KIET Group of Institutions Celebrates “Yoga for Women Empowerment”

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi – NCR, Ghaziabad, celebrated the 10th edition of international Yoga Day 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event began with the heartfelt wishes by the institute’s Dean student welfare “Dr. Satish Kumar” who expressed his views on the theme of this year international yoga day viz “Yoga for women empowerment” and also highlighted how yoga has been a catalyst in keeping the citizens of India healthy.
Yogacharya, Dr. Prabha Sengar, inspired all the participants to perform various types of Yoga postures, including Surya Namaskar, Naukasana, Dhanurasana, Kapalabhati, Anulom vilom and others. In addition to the faculty and staff members, the students of the institute were also equally motivated to participate and perform yoga under the supervision of their respective rectors and wardens.
After the event, Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel congratulated all the participants for their active participation and said, “Yoga must be an integral part of our daily activities. It not only energizes the body, but also increases the work efficiency of an individual”. He also congratulated the entire team of Dean Student Welfare for arranging and managing the entire event successfully.
The event was concluded with a Vote of Thanks, proposed by Ms. Mona Aggarwal (Sports officer), who thanked all the Deans, HoDs, Professors and other participants for being a part of the event and promoting fitness.
KIET School of Management Organized a Two-Day Faculty Development Program Focused on Enhancing Pedagogy Through Case-Based Teaching

The KIET School of Management recently hosted a two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Enriching Pedagogy via Case-Based Teaching" aimed at equipping MBA faculty members with advanced teaching methodologies. The program, held on May 22 & 24,2024 featured distinguished speakers from prominent business schools who shared their expertise and practical insights.
On the first day, Professor Mrinalini Shah from IMT Ghaziabad led the session, engaging participants with an in-depth analysis of a case study on Kellogg's. Professor Shah emphasized the importance of interactive teaching methods and how real-world business scenarios can be effectively used to enhance students' learning experiences.
The second day featured Professor and Center Head Dr. Anil Kumar Singh from FORE School of Management, Delhi. Dr. Singh conducted a hands-on session using case studies on the US Airline industry and Harley Davidson. These sessions provided faculty members with practical tools and techniques to implement case-based teaching in their curriculum, fostering a more engaging and practical learning environment for students.
The FDP was well-received by attendees, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from seasoned educators and to discuss the challenges and benefits of case-based pedagogy. KIET Organized Innohacks 3.0: A Paradigm of Innovation

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, recently organized InnoHacks 3.0, which is a 24-hour offline hackathon, orchestrated by the proficient students’ team ‘Innogeeks’. The event received over 3000 individual registrations and 6 lakh+ interactions on Devfolio on different themes ranging from Blockchain/Web3 to AIoT integration. Of these, the top 40 teams were selected to participate in the 24-hour hackathon on campus. Industry experts like Yuvraj Kachhawaha, Akhil Gupta, Nikhil Gehlot, Dr. Ravindra, and Digvijay were invited as judges, who motivated and guided the participants throughout the event. The major highlight of the event was a podcast that featured luminaries like Nishant Chahar (YouTuber, content creator, and ExSDE @Microsoft), Kshitiz Miglani (co-founder @Devsnet), and Tanya Rajhans (maestro of code from @DevRev). They shared insights and inspirations from their illustrious journeys, igniting a spark of innovation in the participants.
The teams that captured the hearts of the judges and secured the top three positions were Team Sentinels (Winner) which received a prestigious prize of 70,000 rupees, Team Gladiators (1st Runner Up) which was awarded a prize of 35,000 rupees, and Team BroCode (2nd Runner Up) that secured a prize of 20,000 rupees.
Dr. Ravindra Gaur (Scientist E technology translation and innovation division DST Govt of India), the Chief Guest and Mr. Digvijay (Branch Manager HDFC), the Guest of Honour, alongside Dr. Anil Ahlawat (Director In-charge), Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director), Dr. Adesh Kumar Pandey, HoD IT and Dr. Saurav Kumar (DGM TBI-KIET) jointly bestowed honors upon the deserving winners.
All winning teams were honored with prize money and coveted goodies, symbolizing their dedication and innovation. TBI-KIET meticulously processed 53 applications, meticulously narrowing down to the top 5, with Mercredi Private Solution Limited and Carbon Solution Private Limited emerging victorious.
InnoHacks 3.0 stood as a testament to the power of innovation and collaboration, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence among the brightest minds in the country.

