What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Delegation, Communication and Guidance”

Leader should inspire its group members to achieve a common goal together. I don’t just delegate tasks and projects to team members but completely involve them in the task and mentor each one of them. I communicate with the members effectively and motivate them constantly. I also keep myself involved in the majority of tasks assigned for successful accomplishment of mission and vision of the University. I advise my teammates to constantly learn and update their skills and knowledge.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in India?

“Regular transformation in industry and fulfilment of skills in students”

Fast growing industrial and technical revolution is the biggest challenge for traditional institutes in India. Also, the quality of students is a big question mark, as nowadays there are a number of institutes available, while granting admissions. Further, lack of skills among students due to weak pedagogy in the education system in India, even after completion of their study, and also lack of communication skills is one of the major challenges.

What types of projects are students working on, in your University?

“Modern technical projects and biomedical real-life case studies”

In technical fields, we have made several advancements in the latest programs of Engineering and Technology. Students are working on Artificial Intelligence, Automation, IoT and other robotics related projects. Many students also work on various biomedical related projects which helped a lot during pandemic. We have also encouraged them by engaging them in start-up activities.

What are the best practices in the course you’re offering?

“Various activities and events as per industry requirements”

Revision in syllabus as per industry demand, conduction of online classes, interactive virtual classes, communicating via different digital media apps and tools are some good learning practices we offer to our students. Doubt solving sessions for students, mentoring students personally, and encouraging students to work on live projects are being carried out on a regular basis. We groom the students and provide hands-on skills with focusing on practical based learning, so that after completion of their study, they become employable and competent.

How do you tend to establish a healthy environment in your University?

“Positivity in work culture and interactions on a regular basis”

We build a positive working culture with students and parents so that they have faith in us. A positive environment between students and faculty members is also maintained via interactive one-to-one talk sessions, celebrating successes of students, celebrating successes of faculty members and many more such activities. We try to understand the needs of students. We invite our alumni to share their experience and support our students by mentoring them.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Understand them and assist them to reach their goals”

We need to understand the psychology of the students and engage them accordingly. We need to understand their interests and direct them to reach their goal. Proper counselling and mentoring would help them a lot to reach their goal. We have to make them the best learner and should provide the academic atmosphere in such a way that they should enjoy education rather than feeling a burden.
