What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from B.Des DTU??

I
IndigoReverie Posted On : March 28th, 2026

As a current B.Des student at DTU, I’ve learned that the in-hand salary for graduates can vary a lot. From what I’ve gathered, many students land jobs with an average package of about 10-12 lakhs per annum. There are some exceptional cases where students have even bagged offers as high as 1.8 crores! I’m looking forward to internships in my third year, which should give me a clearer picture of the salary potential.

B
BaronVonBlumpkin Posted On : March 28th, 2026

At DTU, the B.Des program consists of 8 semesters over a duration of 4 years. I’m just starting out, but I’ve heard that the curriculum is quite comprehensive, covering everything from product design to industrial design in the first year. This setup really helps us build a solid foundation before we choose our specific areas of focus.

How is B.Des branch at DTU? What about its placement in 2025/26??

P
PensiveParrot Posted On : March 26th, 2026

I’m enjoying my time in the B.Des course at DTU! The college offers a good mix of theoretical and practical learning, though I think some practical aspects could be emphasized more. As for placements in 2025/26, many students have secured great jobs, with some landing roles at companies like Microsoft and Google. While the highest package was 1.8 crores, the average package is around 10-12 lakhs, which is decent for a design program. The campus life is also vibrant, with plenty of clubs and activities, making it a well-rounded experience!

Is doing B.Des from DTU any good?

C
ChronicCritic Posted On : March 24th, 2026

I’m really enjoying my B.Des at DTU. The course curriculum is up-to-date and mostly relevant, but I do feel like they should update it more frequently due to the fast-paced changes in design technology. The internship prospects seem great—there are even startup incubation programs that provide paid internships, which is a big plus. Placements are pretty good; I’ve heard of students landing jobs at companies like Microsoft and Google. The fee structure is a bit tough, though. You have to pay around 15-16 lakhs for the entire course upfront, which can be a stretch. But overall, if you’re passionate about design, DTU is a solid option.

What is the fees structure of DTU for B.Des??

C
CrimsonKestrel Posted On : March 24th, 2026

At DTU, the B.Des program fees are set at approximately 2.5 lakhs each year, which means you’ll end up paying around 10 lakhs for the full course. Don’t forget to factor in the hostel charges, which are around 80 thousand per year, and food costs that can go up to 50 thousand. Overall, you’re looking at around 15 to 16 lakhs for four years. There are scholarship options available, especially for those who perform well, so it's worth looking into that!

What is the total cost for B.Des in DTU??

P
PhantomLeitmotif Posted On : March 24th, 2026

DTU is well-known for its technical courses. I checked the website, and it doesn’t provide much information about the design department. If you have the option to join a reputed design institute, go for it! Otherwise, DTU can be a choice. You can also intern at IIT. Always stay connected with design students from different colleges!

ChaoticCricket Posted On : March 17th, 2026

Getting into DTU's B.Des program is no cakewalk! You need to score under 200 in the UCEED exam for the general category. If you’re from Delhi, you might have a shot with a rank under 1000, which can make a big difference. The design program has a solid curriculum and great internship opportunities, so it’s definitely a good choice if you make the cut.

Does DTU give CPI or aggregate in B.Des at the end?

M
MiserableMascot Posted On : March 14th, 2026

At DTU, we get a CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) for the B.Des course. It's pretty cool because it gives a clear indication of our performance throughout the years. I’m currently in my first year, and I’ve heard that the CPI system really helps in understanding where we stand academically, especially when we head towards internships and placements.

UCEED cutoff percentage for B.Design at IIT Hyderabad in the year 2024 and 2025?

VB
Vinima Bhola Posted On : June 23rd, 2025

For candidates to IIT Hyderabad's B.Des (Bachelor of Design) programme through UCEED, there is no official "cutoff percentage." Instead, admission is based on the All India Ranks (AIR) obtained in the UCEED exam, and the cutoff is the final rank for each category in each round of seat distribution.