The CSE Department and E-Cell of KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, recently organized Sprint Hacks and Endeavor'24 respectively.
The inaugural ceremony of the program began with lamp lighting in the presence of Lieutenant General AB Shivane (Chief Guest), Mr. Sagar Sinha, Corporate Trainer (Guest of Honour), Dr. Anil Ahlawat (Director-in-charge), Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director), and Dr. Shailesh Tiwari (Additional Director).
Dr. KLA Khan (Dean – Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council) said that Endeavor’24 promotes entrepreneurship and innovation by organizing exciting competitions and insightful discussions on entrepreneurships. On the other hand, Dr. Vineet Sharma (Head-CSE Department) informed that SprintHacks 2.0 is a 24-hour offline hackathon with endless creativity organized by 'Google Developer Student Club' and teams from all over the country have participated in this event.
Lieutenant General AB Shivane said “In order to advance and protect the country, it is not necessary for us to be officers, wearing uniform. As teachers, as businessmen, or by doing any business, we can take our country forward and make it capable. Therefore, students who are inclined towards entrepreneurship should work hard and move ahead, thinking of the progress of the country.”
Shri Sagar Sinha also expressed his views and said, “One should never give up on the problems faced in life. A successful businessman is the one who can withstand defeat and can rebuild himself with time.”
Dr. Manoj Goel congratulated Team E-Cell and Team 'Google Developer Student Club' for successfully organizing this event and expressed hope that the best teams win.
The second day of the event started with an exciting Treasure Hunt in which more than 89 teams participated. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the e-Sports Finals began with amazing activities like Market Watch, B-Quiz 2nd Round, and IPL Mania. Amidst the festivities, the second round of the Movie-a-thon was conducted, which was judged by Mr. Praveen Kumar, CEO of Razer Infotech and Travcom.
Also, Sprint Hacks 2.0 was organized on time, which took place in the presence of Mr. Suchit Dudeja, Mrs. Bhavna Chauhan, Mrs. Soumya Awasthi, Mrs. Unnati Chhabra, and Mr. Vishwa Mohan.
Underscoring the program's commitment to mentorship and innovation, the creator panel consisted of Samakshi Jha (Instagram sensation), Nikita Jindal (experienced CA and digital creator), Janhvi Singh (content creator and podcaster), and Aniket Dhiman (former founder of Exponent) was also organized.

KIET Felicitates 100+ Alumni and 10+ Educationists in Alumni Meet, Mumbai

The Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) and Alumni Association of KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad (KAA) collaboratively organized Alumni Meet in Radisson Hotel, Mumbai. The meet had a huge participation of more than 100 alumni along with their spouses and children. In addition, 10+ principals and education leaders from different institutions and organizations were invited and felicitated during the event for their tireless contribution in the field of academics.
The event began with the welcome of alumni and guests by Mr. Kumar Gaurav (Vice President -KAA) and Mr. Shivam Shukla (President – KAA). Dr. Binkey Srivastava (Head – AEC) invited Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director- KIET Group of Institutions). She described the process of AEC and KAA's formation and encouraged the alumni to stay linked with their alma mater.
The Joint Director addressed the crowd and expressed his astonishment at the endeavors of KIET alumni as prominent business owners, academicians, engineers, pharmacists, and management experts. Mr. Arvind K. Sharma (Head-CRPC) briefed about the achievements of the institute, in terms of placements with the alumni. Dr. Preeti Chitkara (Head-PRIR) briefed about the accomplishments of the institute on a global level. She also urged the educationists to bridge the gap between school and college students by equipping them with technical and engineering skills from a very early age.
During the event, all the Alumni shared their memories of KIET and assured their future association with the Institute. Some Alumni took the membership of KAA and came forward to contribute to the college in the form of Internships and placement opportunities to the alumni as well as to the current students of KIET.

A one-day international event titled “Academic and Research Integrity with AI” was organized at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad recently. The event was attended by esteemed Guests James Thorley, Regional Vice President, Turnitin, APAC, United Kingdom; Purna Bose, Senior Solutions Engineer, Turnitin; Manisha Shivpuri, Manager, Turnitin; Dr. Sumit Narula, Director, Amity School of Communication; Dr. Prasoon Tripathi, Director, IMS Ghaziabad; Professor (Dr.) Munish Sabharwal, Executive Director, IILM University, Greater Noida; research faculty members of KIET, students, and other dignitaries from India and abroad. The program commenced with an address by Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET Group of Institutions.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Manoj Goel highlighted that the academic community is at a turning point with the integration of AI technologies. At the “Academic and Research Integrity with AI” event, Ms. Purna Bose, Senior Solutions Engineer at Turnitin, discussed the important role of their AI authorship detection tools in maintaining academic integrity. She explained how these tools use machine learning and natural language processing to differentiate between human and AI-generated content, focusing on pattern recognition and language depth. Ms. Bose highlighted the functionality of the AI writing prompts feature in Turnitin's similarity report, which provides an additional layer of scrutiny by showing the percentage of AI-generated content without impacting the overall similarity score. This innovative tool is part of Turnitin's broader commitment to adapting educational technologies to the evolving landscape of digital information and AI development.

