What are some reasons to not join BITS Goa?
It is seen that joining every college has its advantages and disadvantages, no matter how renowned college it is. BITS Goa has very few reasons to not go there as everything is the best be it the campus, faculty, peers, or activities.
- You will meet amazing students at BITS Goa. The campus culture is very friendly and passionate.
- Faculty members are the best at the institution. Having great experience, they will offer you the best research opportunities and mentor throughout your academic career.
- Various clubs are present in BITS Goa. You will enjoy each and every one of them and learn a lot of new things.
- Goa is a famous tourist destination and the exposure it offers will always amaze you.
- The weather in Goa is beautiful and you will always love it outside.
- After spending your entire four years of your life in Goa you will not like any other place due to the weather and you will not enjoy the company of any other peer after passing from BITS Goa.
However, I feel there is a disadvantage at the campus. There is no mandatory attendance system followed which will make you very lazy and often led to missing classes. You will then depend upon the last-minute notes for preparing for exams.
What is your review of Acharya Bangalore B school, Bangalore?
I know a few people from ABBS, and based on what I heard from them I will suggest that keep an open mind and do not take admission in ABBS for PGDM as it’s definitely not equivalent to an MBA. Also, maximum people there speak the local or regional language.
Though, ABBS has beautiful Infrastructure and some good faculties with the potential to share immense knowledge with you; but, other colleges such as PESIT or AIMS or Christ or Alliance or Ramiah or Jain are better options for a management degree.

Percentage = (CGPA - 0.5) × 10
same formula applies for SGPA to semester percentage: Percentage = (SGPA - 0.5) × 10

Which is better IIM or NICMAR??
It is pretty clear that IIMs are better than NICMAR. I am assuming you are talking about new generation IIMs.
IIMs have a different reputation in the corporate world. All companies die to recruit candidates from IIMs, and in the future, run values of IIMs are only going to increase, and an IIM tag can help you in reaching a CXO level in the corporate world plus IIMs offer a great culture and students life, various clubs and committee and various case competitions in IIMs will help you grooming, and you can make some good connections with the IIM fraternity.
Can JNTUK send transcripts to WES?
Earlier JNTUK didn't have any kind of service to send transcripts on the students behalf to any college or organization. But now things have changed and now it is possible to send transcripts by applying it on their official website.
Here are the steps to apply for a transcript.
- First of all, you will have to get attested all the transcripts photocopies by your college principal and then send all these transcript copies to the Registrar/Controller of Exams JNTUK.
- You will have to include some other important documents such as xerox of your Aadhar card, academic records request form which will be provided by WES by filling section A and get it signed by your principal at the end of section B, and a formal letter requesting your Registrar/Controller of Exams of JNTUK to give you WES address and reference number.
- Then pay the required amount for the transcripts by visiting the website of the JNTUH examination and by clicking on the highlighted link. Complete the payment as per the given instructions. Do the payment for postal charges for WES. Attach the payment receipt too.
- Upon receiving your mail, the university will send your scanned copies to WES and they will also send the attested transcripts to WES by post.
This is the complete process by which the transcript of a student is being sent from JNTUK to WES.
How are IIM A students different from students of, say, SP Jain, NMIMS, FMS or JB?
The peer pool of IIM Ahmedabad varies from that of other B-schools like SP Jain, FMS, and NMIMS because of the admission criteria and quality of intake. The majority of the IIM Ahmedabad batch comprises performing students with CAT percentile almost touching 100 percentile. and most of them got close to the 100 percentile in CAT and they get opportunities to study business studies in IIM A, B, and C. Very few students get into IIMs through the process of diversification only if they scored more than 80 percent grade in Xth, XII th and Graduate Examinations. The other B schools like SP Jain, FMS, NMIMS, or JB don’t have such strict criteria and the peer pool comprises students from diverse academic profiles rather than just top CAT rankers.
This is the major point of difference between the two kinds of B Schools. As a result of this, IIM Ahmedabad students are offered better placement opportunities at the global level than these average B-schools.
How are the placements at NIT Warangal for an MTech in the VLSI branch?
NIT Warangal is one of the top NITs so the placements for every branch are great. 1st-year students receive internship offers from February. Placement opportunities are available in the second year also. It is better to get some practical exposure through internships rather than staying in college.

Overall, if you want to secure good packages, work hard in the first year and maintain good grades. Getting internship offers does not necessarily mean you will get laced. So dont give up on the hard work!
How difficult is to get a branch change at IIT Kanpur?
Branch change at IIT Kanpur can be a challenging process, as you have to meet specific academic and performance criteria.
The process usually involves filling out an application and meeting with a committee to review your request. The committee will consider factors such as your grades, extracurricular activities, research experience, and overall fit for the desired program.
Every branch has 2 vacant seats after the first year. Usually, there are more than 2 people who have a 10 CPI. To get a branch change into CS, one requires a perfect 10. While for other branches the situation is a bit flexible. If 3 students left a particular branch for another branch, then the seat availability for that branch will be 2+3, 5. This brings down the CPI cutoff.
It's important to keep in mind that the acceptance rate for branch change requests is typically quite low, so it's important to have a well-prepared application and be prepared for the possibility of not being granted a change.
How is marks distribution in 8th semester engineering in vtu?
According to one of my friends at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), the total marks in the eighth semester of engineering are 750. There are a total of 6 subjects.
The distribution is as follows:
- There are 4 subjects whose theory carries 100 marks in the external examination and 25 in the internal examination.
- After this, there is a seminar that is marked out of 50 and it is internally evaluated.
- The most important is Project work, as it carries the maximum marks of 200.
- The marks are then divided equally into internal and external examinations.
- In order to score well in project works and seminars, you need to make sure to have a good impression of the guide.
The marks distribution is based on Choice Based Credit System. It will be updated in the year 2020.
How is the life of a middle class student at the Manipal Institute of Technology?
I am assuming that you wish to know if the crowd at MIT is friendly. As a middle class student, even I was afraid of being left out while joining MIT. I feared that the students might have hierarchies of sorts, based on wealth and social status.
As an introvert, it was especially difficult for me to approach my batchmates. But the cultural diversity of my batch made me curious to know each one of the students.
To overcome my hesitation, I decided to go and talk to my batchmates during breaks. I admit that it's quite nerve wracking to approach a stranger and talk to them.
I was pleasantly surprised that everyone was very sweet and welcoming. None was rude or arrogant, instead, they were as willing as me to drive the conversation ahead. This gave me so much confidence that I kept increasing my network beyond my batch.
Earlier, I looked at people as mere strangers. Now I noticed how different each person was. Everyone had their own stories and passions.
Through my experience I wanted to tell you that you’ll meet some amazing people at MIT. Manipal Institute of Technology offers great exposure and personality development to its students. You won’t find groupism based on wealth. So, irrespective of your background, you’ll have a good time over here.
