The primary focus of my leadership as a principal would be on the students. By creating an environment where they can thrive academically, personally, and professionally. I would adopt a transformational leadership style that involves inspiring and motivating faculty, staff, and students to reach their full potential which encourages creativity, innovation, and a shared vision for the future.
Being the Principal, how do you strategize about the programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?
As the Principal of an engineering college, strategizing programs and plans for marketing and administration is essential to ensure the college’s success, growth, and positive impact on students. Here are steps I might take to develop effective strategies: Start revisiting and clarifying the college’s vision and mission. Ensure that all marketing and administrative efforts align with these guiding principles. Conduct a comprehensive SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to identify the college’s internal strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats. Engage with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and industry partners, to gather input and insights. Their perspectives are valuable in shaping the college’s direction.
The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here at your university?
India is a culturally diverse and vibrant country with a rich history. Inbound students can immerse themselves in a unique cultural experience, including traditional festivals, art, music, dance, and cuisine. Studying at a well-regarded institution can provide a high-quality education and exposure to diverse fields of study. The cost of education in India is relatively lower. I also promote faculty development through training, research opportunities, and mentoring to maintain academic excellence. I ensure high-quality teaching and learning by implementing assessment and accreditation standards.

Equity: There are disparities in access to higher education based on socioeconomic status, race, and geography. Ensuring equitable access is a critical challenge.