KIET Group of Institutions Organized a Book Exhibition for Students

On Friday, 19th April 2024, the Knowledge Resource Centre at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized a Book Exhibition for all the students and faculty members of the institute. This exhibition was organized to provide a platform to assist the faculty, staff, research scholars and students to explore books of their interest.
Nearly 20 publishers, including Pearson Education, PHI Learning, Wiley India, McGraw Hill Education, BPB, S.Chand and Company, CBS, PK Education, and Made Easy Education displayed a wide variety of books in the field of Management, Pharmacy, Computers, Human Anatomy, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Emerging Technologies, and Competitive exam books (like GATE, PSUs, CAT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, UPSC, SSC, ESE etc.). Apart from these, the exhibition displayed variety of Motivational books, and Novels from great authors across the nation.
The exhibition began with the ribbon cutting ceremony by Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Director in-charge, in the presence of Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr. Shailesh Tiwari, Additional Director, along with all the deans and HoDs of the institute.
Dr. Manoj Goel, visited all the stalls in the exhibition to check the variety of books offered by different publishers. He congratulated Dr. Abhinav Juneja, Professor Incharge Library, Ms. Reeta Singhal, Officiating Library Incharge and the entire team of Knowledge Resource Centre for successfully organizing the book exhibition on campus.

KIET’s Annual Inter-Institutional Cultural Fest Concludes with Jubin’s Soulful Concert Night

The most talked about Annual Inter-Institutional Cultural Fest at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad came to an end on Saturday, 13th April 2024, with the soulful and musical night by Jubin Nautiyal. This fest, known as EPOQUE@Prastuti was a 3-day cultural program, wherein 150 country-wide inter-institute teams registered for different events, namely Group Dance, Beat Boxing, Open Mic, Rap Battle, Fashion Show, Skit/Mime, Nukkad Natak and Band War on 12th & 13th April.
Some of the institutes that participated in this fest included the teams from IIT Roorkee, IIIT Allahabad, Sharda University, Amity University, Galgotia University, Greater Noida, AAFT (Noida), Gargi College (DU), Ramjas College (DU), RKGIT, ABES, NIT Jalandhar and so on. Nearly 1200 students from different colleges along with 7000+ college students participated in this fest.
This year’s fest was a treat for the institute as the jury for different events were celebrity guests, who came all the way from Jammu, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and different other regions across the nations. The institute welcomed Mr. Rajat Saproo as the jury for beatboxing, who is a popular artist by the name Propulxion. Rubaru Mr. India Universal 2022, Mr. Kramik Yadav along with other big names in the fashion industry, viz. Ms. Siddhi Johri, Ms. Preety Khanna, and Ms. Ranjeeta Ashesh were the celebrity judges in fashion show event. Mr. Neeraj Badhwar, popular script writer & author was invited as the jury for open mic event.
The first day began with intra-institutional events and concluded with a vibrant DJ Night featuring DJ Ojo, DJ Enzey, and DJ Reconnect. The inter-institutional events began from the second day, which was completely dedicated to literary arts, culture and tradition of India. Reputed and renowned Kavi joined the institute for a Kavi Sammelan, followed by Garba Night featuring Preety Bhalla, popular for her Manipuri song in the film ''Mary Kom''.
Right from Bollywood songs to mix tapes and his recently released Ram Bhajan, Jubin set the stage on fire as he began with his live concert at the institute on the last day of the fest. All the students, faculty members, and winners of different events were mesmerized with the soulful melodies of the Indian singer.
Overall, the fest sailed off smoothly, giving lots of memories to everyone present there. Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director of the institute took a moment to thank the organizing team for successfully manging such a huge event. On Thursday, 11th April 2024, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, inaugurated its Annual inter-institutional cultural fest, EPOQUE at Prastuti’24. The fest is scheduled to take place from 11th April to 13th April, filled with various exciting intra and inter-institute events, including Group Dance, Band War, Open Mic, Rap Battle, Nukkad Natak, Skit/Mime, Fashion Show, and Beat Boxing.
Nearly 150 teams from IIT Roorkee, IIIT Allahabad, Gargi College (DU), Sharda University, NIT Jalandhar, Amity University, Galgotia University, AAFT (Noida), Ramjas College (DU), RKGIT, ABES, and other institutes have registered for inter-institute events on 12th & 13th April.

