How is cusat fire and safety branch?
One of my friends shed light on the actual scenario of the Fire and Safety Department of CUSAT
- The syllabus is highly illogical and difficult to comprehend so students often lose their interest while studying.
- Students who miss any chapter or topic in the curriculum are given a compartment that they have to clear by working very hard alongside completing the huge CUSAT curriculum.
- During placements, the visiting recruiters set high cutoffs around 8–8.5 GPA in all semesters with no backlogs.
- The students who clear the written exam are called in for an interview which is very challenging. Students who clear the interview are offered lucrative packages only to realize after joining the company that the CTC was misleading and inflated.
- Fire and Safety students have no job opportunities in off-campus placements at all.
So, I will recommend you to not join the Fire and Safety branch in CUSAT at any cost.
How did IIM Bangalore achieve 100% summer placements?
IIM Bangalore has been able to achieve 100% summer placements due to the combined and relentless efforts of students, seniors, placement committees, and clubs. No institute can work properly without a proper cordial relationship among these. Summer placements take place after the end of 2nd term but students start preparing well before the beginning of the term. The following points entail the details of preparation for summer placements k:
- Preparatory sessions: The student clubs and societies hold preparation sessions for significant roles in Consulting, Product Management, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics.
- Alumni sessions: Experienced alumni from different sectors working at reputed firms come forward and conduct sessions to share their job experience. This enables the students to make better choices for their careers.
- Case preparation: The ones who are preparing for consulting roles form a case preparation group wherein they practice mock cases. Mock group discussions and interviews facilitated by clubs and seniors are also conducted.

Is NIT Rourkela good, like NIT Trichy?
NIT Rourkela has very good infrastructure, placements, rankings and facilities. It has a legacy of its own. But it can not be compared with NIT Trichy as of yet. Perhaps a few years down the line, Rourkela will reach the level of Trichy. But as of now, Trichy is the best among all NITs. NIT Trichy has much higher placement stats than NIT Rourkela.
You should choose NIT Rourkela over NITT only if you get a very good branch or a core branch at the former, and a not so good branch at the latter.
What is the procedure for applying for an internship at IIT-Delhi?
IIT Delhi typically offers internships to students in undergraduate or graduate programs. The application process generally includes the following steps:

IIT Delhi usually starts accepting applications around Jan-Feb. You are required to upload your Resume, Cover letter, and an overview of a Research Paper published by any faculty member of the department you are applying at. In case they consider you eligible for the internship they will contact you via your email. A good CGPA might help but is not necessary for an internship.
Which is a better choice at NIT Silchar, Mechanical or CSE?
Most students, freshly out of school, try to choose an Engineering branch for themselves. You might be someone who has a deep passion for either Mechanical or CSE. In that case, I would advise you to follow your heart.
But if you think not opting for CSE is a bad decision, just ask yourself why you would consider CSE. Is it because you did some coding in your school days and wish to enter into that field, or simply because CSE is popular. Don’t be in the illusion of liking a branch just because everyone is recommending it. Also, don’t go for any branch solely because it has better placements than the other. As long as you enjoy a particular field, you will get good offers.
Mechanical is a good branch at NIT Silchar. Moreover, as research has become increasingly interdisciplinary in nature, various departments collaborate with one another these days. Even Mechanical has a good involvement of CSE- Robotics, CFD, etc. all involve high level coding and the knowledge of Data Structures. Because today most campuses witness IT placements more than core profiles, I would highly recommend you consult the alumni of Mechanical to figure out what placements are like in ground reality.

