Yes, NIT Trichy, Warangal, and Surathkal are better options for MTech than IIT Patna because of their superior location. The placement scenario at any institute is directly proportional to its location and proximity to tech hubs.
A location imparts better industry exposure that forms the foundation for any tech college. Consider the location as the primary factor while choosing your college. The reason I said NITs are better than IIT Patna today is because of their location and the quality of recruiters they attract as a result.
IIT Patna is a great institute but lacks the recognition yet and thus most recruiters don't visit it. So, look beyond the IIT tag a make a wise decision.
KLE Technological University is a very popular and reputed university. But like any other university, it also has some advantages and disadvantages. Some of my friends are from this institute, and here’s what they have mentioned about it.
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
| Categories | KLE Technological University |
| Course Fee | 2.28 lakh |
| Highest CTC | 14 LPA |
| Average CTC | 7-8 LPA |
Hence, KLE Technological University is a mediocre college. If you want to study there it is completely your choice. If you are interested in appearing for UPSC exams you can go for it. Other than that, this college does not really stand out.
Honestly, the evaluation process at Anna University is quite messed up. There is no proper strategy behind their valuation. It’s just your luck that decides your marks.
Most of the students have to apply for revaluation, the fees for which is around INR 700 for a single paper. Apart from this if you are willing to apply for a challenge review, the cost is INR 3000. All this seems like a money making strategy. Despite revaluation students keep getting worse grades every year.
This practice is spoiling the future of so many bright students. Hope someone takes action.
No, you certainly made the right choice by choosing LGMC over any other peripheral AIIMS. I have seen many medical aspirants run after the AIIMS tag and choose a peripheral AIIMS only to regret it later. Only the ones that have been established for about 5–6 years are worth taking admission in.
In my opinion, it’s better to go for a medical college that has a legacy of more than 10 years as it will be better academically, environmentally, and even in terms of the campus life it offers. Choosing LHMC will expose you to better opportunities especially because of its prime location in CP. Moreover, it also has Delhi Quota for MD. The clinical exposure is also unmatched and the internship opportunities will be plentiful.
So, put your worries to rest as you have made a wise decision by choosing LHMC over a peripheral AIIMS.
My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.
For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.
The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.
Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.
The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.
Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.

Amity University Noida is an excellent choice for BA Journalism and Mass Communication. Amity School of Communication (ASCO) has a brilliant faculty base and even has its own TV and radio channel. You can make your own movie or anchor a radio show. The course curriculum has a good balance between theory and practical.
Students of ASCO get placed in corporate media houses and advertising firms. Few also open their own studio.
NIT Trichy is a really good college when it comes to most NITs. But, you will only get admission through JEE Main. You will definitely have to score well if you plan to secure admission here.
The cut-offs for NIT Trichy in CSE are as follows:
| Categories | Male | Female | ||
| Home State | Other state | Home State | Other state | |
| General | 5235 | 1373 | 4075 | 2371 |
| SC | 1300 | 138 | 1435 | 420 |
| OBC | 2165 | 357 | 4085 | 1060 |
| EWS | 2068 | 165 | 2489 | 305 |
