Ms. Soni's educational journey began with her graduation in English (BA) and a post-graduation (MA in English) from Kurukshetra University. Committed to further honing her skills as an educator, she pursued a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree, adding a valuable pedagogical dimension to her expertise. You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector? 

I find immense satisfaction in this education industry as it allows me to impart knowledge and enhance my personality. Every day brings new opportunities for learning and growth, as I am constantly exposed to numerous questions and challenges posed by the students. Teaching is a continuous learning process, and I keep myself updated with the latest advancements and trends.

In the ever-evolving landscape of education, new courses and methodologies emerge regularly and to remain effective as an educator it is essential to embrace these changes and continuously upgrade my skills and knowledge. This pursuit of self-improvement ensures that I can provide the best possible education and guidance to the students by equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors. 

Confidence plays a crucial role in my profession. As an educator, I must exude confidence in my abilities and subject matter expertise. It inspires trust and respect from my students, allowing them to have confidence in their abilities. 

Body language is another aspect of effective teaching. Non-verbal cues can significantly impact the way students perceive and engage with the learning process. By being mindful of my body language, such as maintaining eye contact, using appropriate gestures, and displaying an open and approachable posture I can establish a strong connection with my students and foster effective communication. 

Furthermore, I understand the significance of maintaining a professional appearance. A neat and presentable appearance not only demonstrates respect for my students and the learning environment but also sets a positive example for them to emulate. It creates a sense of professionalism and instills the importance of self-presentation in the minds of my students, preparing them for their future professional endeavors.

Are there any placement opportunities for the students?

How is your relationship with the students of your college? 

My relationship with the students at DPG Degree College can be defined by a careful balance between being strict about their academic progress and maintaining a friendly and supportive atmosphere. I firmly believe that discipline is essential for their growth and success, and I strive to instill this value in them. 

During our classes, I allocate a significant portion of time, around 30 minutes out of a 40-minute session, for focused and concentrated study. This dedicated study time ensures that students have ample opportunities to grasp concepts, engage in discussions, and actively participate in the learning process. It sets the tone for a disciplined approach to their education and helps them develop a strong work ethic.

However, I also understand the importance of addressing doubts and providing moments of enjoyment during the learning process. I reserve around 10 minutes of each class for students to raise questions, seek clarification, and discuss any concerns they may have. This dedicated time not only helps them overcome challenges and deepen their understanding but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and support. It allows them to feel comfortable approaching me and their peers, leading to a more inclusive and collaborative learning environment. 

In addition to academic instruction, I believe in nurturing students' overall personality development. To facilitate this, I organize personality development sessions, where students can refine their communication skills, build self-confidence, and enhance their attributes. 

Furthermore, I strongly encourage group discussions conducted exclusively in English which leads to effective communication and language proficiency among students. 

Any suggestions/messages that you would like to give to the current youth?

As an educator, I strongly believe in guiding and motivating students to achieve their full potential. One important message I consistently emphasize is the significance of keeping oneself engaged in activities that they are passionate about. By pursuing their interests and staying busy with what they love, students find joy and fulfillment ,and develop valuable skills and discover new growth opportunities. 

However, it is crucial to ensure the balance between confidence and overconfidence. I encourage students to be confident in their abilities and believe in themselves, as self-assurance is vital for success. 

In addition to cultivating confidence, I emphasize the significance of body language in effective communication. The way we present ourselves through our body language can significantly impact how our message is received by others. It is important to align our body language with the content and context of our communication.

Above all, I consistently encourage students to embrace lifelong learning. Education does not end with formal schooling; it is a continuous journey. I urge students to have a thirst for knowledge, remain curious, and actively seek opportunities to learn and expand their horizons. 

I convey to students the importance of engaging in activities they are passionate about, fostering confidence while avoiding overconfidence, being mindful of body language in communication, and embracing a lifelong learning mindset. By internalizing these messages, students can develop a strong foundation for personal and academic growth, enabling them to navigate their educational journey with enthusiasm, resilience, and a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
