WB CAP 2026 Mop-Up Phase Registration Closes on September 19; Check Steps to Apply

The Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, has released the revised schedule for the West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal (WBCAP) 2026 Mop-Up Phase. Registration on the Decentralised Admission Portal (DAP) closes on September 19, 2026. Candidates must apply at the official portal, dap.wbcap.in.

The seat allocation list will be published on September 22, 2026. This Mop-Up Phase covers vacant undergraduate seats in state degree colleges across West Bengal. The revised timeline follows a government directive issued on September 15, 2026.

The revised schedule compresses the full Mop-Up activity into a ten-day window. Applicants must plan submissions and document checks accordingly.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The revised notification permits two categories of candidates to participate in the Mop-Up Phase. The eligibility window is deliberately wide to fill remaining vacant seats.

• New applicants who did not register on the Centralised Admission Portal earlier this cycle.
• Existing WBCAP applicants who could not secure admission in the previous rounds.
• Existing applicants who were allotted seats but chose not to accept them.

How to Register for the WB CAP 2026 Mop-Up Phase?

The registration is handled entirely on the Decentralised Admission Portal. Candidates must complete the process within the tight four-day window.

1. Visit the official portal at dap.wbcap.in.
2. Click on the sign-up link to create a new account.
3. Enter valid personal, academic, and contact details.
4. Upload scanned copies of the required documents.
5. Select preferred colleges and undergraduate programmes.
6. Submit the application before the September 19, 2026 deadline.

1. Open dap.wbcap.in and check the vacant seat matrix.
2. Keep Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets ready in scanned form.
3. Register and complete the application by September 19, 2026.