During her address, the Chief Guest, Ms. Nalini Asthana inspired the GenZ students to find pleasure in whatever they do, as pleasure in Karm is the ultimate route to Moksha. She said, our Indian culture and tradition is very beautiful and diverse. However, students today tend to be influenced by the western culture, which does not belong to us. As Indians, we should feel proud of our roots and traditions and inspire our fellow mates as well. Delighted by the huge auditorium and disciplined students, she added “One day, I would love to perform in this auditorium”. Coming from a Padmashri Awardee, this was indeed a proud moment for the institute.
Dr. Chandana Raul highlighted the importance of staying connected with 3Ms in life, namely Maa, Mati, and Matrabhasha.
Dr. Manoj Goel thanked the entire team of student coordinators along with the team of Dean Student Welfare and PR & International Relations Department for their tireless support in managing and coordinating all the activities.
The main highlight of the inaugural was the cultural bonanza section, wherein the students gave a mesmerizing tribute to the Indian culture through various folk dance and cultural performances. A team of students organized a fashion show that represents students in costumes of different states across the nation. KIET All Set for NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2024

On 6th April 2024, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, unveiled the prestigious international participation of its SAE-Team Interstellars. The excitement was palpable as Team Interstellars gears up to represent their institution at the prestigious NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2024. The flag-off ceremony, held on Saturday, marks the beginning of their journey to Huntsville, Alabama, USA, where the challenge will take place from April 18th to April 20th, 2024.
The flag-off ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr. Ashish Karnwal, HoD, Mechanical Engineering Department, and Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, HoD, Electrical Engineering Department. Their presence served as a source of encouragement and motivation for the team as they embarked on this challenging yet rewarding endeavor.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Manoj Goel expressed his confidence in Team Interstellars, highlighting their dedication and commitment to excellence. "Participation in the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge is not only a testament to the team's technical expertise but also a reflection of their collaborative spirit and ingenuity," he remarked.
HoD ME, Dr. Ashish Karnwal commended the team for their tireless efforts in designing and building a rover that embodies innovation and efficiency. He said "The Interstellars have exemplified the values of our institution through their hard work and determination. I do not doubt that they will make us proud on the international stage."
Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, HoD Electrical and Electronics, also emphasized the importance of such competitions in fostering creativity and problem-solving skills among students.

KIET Officially Unveils Its First-Ever Humanoid Robot: Anushka

On Friday 22nd March 2024, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad officially launched its humanoid robot “ANUSHKA” in a national press conference. This humanoid robot is designed by the Centre of Robotics & Mechatronics, running under the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The conference began by welcoming the media on-board by Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET Group of Institutions. He addressed the media by saying, “It is my pleasure to welcome you all on this auspicious occasion, where we are finally launching our first-ever student-made humanoid robot, Anushka. We started creating this robot on 23rd Nov, 2022, under the guidance of Dr. Shubham Shukla, Associate Professor, ECE and Mr. Atul Kumar, Lab Assistant, ECE department. I would like to appreciate our 4th year student from CS branch, Piyush Khanna and his team (Team 31) that worked tirelessly day and night, to create this engineering marvel.
Dr. Shubham Shukla, the project guide of Anushka, continued with the discussion and told media that “Anushka stands for Artificially Networked Unit for Smart Human Knowledge Assistance that is designed to revolutionize human-robot interaction. Notably, ANUSHKA is not only the first humanoid robot with a beating heart in North India, but also the first in India with a comprehensive autonomous movement mechanism. Furthermore, she stands out as the world's first robot capable of supporting home automation and autonomous calling using the Internet of Things (IoT). Her ability to perform over 50 hand gestures, 30 eye gestures, along with jaw and neck movements, showcases the intricate level of detail and sophistication involved in her creation. This level of innovation highlights ANUSHKA's role in revolutionizing human-robot interaction, setting a new benchmark for robotic capabilities.”
On this momentous occasion, the entire team behind the creation of ANUSHKA, including the visionary students and faculty, were present to witness the historic unveiling. KIET Organized One-Day Youth-To-Youth Quality Connect Program in Collaboration with Bureau of Indian Standards

