As per the earlier editions of PEC’s PhD brochure, the fee structure includes several components. For instance, there is a one-time admission fee of ₹5,000, along with a student service fee of ₹6,000, and a refundable security deposit of ₹8,000. Additionally, regular full-time PhD students paid academic fees of ₹11,500 per semester, plus ₹3,000 per semester for “other facilities and services” in previous years’ brochures.

PEC’s leadership emphasizes that this revised fee structure aims to remain competitive and fair for research scholars, while supporting the institute’s mission to foster high-quality, principle-based scientific research.

The university also notes that fee components are subject to revision over time, depending on institute's policy. Prospective PhD students should carefully check the detailed fee breakdown, as the total payable amount may vary depending on their chosen department and any additional fees.

This update comes as PEC Chandigarh continues to expand its doctoral programmes across a wide array of disciplines, including engineering, sciences, humanities, and management.

Candidates are advised to refer to the official January 2026 PhD brochure on the PEC Chandigarh website for full details.
