MHT CET 2023 Paper Analysis May 9 Shift 1 and 2 (Available): Check Difficulty Level, Marking Scheme, Questions

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell successfully conducted MHT CET 2023 May 9 PCM exam in two shifts. Shift 1 exam was held from 9 AM to 12 Noon and shift 2 from 2 PM to 5 PM. Students can check the paper's analysis along with the question papers below.

The analysis is based on the initial reactions from the candidates and subject experts. As per the students, MHT CET 2023 May 9 Shift 1 question paper was ‘overall moderate’ in terms of difficulty level but a bit lengthy. The Physics part was moderate and the questions from Chemistry were rated easy by the candidates. Some questions in the Mathematics section were lengthy and tough. 

The difficulty level of the MHT CET 2023 May 9 Shift 2 paper is rated ‘easy to moderate’ by the experts. The shift 2 paper was not lengthy as well. The Mathematics section was hard compared to Physics and Chemistry. The questions in the Physics section were slightly above the level of JEE Mains but the Chemistry questions were at the same level. The Mathematics section was lengthy. 

MHT CET 2023 May 9 Shift 1 Paper Analysis

The MHT CET 2023 shift 1 paper contained a mix of direct and tricky questions:

  • For Physics, 20-25 questions were easy and direct, the remaining questions were a little tricky and lengthy.
  • In Chemistry, around 20-25 questions were straight from the textbooks.
  • In Mathematics, around 15-18 questions were lengthy and time-consuming.

MHT CET 2023 PCM question paper contained 2 sections – Section A (Physics and Chemistry) and Section B (Mathematics). There were a total of 150 questions, 50 questions for each subject. Each section was of 100 marks making a total of 200 marks. Section A questions were of 1 mark each and each question in Section B carried 2 marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. 

MHT CET 2023: What’s Next?

MHT CET 2023 result is going to be announced after the exams are over. Before the announcement of the result, MHT CET 2023 provisional answer key is going to be released which will be open for challenge.
