An alumnus of Graphic Era University, Dehradun, Mr. Adhikari has over 13 years of Academic and Industry Experience in Hospitality. Presently working with “The Lalit Suri Hospitality School”, Faridabad as “Lecturer” since September 2022. He specializes in Food and Beverage Service and Mixology. His international hotel exposure includes Starwood Hotels, Dubai and his domestic experience includes Jaypee Group of Hotels, Mussoorie. He was awarded Best Assistant Professor (Food and Beverage service) in “The National Education Iconic Awards 2022” by “The Vivekanand Educational and Cultural Foundation” of the year 2022. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in hotel Management from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut.

The facility of the Lalit Suri Hospitality School is of the highest caliber. Labs at our institute are fully furnished with cutting edge technology, which enables our students to develop their abilities in line with those needed by the hospitality sector.
What do you see as the University’s greatest strengths?
The main asset of our institute is the group of highly qualified personnel. Our crew has experience working in a diverse setting on both a national and international scale. Their knowledge aids them in advising and preparing students for the global hospitality sector.
How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and how do students get practical experience from studying the subject?
Students must have both theoretical and practical experience to develop effective skills. We teach students these skills through examples of various kinds of services and by giving them the chance to participate in real-world operations, which helps them hone their abilities. One approach to developing competitive abilities is through competition, and we provide them the opportunity to do both by sending them to other universities and giving them a platform to compete within.
What are some of the major changes that COVID-19 has brought in this sector according to you?
Due to Covid-19, the institute decided to train students online. The ability to instruct students via an online platform was established by the academic community. Since COVID-19, everyone may now enjoy online education. Due to the pandemic, the institute places a greater emphasis on cleanliness procedures during instruction and when performing practical sessions for all relevant departments.

How is your relationship with the students of your college?
I must mentor students to become decent people while also preparing them for care in the hospitality sector. Students pick up a lot of abilities by seeing their professors in action. In my perspective, this generation is different from ours in that they expect us to pay attention to and comprehend them. As a result, we must be both their buddy and their mentor.
What are the most important functions in the role that you play in your institute?
I must teach pupils about food and beverage operations. For the same reason, we host activities where students gain first-hand experience in the food and beverage industry on our property. These activities aid in the development of skills necessary for students to advance in their careers.
Any suggestions/messages that you would like to give to the current youth?
I have a message for young people considering a career in the hotel industry. Being kind, patient, and modest since there are many opportunities in the hospitality sector. Working in this business is now more efficient and effective thanks to technological improvement.
