NIMS Hyderabad PhD Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the Doctoral programme will be based on an entrance test, conducted by the institute, followed by multiple rounds of interviews. Applicants are required to hold a postgraduate degree in life sciences & allied courses with at least 60% marks, or candidates with an MBBS or BDS degree programme should have a minimum of 50% marks.

Candidates who score valid marks in the Joint CSIR-UGC NET JRF, ICMR JRF, ICMR SRF, DBT JRF, DBT SRF, and INSPIRE Fellowship exams will be exempted from the screening test.

Applicants who qualify NIMS PhD Written examination must qualify with a minimum of 50% marks to proceed to the interview stage. The screening test will be done on the scheduled date, time, and venue.

Selection for PhD at NIMS Hyderabad will be based on the merit scored in the interview, percentage scored in the highest qualifying examination, percentage scored in the next highest qualifying examination, and the candidate with the senior age. All communication will be communicated via email and displayed on the website.
