Dr. T. Varun Kumar is the HOD of Mechanical Engineering at the PA College of Engineering in Pollachi. He has a ME and a Ph.D. His specialized areas include Agile Manufacturing, CAD/CAM manufacturing engineering, Finite Element Analysis, Production Engineering, and Engineering Design. How do the programs ensure that students are being prepared for the future? 

Our aim is not only to make students employable, but our focus is on developing them to become Entrepreneurs as well. We start the soft skills training, like presentations and interactions, for the students from the initial stages themselves, and in the 3rd year, we offer some technical courses to diversify their field of study. In the final year, we offer Aptitude and Listening Ability classes, Group Discussions, etc. to make students placement ready.
