All final year students can apply to companies in their respective fields. Generally, the packages and number of job opportunities in software development and data analytics are higher compared to core branches like electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering. For software roles, packages are around 15 LPA, while for core branches, it's about 8-10 LPA.

To understand what engineers in each field do, go online, check the syllabus of each department, pick a topic, and start reading or watching videos about it. Don't rely solely on placement statistics; those are influenced by personal effort.

I've seen students in various colleges struggling to grasp concepts in their CS classes, while others have successfully gained admission to prestigious Master's programs in Chemical Engineering at top universities. In IIT, you get a better peer group compared to DTU. There are many OBC, SC, ST, and PWD students, and a significant portion of the college is reserved for these categories. Many students also have questionable certifications, so you can expect a varied peer group.

IIT Delhi is the number one college in India, and in many aspects, it's superior to DTU/NSIT.
