, the administration needs to prioritize improving the quality of education and ensuring that rules and regulations are followed by all students. Additionally, offering mental conditioning classes for students can help them develop a more professional demeanor, both in the classroom and during the recruitment process, ensuring that the campus continues to attract top companies for placements.
IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) graduates have surprisingly diverse career paths, and the degree is more versatile than most people assume:
research and academia (most common path):
industry careers:
civil services and policy: IISER students regularly appear for UPSC and other competitive exams. the analytical training is a genuine advantage.
the important caveat — IISER is research-optimized, not industry-placement optimized. placement percentages and package statistics look lower than IIT engineering colleges because many students continue to PhD. if you're planning a pure industry career from day 1, IIT engineering is probably a better fit. if you want deep science and want to keep both research and industry options open — IISER is excellent.
