XLRI doesn’t have a management quota. Every aspirant seeking admission needs to take XAT. If you clear the required cutoff, you will get a shortlist. Shortlisted candidates need to further go through the GD-PI round to get admission.
The admission process for other top B-Schools is similar. The admission is merit-based. You will need to clear the entrance test, and the GD-PI round, to be considered for admission.

ROI should not only be looked at from the monetary aspect. Rather, ROI should also include the overall personality development of a student. This is because as an MBA student, one does not only invest money but also devotes valuable time for the course.
SIMS Pune has a lesser fee than SIBM Bangalore. For an MBA, SIMS Pune has a fee of around INR 10.5 Lakhs for general category students. The children of defense personnel are charged a lesser amount.
On the other hand, SIBM Bangalore charges around INR 19.1 Lakhs from Indian students of all categories. SIMS Pune has a larger alumni base and a greater industry connection. This is because SIMS Pune is very old in comparison to SIBM Bangalore.
In terms of ROI, SIMS Pune is better because of its lesser fee.
However, do consider these facts before arriving at the final decision-
After considering all these points, I finally decided to go to SIBM Bangalore for my MBA.
A determined mindset and dedication are the keys here. It is not that easy to score a CGPA of 10, especially at an institute like BITS Pilani. You need to put in a lot more effort in the first semester. Here are some tips given below to score a good CGPA
Online Courses – It is better to seek the help of some online courses, which are way better than the outdated standards of BITS. Try to learn more specializations online
Research and Projects – Try to make a good impression with the scholars, choose the right mentor for your project, and get a paper published.
Personal Projects – Personal projects are beneficial and can be used to make your resume more attractive to companies that offer good packages.
Practical Knowledge -You can only widen your knowledge sphere through practicals, so try to get more practical knowledge based on your core course.
The DM and M.sch are paid studentships rather than real courses for students. Their life is more like an employee's than a student's. Till the time you complete your degree, you will be completely under the umbrella of your consultant, and he can control you to a certain level. You are expected to report as soon as your consultant or HOD asks for you without any excuses.
Despite the huge patient inflow and diversity of cases, DM and MCH students don’t get to handle surgeries single-handedly and have to always work under the supervision of their consultants. However, instead of losing motivation, it’s best to make the most out of the institute's legacy and brand name. As a DM or MCH student, you will always be sleep-deprived, and skipping meals will become a new normal.
Ultimately the quality of life of a DM or MCH student depends on the particular individual and his circumstances.
