IIM Indore Achieves 100% Summer Placements for PGP-HRM 2024–26, Record High Stipend INR 4 Lakhs

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has successfully concluded its Summer Placement process for the PGP HRM 2024-26 batch, achieving 100% internship placements for all 39 students. Over 40 leading recruiters participated in the process, reflecting the industry’s growing trust in the institute’s HR talent pool.

This year, the institute recorded its highest ever stipend of INR 4 lakhs, while the average stipend stood at INR 2.44 lakhs and the median at INR 2.40 lakhs. The top 10% of the batch secured an average of INR 4 lakhs, the top 25% received INR 3.44 lakhs, and the top 50% bagged an average of INR 2.98 lakhs.

The HR domain led the placements with 62% of offers, followed by Consulting (12%), Strategy (12%), General Management (5%), and Sales (5%).

Students represented diverse academic backgrounds, including Commerce, Humanities, Economics, Management, Science, Engineering, Medicine, Mass Media, and Mathematics. The average age was 24 years, and the average work experience stood at 12 months, spanning domains such as IT/ITES (30%), Education (20%), Government/PSUs (15%), Auditing (10%), and Others (25%).

Prominent recruiters included Accenture Strategy, Aon, Deloitte USI, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, ICICI Bank, Reserve Bank of India, Tata Consumer Products, Vedanta, JSW, Samsung Research, Capgemini, and People Asset. Several new recruiters, such as BPCL, RBI, Tata Consumer Products, and Accenture Strategy, joined the placement process this year, expanding opportunities across diverse sectors like Consulting, Manufacturing, BFSI, Oil & Gas, Logistics, and IT/ITES.

PGP-HRM Program

The Post Graduate Programme in Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM) at IIM Indore is the first of its kind at the institute, reaffirming its legacy as a pioneer of innovative management education in India. It has been conducted over two years and six terms, and the program blends academic rigor with industry relevance, preparing students to become future-ready HR leaders. All students are certified in Hogan Psychometric Instruments and T group Assessments, and gain hands-on experience in Data Analytics tools such as SPSS, Tableau, Orange, Jamovi, and Power BI. The key focus areas of the curriculum include Human Resource Planning, Selection, Analytics, Performance Management, HR Information Systems, Training, and Development.

To further enhance employability, the PGP HRM program at IIM Indore is SHRM-aligned, giving students access to exclusive SHRM resources and making them eligible for SHRM certification, a globally recognized credential in Human Resource Management.
