Sri Sharda Group Of Institutions

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Teaching and research are my passions and for the same reason, I joined the education sector immediately after completing my doctoral dissertation. And as an educator, I don’t just teach students, I also have to keep upskilling myself and learn the current trends so that whatever I deliver them I can deliver in the best possible way.

Being the Dean of the institute, what is your philosophy of leadership?

I firmly believe that true Leadership is all about collaboration and inspiring others to do their best work. Hence, I aim to be direct and regularly collaborate with my team members by delegating tasks, leading by example, and making sure they know I care and I have their back all the time.

How does the curriculum of your Institute ensure the best practices of the industry?

Our curriculum is a blend of the best academic theories and industrial practices and we regularly renew it based on the latest developments, trends, requirements and standards of both the educational and industrial sectors. Apart from this, we use business simulations, real-time case studies, live projects and different kinds of teaching pedagogies and practices to make sure our students are well-equipped to become industry managers and leaders.

How is your institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

For students, Sri Sharda is one of the best business schools, where they will experience the blend of best academic and industrial practices. And the main mission of our institution is to promote student achievements by making them competent on a global level, fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access to education for everyone. And we don’t discriminate among students based on their personal or economic background and accept students from all over the country. And we truly cherish the diversity of students that we currently have in our college.

What are your roles and responsibilities for the Institute and students?

Being a Founder Dean, my prime responsibility is to act as a bridge between the students, their parents, faculty and staff members and the administrators of our institution. I also need to provide my assistance whenever there is an individual or group crisis in the institution and I usually fix the situation by explaining the campus procedures to everyone and advocating for students as and when required.

How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your institute?

I along with my amazing team first analyze and understand the ideal traits we want in our future students and to whom we want to give admission in our courses, because not every single person with a pulse is a strong candidate for our programs. And once I know and understand the ideal potential student I want to attract, we develop more focused marketing strategies and can easily focus on quality opportunities we have to provide them.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

We seek transformational changes in the upcoming time so that we can turn our vision into reality. And I personally believe that the most important yet neglected aspect of our education system is its spirituality. And in today’s time, spiritual competence is very much required for our daily existence. So we would like to inculcate the spiritual competence in our students in upcoming years so that we cannot only offer good professionals but amazing people back to society.

What do you see as the greatest strengths of your institute?

Our educational institute provides a safe learning space and best quality education to students and inculcates in them amazing lifelong skills under the direct influence and supervision of teachers. Hence in my opinion, our highly qualified and extensively experienced faculty members are the biggest pillar of our institution.

What would you like people to know about your institution that makes it unique and different from others?

We at Sri Sharda Group of Institutions provide a conducive and experiential learning environment to our students in order to upgrade their academic skills and proficiencies and help them fully realize their potential as they are the contributing citizens of their nation. And this I believe differentiate us from other institutions in terms of quality education we offer to our students.

What biggest challenges do you see, both for higher education in general and for your institute specifically?

At present, despite the country's rapid economic growth and increasing prosperity, many bright students of rural and underprivileged communities don’t have access to either education or quality education and this I believe is one of the biggest challenges which we as an educational institution need to address on an earliest basis.

How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?

For the purpose of ensuring a good relationship and environment in my college, I regularly communicate with everyone, be it my dear students or teachers and staff members. Because I personally believe that it's always a good idea to set aside some time just to talk about the way things are going and misunderstanding only arises when people don't talk to each other regularly and important issues remain unresolved.

Any suggestions that you would like to give to the current youth and our aspiring students?

I would like to suggest to my dear students and ambitious youths of our society to bring a change in their mindset as it’s very crucial for their personal and professional growth. So learn to quickly adapt to new changes and pressurized work scenarios and reskill yourself rather than upskilling. Also, never be afraid of asking questions or exploring new things by coming out of your comfort zones and be always ready for any unwanted scenarios just like the Pandemic which has severely impacted everyone’s life.
