Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), one of India’s top AACSB-accredited business schools, is very proud to share that our student team has been announced as the Global Winner, UN PRME Global Students Sustainability Awards 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The winning team "BIMTECH - UFE" was composed of students Neer Soni, Arunojya Vats, and Deval Kambaliya, and was supported by Dr. Reeti Kulshrestha, Faculty - Sustainability and Responsible Business at BIMTECH.

The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) via its UN PRME Global Student Sustainability Awards presented this prestigious award to recognize student-led organizations that have engaged meaningfully with sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), consistent with the Seven Principles of Responsible Management Education. The BIMTECH-UFE team was presented with a USD 2000 cash prize, courtesy of Marketplace Simulations, to help their present and future sustainability endeavors.

Expressing delight, Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director of BIMTECH, shared,
“It is an extremely proud moment for us to witness that our faculty and students are being recognized at global and reputed platforms. This memorable achievement proves that for us sustainability is not just a subject to be studied but a purpose to be lived. Moments like these motivate us and act as a testament that we as an institute are moving in the right direction. The journey to the global level included a challenging, 6 month-long, multi-stage assessment process for students; one of the key rounds was hosted by Marketplace Simulations. During this round, teams were asked to run a sustainable, virtual enterprise over five weeks using collaborative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making with a sustainability focus. From being the South and Central Asia Regional Winner to the Top 5, to the Top runner-up, to ultimately the Global Winner... the BIMTECH team prevailed.

Encouraged by the visionary legacy of its founders, Late Basant Kumar Birla and Sarala Birla, BIMTECH continues to contribute to management education with innovative programs like PGDM, PGDM–International Business (IB), PGDM–Retail Management (RM), and PGDM–Insurance Business Management (IBM).