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, in collaboration with Bureau of Indian Standards, Ghaziabad branch, organized a one-day Youth-to-Youth Quality Connect, Standards Writing Competition and Orientation program, wherein 50 students from different branches registered and participated in the program.
The program began by lighting the lamp by Mr. Vishvendra Tanwar, Standard Promotion Consultant, BIS, Dr. Ashish Karnawal (HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department) and Mr. Neeraj Kumar (Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering).
Mr. Vishvendra Tanwar, along with Resource Persons, Mr. Priyanshu Arya and Mr. Suraj, briefed about BIS activities like standardization, ISI mark, CRS mark, laboratory work, hallmarking, training programs and BIS Care application. Necessary guidelines were provided to successfully conduct the Youth-to-Youth program and a pictorial demonstration was also given.
On this occasion, all the deans HoDs, and professors from mechanical engineering department were present. Students showed great interest in the program and the program was successful.
Classical Singing Recital by Bhuvanesh Komkali Organised by SPIC MACAY Heritage Club KIET

The SPIC MACAY Heritage Club at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized a Classical Singing event in collaboration with SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth). The event aimed to ignite a passion for India's rich cultural heritage among the youth and foster a deeper appreciation for classical music.
Under the guidance of Dr. Neha Bhadauria, the Coordinator of the SPIC MACAY Heritage Club, the event witnessed the illustrious presence of Bhuvanesh Komkali, a renowned Classical Vocalist and an empanelled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Komkali's ethereal performance transported the audience to realms of transcendent beauty, showcasing the timeless allure of Indian classical music.
Accompanied by seasoned musicians, Shambhunath Bhattacharjee on tabla, Chetan Nigam on harmonium, and Prashant and Anand on tanpura, along with his student Khitiz and Bhuvanesh, Komkali's rendition left the audience spellbound. His soulful melodies resonated with profound emotions, captivating the hearts and minds of all present.
The event was attended by B.Tech, MCA, MBA and B.Pharm students. Dr. Satish Kumar, Dean Student welfare, Dr. Pratibha Kumari, Associate Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Bhoopendra, Chief Proctor, along with all the HoDs and faculty members of KIET also graced the occasion, further enriching the vibrant atmosphere with their presence.

KIET Inaugurates Centre of Supercomputing Equipped with NVIDIA DGX A100

On Saturday, 16th March 2024, KIET Group of institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized the inaugural ceremony of “Centre of Supercomputing” that shall have world’s first 5 petaFLOPS AI Supercomputer: NVIDIA DGX A100. This cutting-edge technology behind the SUPERCOMPUTER, NVIDIA's DGX A100 marks a milestone in the institute’s commitment to advancing research and innovation across a wide range of disciplines. This Centre of Supercomputing is supported by ‘Start In UP’ start-up policy, that is an initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The event began with the ribbon cutting ceremony followed by lamp lighting by Chief Guest, Shri Sunil Kumar Sharmaji, Cabinet Minister, Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Special Guest, Shri Sanjeev Sharma Ji, Mahanagar Adhyaksh – BJP, and Shri Keshav Tyagi Ji, in the august presence of Shri Atul Garg Ji (Chairman-Governing Board, KIET), Shri Sarish Agarwal Ji (Chairman- Krishna Charitable Society), Shri Sunil P. Gupta Ji (General Secretary), Shri GD Jain Ji, Shri Adi Narayan Gupta Ji, Shri Neeraj Chaudhary Ji, and Shri Rakesh Goel Ji along with Director in-charge (Dr. Anil Ahlawat), Joint Director (Dr. Manoj Goel), and Additional Director (Dr. Shailesh Tiwari).
While briefing about the newly launched Centre of Supercomputing at campus, Dr. Rekha Kashyap, HoD CSE AI & CSE AIML told that “The NVIDIA DGX A100 is the world’s first 5 petaFLOPS AI system, designed to unify training, inference, and analytics into a single, easy-to-deploy AI infrastructure. The addition of the DGX A100 systems to the Centre of Supercomputing represents a leap forward in our institute's research capabilities. With unparalleled computational efficiency and versatility, the DGX A100 will accelerate research in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, climate science, genomics, and more.”
Shri Sunil Kumar Sharmaji said, “I congratulate the institute for introducing this centre of supercomputing as it will shape the future of our nation. I believe when the students will begin working on supercomputers, they will be able to create new products and ideas that can multiply economic growth and promote innovation and entrepreneurship.”
Shri Atul Garg Ji, Hon’ble MLA Ghaziabad, said, “Through NVIDIA DGX A100 supercomputer, we want to provide new opportunities to our children to progress in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The purpose of this partnership is to foster cooperation, enhance academic and professional development, and contribute to the growth and advancement of the pharmaceutical sector.
The event began by welcoming all the guests and dignitaries by Dr. K. Nagarajan, Principal -KIET School of Pharmacy, followed by Saraswati Maa Vandana and Lamp Lighting.

