What is IIT Kanpur doing wrong compared to other IITs?
To answer this question in a single line, IIT Kanpur’s relative grading system is the absolute nightmare of the Institute. While other institutes have a continuous grading system like 10.9,8,7,6,5 and so on, IIT Kanpur follows a relative grading system. Under this grading is done in this manner:
- A* = 10 Outstanding
- A = 10 Excellent
- B = 8 Good
- C = 6 Fair
- D = 4 Pass
- E = 2 Exposure/Repeat
- F = 0 Fail
The discontinuity in grade points becomes a major issue when applying for higher education or off-campus placements. When you will be evaluated among other IITians you will see students with a 9 which is the usual criterion for placements. But at IIT Kanpur you can either get a 10 or an 8. The same issue arises for applying for MS covert or IIMs.
Basically, someone with an 8+CGPA will be given a 10-grade score while someone with an 8 CGPA will get a 7 rating score thereby reducing the chances of getting a call from B schools.
What is the worst thing about IIM Calcutta?

There was an aspiring engineer Divyansh Srivastava who got into BITS Pilani on the first attempt with an Integrated MSc course. He wasn’t satisfied and decided to sit for JEE again. This time his rank was 904 and could have easily taken CSE at Pilani but instead, he chose to take risks and was able to get into IIT Bombay Chemical. Still, he wasn’t satisfied and decided to take one last risk and miraculously got CSE, IIT Bombay.
The main moral from this incident is that once you believe in yourself you can almost achieve anything.
How is the general management program of XLRI?
XLRI Jamshedpur has been ranked 9th for Management by NIRF in 2019.The student intake for the General Management programme is 120 and total fees is around 21 lacs.

If you are considering Amity University, Noida for Engineering, it is recommended that you do not enroll there. According to students who completed their bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from there, it's a pathetic place to study. They claim that the quality of teaching is very poor, research is nil, and fees are too high. They highly recommend that you join KIIT, Bhubaneswar for a B.Tech, rather than Amity University, Noida.
Based on their experience, they believe that anyone who recommends Amity is either lying or trying to get a commission from you. Therefore, it's advised that you look into other options and do your research before making a decision on where to pursue your engineering degree.

Which is the better MBBS college of Mumbai - TNMC, LTMC, Grant Medical College or RN Cooper?

What is an ideal percentile in CAT to get into IIM Indore? I have scored 82 % in 10th and 75 % in 12th currently pursuing my graduation (non-eng), category - OBC.
The overall and sectional CAT cutoffs for IIM Indore are 80 and 70 respectively for OBC category. The cutoffs remain the same each year with slight variation. IIM Indore is one of the few top colleges that don’t give much importance to CAT Scores. If your cat percentile is decent enough to get a call from IIM Indore, the ball is in your court. Which one is better, NIT or NSIT?
Both NITs and NSUT have their own plus and minus points. Let us look at a few plus points of NSUT Delhi-
- Placements - It has better placements than all the NITs, DTU, and even a few IITs.
- Location - It has a locational advantage as it is in Delhi. Also, it is located near the metro station, so you can travel across Delhi quite easily.
- Campus - The campus is good. The academic, administrative, and other departments are located near each other. There is a large playground, sports facilities, and a running track. Parts of the campus are covered in a lush green forest.
- Faculty - The faculty consists of two kinds of teachers. First are those who teach really well, are regular, and give good assignments and valuable learnings. They are supportive and encourage the students to indulge in project work.
The second category consists of those who are there just for the sake of it.
But even NITs have a similar situation in this regard.
In terms of project opportunities, lab facilities, technical fests, and technical societies, the NITs are a better choice.
Depending on your priorities, you can choose between the two. NSUT Delhi is a great choice if you wish to study over there.
What is the way to write in the AKTU semester exams to get the best marks?
My sister was a student at AKTU university and shared a few simple tips that will help you ace your exams.
- Illustrate your answers well with the help of diagrams.
- Don’t write your answers in paragraphs, rather use pointers while writing your answers.
- The examiner will probably not read entire answers, hence it’s advisable to underline important points either with a different ink or underline.
- If you do not know a particular answer, write whatever basic knowledge you have related to it.
- Don’t leave any answer blank as this may leave a negative impression on the examiner.
