Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR, has released its undergraduate fee structure for the session 2026. It has set out clear and detailed costs for tuition, living, and other charges. The university is also emphasising its scholarship and financial-aid programmes to make education more accessible for deserving students.

According to the SNU official announcement, students will need to pay a one-time entrance fee of ₹2,500 when they apply. Upon admission, there is a non-refundable admission fee of ₹60,000, and a refundable security deposit of ₹30,000, which will be returned when the student leaves the university.

For the first year (2026 batch), the annual tuition fees and living costs vary significantly by program. For engineering students in Chemical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering, tuition is ₹4.25 lakh, with living expenses of ₹2.43 lakh, summing to a total of ₹6.68 lakh.

In high-demand programs like Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering, the tuition is set at ₹6 lakh, making the total cost (with living charges) ₹8.43 lakh for the first year.

Students enrolling in the Bachelor of Design (B.Des), B.Sc. (Research) Economics, B.Sc. Economics & Finance, and BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) programs will also pay ₹6 lakh in tuition plus the same living charge (₹2.43 lakh), bringing their first-year cost to ₹8.43 lakh for most of these courses.

For more specialized science programs, B.Sc. (Research) in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, the tuition fee is ₹4 lakh, with living costs remaining at ₹2.43 lakh. This brings the total to ₹6.43 lakh for the first academic year.

The B.A. (Research) International Relations program is slightly cheaper, with tuition at ₹4 lakh, giving a total first-year cost of ₹6.43 lakh when combined with living expenses.

Shiv Nadar University also offers a dual-degree “2+2” program in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), where students study for two years at SNU (Delhi) and then move to ASU in the USA for the final two years. For the first two years at SNU, the cost is ₹8 lakh per year in tuition, plus ₹2.43 lakh in living-charge: a total of ₹10.43 lakh per year for Year 1 and Year 2.

The university cautions that tuition and living charges may be revised annually, up to 8% per year.

On the living-expense side, the ₹2.43 lakh estimate is based on twin-sharing AC hostel rooms. Non-AC twin-sharing rooms are cheaper, estimated at ₹2.28 lakh per year. The living expenses include not just accommodation, but also mess (food), laundry, and access to 24×7 primary medical services on campus.

For students in the dual-degree ASU track, SNU also provides an estimate of the US costs (Years 3 and 4): US$ 45,000 per year for tuition and US$ 15,000 per year for living expenses. However, SNU notes that this is an estimate and ASU reserves the right to modify fees.

To help students manage these costs, Shiv Nadar University is promoting several scholarships and financial aid programs. There are merit-based scholarships, need-based aid, scholarships for JEE and UCEED achievers, sports scholarships, and special schemes like a Women in B.Tech scholarship and a Vice-Chancellor’s scholarship.

Financial aid applicants must submit detailed personal and financial documents, such as family income, tax returns, bank statements, and proof of assets. The university conducts verification (including home visits) before granting aid. Recipients must maintain a CGPA of 7.0 and at least 75% attendance each semester to retain their aid over the four-year program.