Center of Excellence for Electric Vehicle inaugurated at KIET Group of Institutions

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized a one-day seminar on e-Mobility and inaugurated a Center of Excellence for e-Mobility in collaboration with International Federation of Electric Vehicles. Meritorious students from the EEE department were honored with certificates for their excellent performance. 50+ electric vehicle manufacturers, 10+ EV charger manufacturers and 15 EV battery manufacturers participated in the event. More than 100 students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering benefited by attending this program.

Guest of Honor Mr. Pankaj Doval, National Editor Times of India Group was also present at the event and mentioned the importance of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in today's technology. The Center of Excellence on e-Mobility was also inaugurated by the honored guests, wherein the students demonstrated their self-made electric scooter and also showed the process of installing the automatic stand on it and taking off the scooter from it. Sensor and IoT based process of sending accident information to pre-determined mobile numbers in Scooty was demonstrated. Some students also showcased their research in the field of drones.
The college honored all the guests by giving mementos. The International Federation of Electric Vehicles, together with KIET, resolved to contribute to India's progress through innovative research in the field of e-mobility to ensure its participation in building an innovative India.
KIET Signs an Mou with Mitsubishi Electric India

On 22nd February 2024, the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad signed an MoU with Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd and inaugurated a new Center of Excellence (CoE) focusing on Power Semiconductor Devices that is supported by Mitsubishi.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed guests from Mitsubishi India, viz. Mr. Hitesh Bhardwaj (General Manager), Mr. Pradeep Bisht (Assistant General Manager), Mr. Sandeep Kumar (Deputy Manager), Ms. Trupti Verma (Deputy Manager), Mr. Saurabh Badbadwal (Engineer), and Ms. Stuti Gulati (Executive).
The ceremony began with the welcome of guests with an oxy plant by the institute’s dignitaries, namely Dr. Anil Ahlawat (Director-in-charge), Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director), Dr. Shailesh Tiwari (Additional Director), Dr. Vibhav Kumar Sachan (Dean R&D and Head of ECE), and Dr. KLA Khan (Dean IEC).
On this occasion, Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Director-in-charge, gave a brief introduction about the institute to the industry leaders from Mitsubishi. Further, in conversation with Mitsubishi’s General Manager, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, said, “our association with Mitsubishi will be based on working on real problem statements so as to bridge the gap between industry and academia.” He articulated a visionary perspective on education, arguing that its purpose extends beyond merely securing employment.
The MOU is expected to enable the students and faculty to engage in industry-relevant projects, develop new technologies, and collaborate with leading industry partners like Mitsubishi. It promises a pivotal turn in their career development, equipping them to make substantial contributions to the industry with greater potential and efficiency.
Moreover, the CoE will host a series of workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to keep the KIET community abreast of the latest industry trends and challenges. This endeavor might open new opportunities by addressing industry challenges head-on. This synergy between academia and industry is set to make the curriculum more industry-oriented and contemporary.

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad inaugurated its annual three-day inter-collegiate sports fest RANN’24 on February 16th, 2024. Around 1500 students from various colleges and universities participated in 16 sports and games that included Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis, Karate, Billiards, Shooting, Table Tennis, Volley Ball, Basketball, Badminton, Athletics, Chess, Carrom, E-Sports, Football, Cricket, and Yoga.
The management members, Shri Atul Garg Ji, Shri Sarish Aggarwal Ji, Shri Sunil P Gupta Ji along with the Director In charge Dr. Anil Kumar Ahlawat, Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel and Additional Director, Dr. Shailesh Tiwari welcomed all the participants and wished them luck for the three-day sports-fest.
The event was graced by the presence of renowned sports stars of the country, Shri Singhraj Adhana (Olympian / Arjuna Awardee in Shooting), Shri Ashok Diwan (Dhyan Chand Awardee in Hockey), Ms. Manisha Chahar (All India Gold Medalist Boxing /Arm wrestling), Ms. Jyoti Nagar (NSNIS Coach- Boxing). Shri Singhraj Adhana shared some of his childhood stories that inspired him to become successful in his life. He said, “Since childhood, I wanted to join the army. However, as I was diagnosed with polio, I couldn’t do so. But, my zeal to serve my country led me towards shooting and at the age of 35, I got awarded for the sport.”

