What keeps you connected with the education sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?

I have been with this institute for almost 14 years, currently serving as the academic head. What keeps me connected to education is the realisation that it is a platform where we can learn every day. The influx of new students each year serves as motivation, encouraging us to learn something new every day, which is truly inspiring.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

As an educationist, I believe leadership is a means to shape society. It is our responsibility to guide students not only in their academic curriculum but also to instill a sense of what is beneficial for society. Empowering them with knowledge of new technologies and a progressive way of life contributes to the betterment of society.

What extracurricular activities are organized in your college for students?

There are numerous extracurricular activities offered along with the university curriculum. We organise annual techfest, technology meets, conferences, seminars, and workshops. Additionally, we engage in sports and cultural activities and facilitate industrial visits. Recently, our students visited ISRO in Ahmedabad, one branch visited the metro rail factory, and another team went to Mohali for Semiconductors Lab. Introducing a new concept, every Friday is dedicated to extracurricular activities, especially for first and second-year students. Activities include 'Fantastic Friday' with engaging activities, 'Futuristic Friday' featuring workshops and seminars, and 'Filmy Friday,' where motivational movies are showcased. These initiatives contribute to a well-rounded educational experience.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

As the academic head, I am responsible for overseeing the overall academic performance of the institution. I currently oversee all the heads of the departments. My primary responsibilities include ensuring students attend college regularly, monitoring their academic performance, ensuring timely completion of courses, and overseeing the regular conduct of practical labs.

What do you think is the greatest strength of your institute?

The greatest strength of our institute lies in our management's proactive approach. They are committed to providing all possible resources and stand by us in offering the necessary facilities. The management receives our constructive advice positively, and they fulfil all our requirements promptly.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

For the current youth, I believe they should analyse themselves before enrolling in any courses. It's advisable for students to visit the institute, meet faculty members, interact with peer students, and have conversations with them. Avoid choosing a college simply because friends or family are doing so. Instead, make informed decisions based on personal preferences and interests. Opting for a course aligned with their passion will likely result in better academic performance and personal satisfaction in the long run.
