Reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam. You shall not be allowed to enter the hall/classroom after 2:15 PM under any circumstances.

CLAT 2026 Bell Timings: Your Complete Schedule

You need to understand the bell timings for a smooth exam experience. Here's the detailed timeline you must follow:

1:30 PM Long Bell Candidates must be seated in the hall/classroom

Critical Note: You will be permitted to enter the test centre premises from 1:00 PM onwards and must be seated by 1:30 PM. Once you enter the hall/classroom after 2:00 PM, you cannot leave until 4:00 PM.

Essential Documents to Carry

Take a coloured printout of the admit card along with the exam day instructions on the second page. Staple both pages together to avoid mishandling.

CLAT 2026 Dress Code: What to Wear

You must follow the dress code as mentioned in the guidelines. Non-compliance with dress code instructions might lead to on-the-spot disqualification.

  • Wear light, comfortable clothing suitable for sitting for extended periods
  • Half-sleeved shirt or t-shirt without big buttons or emblems
  • Avoid flashy, provocative, or exposed attire

Strictly Prohibited Items at Exam Centre

The following items are banned and must not be carried inside the examination hall:

  • Smartwatches, fitness bands, health bands
  • Bluetooth devices, headphones, headsets
  • Cameras, pagers, microphones
  • Calculators (No calculators allowed in CLAT 2026)

Critical Warning: If you are caught in possession of any banned items in the exam room, officials will call it misconduct and take action against you for using unfair means. No storage or locker facility is available at examination centres.

Special Guidelines for PWD/SAP Candidates

CLAT 2026 provides special guidelines for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Specially Abled Persons (SAPs):

Extended Time:

  • PWDs and SAPs receive 2 hours 40 minutes (40 minutes extra time)
  • Regular exam timing: 2:00 PM to 4:40 PM

Documentation Required:

  • The original Disability Certificate must be brought to the test centre
  • The certificate must be shown during identity verification

Scribe Facility:

  • PWDs/SAPs should arrange for a scribe if needed

Documents to Retain After CLAT 2026

You must retain the following documents after completing the test:
