BIMTECH Admission 2027 has started for its 2 year flagship PGDM batch of 2027-29. Candidates can apply online at bimtech.ac.in, with a non-refundable application fee of INR 2,250. BIMTECH offers no management quota or direct admissions, all seats are filled only through CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT scores (MAT 2026-27 also accepted for the IBM and RM programmes).
- The expected cutoff remains consistent at the 75th percentile for CAT/XAT/GMAT, and the 95th percentile for CMAT.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for an Extempore and Personal Interview.
- The final merit list is based on entrance exam percentile (35%), PI and Extempore (25%), past academics, engineering degree, work experience, regional diversity and gender weightages.
- BIMTECH releases the final selection list in March, and classes generally begin in June/July.
BIMTECH offers 300 seats in PGDM (plus 45 supernumerary) and 60 seats each in PGDM IB, IBM and RM. BIMTECH also offers a doctoral-level Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), an Executive Fellow Programme in Management for working professionals, and a 2 year Online PGDM at roughly one-tenth the cost.
BIMTECH PGDM Admission 2027
PGDM is the largest program at BIMTECH. It carries 300 merit seats and 45 supernumerary seats. The other specialisations include-

The practical takeaway: applying to BIMTECH is the easy half — one online form, a small fee, and no score needed at the time you submit. The hard half is the score itself. Which entrance exam should you choose for BIMTECH Admission 2027?
BIMTECH accepts up to five exams, and you may submit more than one score. The institute picks your best score before making a final offer. However, the scholarship is CAT and XAT only. BIMTECH's Late Basant Kumar Birla Admission Merit Scholarship, worth up to INR 5 lakh, is awarded on CAT or XAT percentiles alone. A CMAT or MAT score can win you a seat. It cannot win you the scholarship. If you are within reach of an 85 percentile in CAT or XAT, writing one of those two is worth up to five lakh rupees of tuition relief.
A sensible combination for most applicants:
- CAT 2026 as the primary. It opens the widest set of schools, and it is the scholarship route. Register before mid-September 2026.
- XAT 2027 as the second. It is written in early January, so it gives you a genuine second attempt after CAT results, and it is also scholarship-eligible.
- CMAT 2027 as the floor. Lower difficulty, accepted across all four BIMTECH programmes, and useful insurance if CAT and XAT both go badly.
- GMAT if you already hold a valid score, or if you are also applying abroad or to one-year programmes. Scores from 2025 and 2026-27 are accepted.
- MAT 2026-27 only if you are specifically targeting Insurance Business Management or Retail Management.

Important Selection Rules:
- Graduates from NIRF top 100 institutes get additional weightage.
- Regional diversity weightage needs a valid domicile certificate, passport or Aadhaar proof.
- Work experience counts only in an executive or supervisory role.
- The role must run at least one year on the cut-off date.
- The employer must be a registered company with a turnover of INR 10 crore or more in FY 2025-26.
- The management may relax this rule for startup founders.
- Candidates must upload their entrance percentile once the result is out.
- BIMTECH does not publish an official cutoff percentile. Its merit scholarship starts at 85 percentile in CAT or XAT.
This means, a candidate at 78 percentile who interviews well, has an engineering degree, holds qualifying work experience and applies from outside the NCR can outscore a candidate at 90 percentile with none of those.

Documents Required for BIMTECH Admission 2027
All certificates are sent to the issuing authorities for verification, and any admission secured through fake or manipulated documents is cancelled immediately with no refund of any kind. Additionally, the category documents are to be submitted at the time of the first fee instalment, not later.

Withdrawal and refund. Following AICTE guidelines, if a candidate withdraws before the program begins and a waitlisted candidate fills the seat, the entire fee is refunded with a deduction of INR 1,000.
If a candidate leave after the course has commenced and the seat is not filled, only the refundable component is returned. The application fee is never refunded.
BIMTECH Online PGDM Admission 2027
This is the only BIMTECH course that requires no entrance exam. Online PGDM at BIMTECH is offered through the Centre for Online Studies and built for working professionals. Admission runs on a rolling basis through the online admission portal.

BIMTECH FPM and EFPM Admission 2027
The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is BIMTECH's doctoral program. It is recognised as equivalent to a PhD. It is designed for people who want to become faculty or research-driven professionals, not for a general career upgrade.
The Executive FPM course is same as the FPM, but is built for people who will keep working through it. Classes are delivered module-wise, and the coursework is designed to build on existing professional experience rather than replace it.

Ans. BIMTECH allocates 5 percent each for gender and regional diversity to build a mixed cohort. Therefore, yes female candidates and candidates from outside UP get extra weightage during the selection process. However, the regional weightage requires valid residence proof to be submitted.
Ques. Where are the interview held for PGDM admissions at BIMTECH?
