Mr. Sri Ram Murthy Vuyyuru is a distinguished academician and able administrator with more than 16 years of experience. He has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as a Lecturer in the year 2008. Before assuming the position of the HOD, he was the Associate Professor at NRI Institute of Technology, Krishna District. He is pursuing his Ph.D. from Gandhi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Gunupur, and his Master's Degree from PVP Institute of Technology, Vijayawada. He has published 18 research papers in various reputed National and International journals, besides a couple of patents to his credit. In his impressive teaching and administrative career, he has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. He has endeared himself to his students and colleagues alike through his affable nature and empathetic leadership style.

Being a HOD of College, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students

Encourage the faculty to give a skilled education to the students by developing a holistic environment. The main objective is to promote department and student vision. By providing a learning platform for both faculty and students.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

Accepting students and their mistakes in the classroom, appreciating students with their positivity, and counseling the students from time to time to get a better output from the student's perspective.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach toward subjects and make it industry-oriented?

Through the application-oriented platform we are training students by using digital equipment, smart classrooms are used in this training. We encourage students to participate in as many as possible discussions on technical-oriented questionnaires.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students that help them gain the necessary skills?

By Conducting both technical and industrial readiness competitions students are gaining necessary skills. We are conducting every weekend that is on Saturday. We give topics to students for seminars and conduct quizzes.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often does it get updated to benefit the students?

By inviting alumni students to interact with running batch students. By giving challenging tasks to students, improving their confidence and level by next-level skills. We follow AICTE norms for curriculum and improve students' knowledge by updating books.

What are your views on the placements and higher education of the students from your department? How does your department prepare students for higher education?

To get everyone's placement in the final year, we are Providing Career Recruitment Training Classes regularly in the timetable, Providing Industry interaction Classes, and Giving awareness about available opportunities. 

How do you help your student cope with the competition being so high in the outside world?

Providing non-academic learning and assisting the students in maintaining a balanced studying and social life. Providing necessary skill development courses which are useful in the outside competition world.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

To expose world challenges we encourage students to participate in many competitive programs like attending fests, singing, dancing, etc. Also for physical fitness and healthy competition encourage students to participate in sports meets in and outside of the college.

When you came to the college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

When I came to college immediately I prepared for the day's activities I had to interact with my fellow faculty to reach the goal of the industrial and technical skill development of the students.

How does the curriculum of your department/ college ensure the best practice of the industry?

By conducting regular meetings with industrial experts to faculty as per AICTE norms our main vision is every student should know industrial and skill-oriented basics.

What do you see as the department’s/ college’s greatest strengths and how can it be enhanced?

We have a dedicated, skilled, qualified, energetic, and well-experienced faculty. They also have research experience. Our college has a well-established infrastructure with greenery surroundings. We have created a student-friendly atmosphere and maintained good rapport with students to solve both academics, pressure, and mental stress to succeed in the competitive world.
