The CLAT 2026 Exam is finally over, and candidates are coming out of their centers after appearing for the CLAT Exam. As per the initial feedback, the exam was of moderate difficulty level, with more than 50% of the questions being reading-based and highly time-consuming. 

The CLAT Exam included 120 MCQs of 120 marks, with a negative marking of -0.25 marks, and was conducted in more than 140 test centers. 

In the CLAT Exam, the English language carried a weightage of 20%, current affairs of 25%, legal reasoning of 25% weightage, logical reasoning of 20% weightage, and quantitative techniques will carry 10%.

CLAT 2026: Reporting & Bell Timing

As the exam will start at 2 P.M., you should reach the exam center well before the start to ensure proper verification, seating, and distribution of the question paper.

Event Time / Instruction
Reporting / Gate-opening (enter centre premises) From 1:00 PM onwards
Candidates must be seated / in the hall by 1:30 PM
Sealed paper envelopes distributed & instructions by the invigilator 1:50 PM (Short bell)
Exam start time / long-bell / you may open the envelope 2:00 PM
Last entry allowed (gate closes) 2:15 PM—no entry after this time.
Exam duration 2 hours—2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Do not leave the hall before 4:00 PM (exam end)—early exit generally not allowed.
