Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) has joined hands with Tata Steel Foundation to create a pool of skilled professionals in the CSR sector, offering a year-long online Post Graduate Certificate Course on Corporate Social Responsibility.
New Delhi: As per the latest updates, Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) to jointly develop a one-of-its-kind Online PG Certificate Program on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
The MoU was signed at the XLRI campus in Jamshedpur by Fr. S George, Director of XLRI and Sourav Roy, Chief Executive Officer of Tata Steel Foundation in the presence of Chanakya Chaudhary, Director of Tata Steel Foundation. The program is approved by AICTE.
Expressing his joy on this initiative, Fr. S George, Director of XLRI Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur said, “XLRI always believes in taking steps “for the greater good”. Through this program, we will create synergies between Tata Steel Foundation’s expertise in leveraging CSR for social good, and XLRI’s academic prowess to create empathetic social impact leaders of tomorrow for India and the world”.
As a part of this collaboration, XLRI and TSF will create a one-year, internationally competitive, demanding, and institutionally recognised online post-graduate certificate program.

Over the course of ten years, the institute will create the most crucial and in-demand skill sets, knowledge base, and attitudes necessary for succeeding in the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and social-impact management area in India and the rest of the globe.
In addition to this, both parties will execute relevant content and processes to ensure the successful delivery of the Online PG Certification Course on CSR. The program will include case studies, research papers, white papers, articles, books, and other textual/audio-visual materials like films/videos, etc..
Speaking on this occasion, Sourav Roy, CEO-TSF said, “The PGCCSR course is a unique effort in that it accentuates our intention to create a platform for imbibing wisdom from communities; those arising out of life experiences and not limited to classrooms”.