KIET Group of Institutions Organizes the Hackers Meetup

On February 2, 2024, the department of Computer Science and Information Technology at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organised The Hackers Meetup, KIET Chapter which was a resounding success. It had a total audience of around 80 attendees briming with curiosity and questions about cybersecurity.
Mr. Sahil Sharma (Chapter Lead for OWASP) and Mr. Soumak Roy (VP and Practice Head at SDG Corporation) were invited as the keynote speakers. They shared information regarding the roadmap to having a successful career in the field of cybersecurity and also spoke about dark web and its intricacies.
Prominent industry mentors, such as Mr. Amit S, Mr. Sanchay Singh, Mr. Pankaj Yadav, Ms. Kashish Huma Hashim, Mr. Pritam Malik, and Mr. Abhishrey Gupta were also present at the event and inspired the participants.
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, shared how important cybersecurity experts are as development of code requires less hardwork as compared to breaking it and finding vulnerabilities.

Connecting Bharat to Japan: KIET Alliances with Patanjali Japan Foundation

On 30th January, 2024, the Department of PR & International Relations at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized a session on ‘Work Opportunities in Japan, in collaboration with Patanjali Japan Foundation. Mr. Ashutosh Singh (Founder and Representative Director, Patanjali Japan Foundation), Ms. Yumi Ishida (Director, Sales & Marketing Leader, Patanjali Japan Foundation), Mr. Yasuhiro Matsuo (CEO, WeNeed Inc.), Deepika Singh (Managing Director, eSpot Web Solutions), and Samepal Singh (Director International Relations, One World Alliance, Japan) were invited as the guest speakers to spread awareness about Japan and their special project, i.e. Agniveer Japan Project. As per Mr. Ashutosh, who is also the alumni of the institute (Batch 2006), ‘Agniveer’ aims Bharatiyans to connect with Japan by providing work force to them. Nearly 650+ students across all streams participated in the session.
The session began by welcoming the guests with an oxy plant, in the presence of all Deans and HoDs along with Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Head PR & International Relations. This was followed by the address of Dr. Chitkara, who explained about the emerging need and importance of learning foreign languages in today’s cut-throat competition world. She said, “we live in a social world today and easiest way to gel-in with the current trend is to connect with new people and create new memories. What can be better than learning a second or third language. Be it personal or professional, language gives you an edge to break the barrier and connect with ‘n’ number of like-minded people beyond cultural boundaries. If you combine your B.Tech, B.Pharma or any other degree for that matter with language expertise, you can do wonders in your life.” “Since the last 6 years, our department is offering language training in German and Japanese Language and soon will be offering the same in other languages too”, she added further.
Mr. Ashutosh Singh (Chief Sewa Officer, Patanjali Japan Foundation) began his session by sharing his experience of getting lucrative job opportunities in Japan with just a B.Tech degree and two levels of Japanese language proficiency. He said, “Japanese language is very easy for Bharatiyans to learn, as the Grammer part of both Hindi and Japanese is the same.” Further, he briefed about ‘Agniveer’ that is his dream project to serve the society by increasing employment opportunities for Bharatiyans in Japan. He briefed, “we yearn to bridge the gap between a candidate in Bharat and an employer in Japan. We also provide training to the candidates to help them grasp better job prospects in Japan or in Japanese companies based in Bharat.”
Furthermore, the delegates had a one-on-one meeting with Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr. Shailesh Tiwari, Additional Director, Deans, HoDs, and Head PR & International Relations, where they discussed about potential ways to help the students in the professional journey in Japan and build a mutually beneficial partnership between the organizations. Consequently, KIET Group of Institutions and Patanjali Japan Foundation signed a ‘Letter of Intent’ with each other.
Dr. Manoj Goel said, “I am happy to see our alumni delivering such an enlightening session on the work culture, work opportunities, language, and mannerism of Japan. Our students will definitely be motivated and find the right career path in their life, through your guidance.” This was followed by national anthem and a group photograph.
Overall, the session went off smoothly, with the unwavering efforts of all the faculty and student coordinators involved. National Voter's Day Organized at KIET

On Thursday, 25 January 2024, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized various programs on the occasion of National Voters' Day. Under the patronage and direction of District Magistrate Ghaziabad, students of National Service Scheme organized 'Voting Awareness Rally' from KIET to Muradnagar. A large number of students participated in this rally and inspired the citizens to vote.
Director in-charge of the institute, Dr. Anil Ahlawat made the students aware about voting and administered the oath. A quiz competition was also organized among the students of the institute on the topic 'There is nothing like voting’, we will definitely vote.

