Why MBA from IMT Ghaziabad?

MBA was in my mind for a long time, from my engineering days I was inclined toward business, but it got materialized only after working in a tech company for 8 months as a developer. I got inspired by watching growth stories and revolutionary risk takers doing the unimaginable.

I gave the CAT and XAT of 2022 and got into IMT after several rounds of the admission process. Offer letters were rolled out based on CAT/XAT scores, dates were allocated for the interview process. I can still remember the day; It was 4th February and was the first college among all the colleges for which I got shortlisted. Coming from a corporate setup I was prepared for the hard grilling Interview; The first stage of the process was a critical thinking test for which we had to write a writeup analysing the given topic. 

I don’t remember the exact topic but it was related to Women Rights, after 30 mins of the allocated time we were given a lunch break at 1:30, the interview process started at 2 and mine was allocated at 4:30 in the evening; In the interview there were 2 of our economics professors, it was not grilling as I expected and was about the current events that were taking place during that month (Adani Vs Hindenburg, in my case).

USP Of IMT Ghaziabad

IMT was a no-brainer among the colleges that I converted as it has a huge Alumni base and thousands of them as CXOs, after talking to a few seniors I made up my mind to join IMT.

I got my desired branch (Dual country programme), in this programme we are supposed to complete our internship in Dubai that we are provided through our career services team and after completing out international internship we are given a choice to opt for placements in either through IMT Ghaziabad or through our career services team based in Dubai. I believe no one will skip this once in a lifetime opportunity if given a chance.

IMT Ghaziabad Hostel

We were allocated hostels on the day of registration, I stayed at both E and I blocks but my time at E block was fun, we played cricket in the corridors at late nights after completing out pre reads of the next day, my hostel mates were helpful and would wake you up before the early 9 AM class in the morning.

Food was way better than my previous college’s mess food, here we get deserts after each meal, paneer butter masala is the best thing found here and the gulab jamuns how can I forget that.

IMT Ghaziabad Placements

The summer Internship week was hectic, I haven’t seen many companies come for hiring in my engineering days, so the experience was totally different. My dream company Microsoft was coming to campus and that made me the happiest alive on receiving the news. Everyone attended workshops on how to build the best CVs, and how to communicate better with a hiring manager. College alumni took sessions, talking about their days and how they attended the entire process. The days went by so fast. In MBA months pass by as days.

Life at IMT Ghaziabad 

I am still in my first year, that makes it even more exciting as I have 1 more year to cherish these days, and why not after all discussing each case, analyzing it, creating reports and having Ice-creams late at nights with friends is worth all the efforts, If someone asks me If one should go for an MBA or not at IMT, I would say he should totally go for it. 

This learning I believe will help in becoming mentally stronger for the future and the relationships that we foster during our stay here will be there till the end, the seniors here are the best. I am in the IT and analytics club and the seniors here are the best. They will never leave you alone at your worst and will treat us to pizzas during club work. I have made so many memories organizing events from our club’s side and made so many good friends.
