NTA has released important guidelines for NIFTEE-2025, scheduled on 9 February 2025, including Aadhaar-based verification, exam day rules, marking scheme, and permissible items. Candidates must follow all instructions, carry valid ID proof.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory and important instructions for candidates appearing in the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) - 2025. The NIFT 2025 entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on 09 February 2025 (Sunday) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Paper-Based Test (PBT) mode across 81 cities in India. This examination is for admission to various UG and PG programs for the academic session 2025-26.

Important Instructions for Candidates
Admit Card and Examination Centre Guidelines
- Candidates should download their NIFT 2025 Admit Card from the NTA website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT).
- Check the reporting time, gate closing time, exam shift, and venue mentioned on the Admit Card.
- It is advisable to visit the examination centre in advance to avoid last-minute confusion.
- Arrive at the venue on time as late entry beyond the gate closing time is strictly prohibited.
Documents Required
Candidates must carry the following documents:
- Admit Card (clear printout on A4 size paper)
- Original valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/Voter ID)
- Additional passport-size photograph (for attendance sheet)
- Self-Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
AADHAAR-Based Biometric Verification
- Candidates must carry their AADHAAR Card for biometric verification.
- Thumb impressions will be recorded multiple times; if mismatches occur, iris verification will be conducted.
- Those without Aadhaar Cards will be verified through alternative means and an Exception Form will be recorded.

Exam Guidelines and Marking Scheme
Permissible Items
- Transparent water bottle
- Transparent ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser, ruler (for B.Des. and M.Des. candidates)
- A-4 Transparent Acrylic Board (for drawing-based tests)
Prohibited Items
- Electronic devices, mobile phones, smartwatches, and bags are strictly not allowed.
- Personal belongings must be left outside as there is no storage facility at the centre.
Marking Scheme
- +1 mark for every correct answer.
- -0.25 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
- No marks for unattempted questions.
- If a question is dropped due to errors, full marks will be awarded to all candidates.
- If multiple correct answers are identified after key challenges, marks will be awarded only to those who selected the correct option as per the revised key.

PwD Candidates and Scribe Facility
- Candidates with physical disabilities are eligible for 20 minutes extra time per hour of examination.
- PwD candidates can bring their own scribe or request one from NTA (only if mentioned in the application form).
- Scribe facility is not available for the Creative Ability Test (CAT).
Strict Examination Conduct
- CCTV surveillance and jammers will be present in all centres to prevent malpractice.
- Any attempt at unfair means (such as passing chits) will result in strict punitive action and debarment from future NTA exams.
- Candidates must ensure that the question paper on the screen matches their opted subject and medium. Any mismatch should be reported to the invigilator immediately.