Also, NIT Silchar offers a branch change after the 2nd semester. This is based on your performance in the first two semesters. In case you feel dissatisfied with your choice, you can opt for branch change as well.
For your first year (whichever branch you choose) maintain good grades, talk to your seniors and explore your stream.
What is the fee structure at NIT Durgapur?
I have mentioned below the B.Tech fee structure for AY 2023-24 at NIT Durgapur.
The semester tuition fee for B.Tech and DD courses is as per MHRD regulations. That is Rs. 62,500 for students of every semester. If you belong to SC/ST/PH/have family income less than 1 LPA, your tuition fee will be 100% waived. If your family income is between 1-5 LPA, your tuition fee will be 2/3rd waived. The tuition fee has been constant for many years.
The hostel fee will vary from one hostel to another, and one month to another. You’ll have to pay a refundable security deposit of 5000 INR at the time of joining the hostel. 6200 INR will be paid as hostel seat rent and hostel establishment charge by students of every semester. Mess charges will be added as applicable.
NIT Durgapur is one of the most affordable NITs. In spite of this, it has good mess food.
What is your review of the college IMI Delhi?
The academics of almost all B Schools across India are more or less the same. IMI Delhi claims to be the third in intellectual capital which is the quality of faculty. This ranking is however justifiable as IMI Delhi does have the best pool of faculty.
The next thing to consider while analyzing the worth of a B School is the kind of culture it offers to its students. The culture is still not at par with top institutes like IMT, MDI, SP Jain, IIM, etc., and is growing steadily. Still, over the last few years, IMI has witnessed a drastic change in culture mainly stemming from the various administrative changes made. These efficient and transparent changes have increased the culture quality at IMI Delhi.
The placement scenario has been improving at a steady pace like any other B School. Most 2 and 3-tier institutes will provide a similar experience and can be considered for an MBA. However, do not target a B-school lesser in worth than this because MBA mainly depends on the worth of the institution.
IMI Delhi is among the top B Schools in tier 2 and the only B Schools better than this are old IIMs, FMS, MDI, IIFT, SP Jain, Jamnalal Bajaj, XLRI, and NM Mumbai.
What is the average package of IET DAVV in the CSE, IT, EI, and ET branch?
One of my friends was a student of IET DAVV, and he has studied Computer Science at this institute.
He once told me that lots of companies came to select candidates from CS and IT stream. If you are in the average category but has good concepts in your subjects (IT and CS), or has sufficient programming skills, then you can easily get the placement in a reputed company. However, if you are not performing well in the other companies, then there is a chance to get placed in the mass recruiter organizations, which is also not a bad option to start a career.
The average CTC for all the branches is approximately 4.25, but here average CTC is considered. This is because the range is hardly started from 3.5 LPA to 12 LPA or 13 LPA in some cases. It is also seen that lot of the companies also provide around 5-6 LPA.

Thus, it can be concluded that placement is the plus point in this institute. Nearly 100% placement id is offered by this institute's placement cell to the top MNCs like TCS, Accenture. Infosys, HCL, Capgemani etc.
How is mess food at NIT Warangal?
NIT Warangal is a college of national importance and you will be provided with all the facilities over there. Mess food at NIT Warangal depends on the mess. The messes are of different types-
- Private Messes - IFC (A) is a South Indian Mess, IFC (B) is a North Indian Mess and IFC (C) is for all types.
- Government Messes - Mess 1 and 2 are non-vegetarian messes, and Mess 3 is a vegetarian mess.
1st-year students get IFC (A). From 2nd year, students get to choose among all the messes except IFC (A). For your fourth year, choose IFC (B) because it serves good quality food and will be near your hostel.
Mess 3 is a good choice for vegetarians. Even IFCs serve vegetarian food. Non-vegetarian messes serve non-veg meals six days a week. They serve a good lunch but the dinner is not as good. IFC (A, B, C) are better overall because these are private messes, and the food quality, especially breakfast, is much better. In a month’s gap, there is ‘one special mess’ in every mess to refresh the taste buds of students. The mess charge for private messes is slightly higher than the government ones.
Overall, the mess food quality at NIT Warangal is quite decent.
What are the pay packages offered by the companies at IMT Hyderabad Placements?
IMT Hyderabad is known for its great placement scenario and the excellent placement records prove it more so. IMT Hyderabad placements 2022 recorded a 98% placement percentage.
- The highest package was recorded at INR 16 LPA
- Average package was recorded at INR 9.4 LPA
- Median package stood at INR 8.5 LPA.
