How are first year hostels at MNIT Jaipur?

SG
Souvick Gupta Posted On : October 9th, 2023
MNIT Jaipur

The hostel facilities for the first-year students at MNIT Jaipur are as per most students' expectations. The hostels allotted to the first-year students are

  • Hostel 7
  • Hostel 1 and 2
  • Hostel 6

My brother was in Hostel 7 so my knowledge is limited to that hostel only. According to his personal experience, Hostel 7 is the best for first-year students. This hostel also serves the best food in comparison to other hostels offering the institute. The rooms are spacious and students have access to wifi facilities. Other hostels have poor Internet connections.

The hostel rooms of Hostel 7 are well-painted and with food flooring. It also has its own garden which is a great place to get a breath of fresh air. The best canteen of Hostel 4 is located right in front of Hostel 7 so you can get tasty food even past midnight.

Overall, MNIT Jaipur offers a great hostel life for its first-year students.

How is BIT MESRA CSE? Please tell ground reality- clubs, coding culture, past achiever, placements MEDIAN salary. Should I take it or drop?

DG
Deepmoy Ganguly Posted On : August 16th, 2023
studied at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra

Regarding your question on whether or not to choose BIT Mesra for your CSE, I would say that the CSE course at BIT Mesra is quite good. Here are a few colleges for CSE that are superior to BIT Mesra according to me- NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Surathkal, NIT Calicut, NIT Rourkela, NIT Allahabad, and MNIT Jaipur.

As far as placements are concerned, they are top notch for the CSE branch at BIT Mesra. During the 2022 placements, 113 out of 124 eligible students were placed. The lowest package stood at INR 4 LPA, the average package at INR 19.27 LPA and the highest package at INR 58.33 LPA. The median package was recorded at INR 16 LPA. The companies that visited the BIT Mesra campus for CSE placements were- Micorosoft, Wells Fargo, Walmart, GS, Paytm, Vmware, KPMG, Oracle, MMT, Atlassian, Lowe’s, Whitehat Jr., JF, among others. Media.net, Amazon, Disney, Indeed, Google, American Express, etc. visited the campus after September.

For the IT branch at BIT Mesra, the companies that offered placements were- Amazon, Microsoft, Mindtickle, JF, GS, Paytm, DE Shaw, Whitehat Jr., Walmart, Atlassian, SWYM, Oracle, KPMG, Vmware, etc. In IT, 56 out of 59 eligible students were placed. The average salary stood at INR 20.58 LPA. The highest, median and lowest package was the same as that for CSE.

Basically, if you do not get a top NIT for your CSE, you should choose BIT Mesra. It has good placements for this course.

What is the average package for an MTech in CSE in IIT Madras?

TB
Tushar Banerjee Posted On : March 30th, 2023

According to placement data from the academic year of 2022-2023, the average package for an MTech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at IIT Madras was around INR 21.48 LPA, and the Highest Package was around INR 1.98 CPA.

However, it’s important to note that CTCs are usually inflated highly and include joining bonuses and stock options that are not permanent.

Almost all the students get placed and MTech students get plenty of placement opportunities. Around 500 recruiters made offers. Some of the top recruiting companies were

  • Samsung
  • Mediatek
  • Qualcomm
  • Intel
  • Sandisk
  • Cypress Semiconductor

However, please note that this information may have changed and it's always best to check with the institute for the most up-to-date information.

Which is better: Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Sri Guru Gobind College or Dyal Singh College for a B.Com programme?

SD
Sidharth Dua Posted On : January 13th, 2022
B.Com hons. from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi (2022)

According to the reviews online, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC) is a very well maintained institution. They have a proper infrastructure with a good faculty and student crowd. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) is also academically a good institute.

It is suggested that you do not go for Dyal Singh College (DSC) but opt for anyone among the other two mentioned.

Between SGGSCC and SBSC make your choice based on the location. If you belong to South Delhi, Noida or Gurgaon, then choose SBSC. If you are from any other part of Delhi choose SGGSCC.

If you are from an outstation choose SGGSCC as overall living cost in North Delhi is cheaper than South Delhi and you can also stay near North Campus which will help you interact with a much more diverse set of people.

How was your interview experience at Computational and Data Sciences CDS IISc Bangalore for Ph D and M Tech Research program?

PP
Pratik Parikh Posted On : July 17th, 2023
Lives in Bangalore

I cleared the written test for M.Tech Research in CDS at IISc Bangalore. After that, I was scheduled for an interview with a three-member panel. It lasted for 50 minutes.

Upon arriving at the IISc Bangalore campus for the interview, we were allowed inside after 8 am. My degree certificate and Aadhar were checked before allotting me the room and panel.I had to wait for around 3 hours before my interview. My preferences were DREAM Lab, MARS Lab, and VCL Lab.The interviewers looked at the form that I had filled out, read all that was written to me, and proceeded to ask me some basic questions based on my responses. I mentioned having studied C++, data structures, and scheduling algorithms.

The first professor asked me a question about finding an element in an unsorted array. He kept asking me basic questions throughout this time. Another professor asked me a question about scheduling algorithms. He asked me to prove mathematically my assertion that SJF is optimal and that no other algorithm can give a better performance than it. The third professor asked me questions on system calls,  user/kernel mode, and whether the addition expression in C++ program also has some underlying system call.

Though I could not clear the interview, it was an enriching experience for me. It helped me gain more confidence and to look at things from a different perspective.

  4. Take Mock Tests: Taking mock tests can help you evaluate your preparation level and identify areas where you need to improve.
  5. Improve Your English: The English language and comprehension section of the exam can be challenging for some students. It is important to improve your English language skills by reading newspapers, magazines, and novels, and by practicing grammar and vocabulary exercises.

Which institute is better for learning the German language in Hyderabad Osmania University or Vivekananda Institute of Languages Ramakrishna Math?

SD
Satyaki Dara Posted On : October 4th, 2021
Bachelor of Science from PSG College of Arts and Science,Coimbatore,Tamil Nadu

RK Math offers the best learning experience not only in German but every other foreign language.

  • The reason for this is the discipline with which the faculty teach the lessons. They are very experienced and dedicated.
  • The institute offers classes in three batches every day so that the classes do not get crowded.
  • The fee for the course is only 1200 rupees including the cost of books, so on the cost front, it is the best place.

However, It is advisable that if you don’t have any financial problems then you should apply for Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad. To get into this you have to appear for an entrance test.

Is Karunya University bad?

RK
Raghav Kumar Posted On : September 14th, 2021
Studied B.Tech from Karunya University (2020)

If you are planning to join Karunya University, read the following points carefully to know about it all:

  • The university is highly religious and the authorities will force you to follow Christianity.
  • A great emphasis is given on morning assembly and even attendance is taken for it.
  • The quality of teaching is very poor and the faculty members are not efficient for it. Students have faced difficulties even understanding their teachings.
  • The food at the hostel mess is unhealthy and does not taste good. You will be charged INR 22,500 per semester but they fail to provide quality food.
  • You need to get permission from the Hostel warden before stepping out of it. Girls are rarely given such permission.
  • The campus is located far away from the city and there is no bus service available. The frequency of local buses is very low.
  • If you are a boy then you will not face any problems. But if you are a girl, you will only be asked to focus on your studies.

If you are a nature lover, you will find the surroundings soothing and it can instantly lift your mood up. You can look at the above-mentioned points before taking any decision.