MANIFEST-2024 @ KIET: An Amalgamation of Knowledge and Creativity

KIET School of Management at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, recently organized MANIFEST-2024 that is a vibrant festival of knowledge and creativity. The purpose of this fest was to spread knowledge regarding entrepreneurship and imbibe the spirit of team work among the students. Over 200 teams from 50 institutes participated in the fest along with 1000+ students from KIET.
Several games and activities like Just-a-Minute, Management Shayari, Hunt for Success, Case Elucidation, Corporate Roadies, Monopoly, Business Plan, Biz Trivia Triumph etc. were the major highlight of the fest. Cash prizes worth Rs. 1 lakh were distributed.
Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Director in-charge and Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director motivated the students for upgrading their skills according to the market’s demand. Mr. Naveen Kumar, Associate Vice-President (Marketing), Paytm, was invited as the Guest of Honor of the event. He discussed about the importance of entrepreneurship and zeal of innovation with the students.

KIET Promotes “Skill Will Lead” To Bridge the Gap Between Industry and Academia

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad hosted the event of CII-Promoting skills through Inter College Engagement with a theme of “Skill Will Lead”- A CSR Initiaive of Emirates Technologies Pvt Ltd. on 8th January 2024, in collaboration with KIET School of Management. The prime motive of the event was to bridge the gap between industry and academia for management students. A total of 300 students belonging to MBA, PGDM, PGDBM attended the programme.
Shri Mahesh Munjal, MD, Majestic Auto Pvt. Ltd., Convenor Skill and industry academia addressed the audience about the importance of skill enhancement in competing with the global markets. He said that “Skills and knowledge development are the driving forces behind the financial growth and community development of any country. Skill building is a powerful tool to empower individuals and improve their social acceptance. It must be complemented by economic growth and employment opportunities to meet the rising aspirations of youth.”
In this programme management students from IILM University, Sharda University, Amity University, Jaipuria School of Business, Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management and KIET Group of Institution had participated and presented on the topics i.e., Digital Transformation, PLI Scheme of GOI, Lesson to be learnt from your competitors etc.

KIET Organized “Mega Health Camp” in Collaboration with Fortis Hospital

KIET School of Pharmacy at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, organized a “Mega Health Camp” in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Greater Noida. The objective of the health camp was to promote health care, raise awareness of various diseases, early screening and detection of diseases. Around 195 faculty members and students actively participated in the health camp.
Esteemed officials and dignitaries, Director-in-charge Dr. Anil K. Ahlawat, Joint Director Dr. Manoj Goel, Addl. Director Dr. Shailesh Tiwari, Dean-Student Welfare Dr. Satish Kumar and Principal-KSOP Dr. K. Nagarajan, graced the Health Camp with their presence, supporting healthcare for all. The Organizing Committee members, Head in-charge (D.Pharm) Dr. Roma Ghai and Addl. Head in-charge(D.Pharm) Mr. Sanjeev Chauhan along with the team members, Mr. Kapil Sachan, Mr. Shubham Sharma, Ms. Konika Rao, Ms. Sheena Mehta, and Mr. Priya R. KIET Inaugurates Scopus Index Two-Day International Conference

The Department of MCA at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad inaugurated Scopus Index two-day international conference RACTE-2023 on 29th December 2023. Dr. Sushil Chandra (Dean Rishihood University Sonipat and former Scientist 'G' DRDO), Dr. Rajendra Gade (Professor, Goa University), Dr. Anil Ahlawat (Director in-charge, KIET), Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director, KIET), Dr. Shailesh Tiwari (Additional Director, KIET), Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi (Head of MCA Department, KIET), Dr. Amit Kumar Gupta (General Chair), Dr. Akash Rajak (Conference Chair) etc. were present in the inaugural ceremony of the conference.
Dr. Anil Ahlawat, while encouraging the researchers participating in the conference, said that as a result of this conference, we will get to know about innovations in various fields and new changes taking place in the industry every day. In his address, Dr. Manoj Goel said that this conference is indeed an excellent effort to understand the innovations and research of researchers from different fields. Students should enhance their research skills so that they can participate in the development of our country. Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, while thanking all the guests and researchers, said that through this conference, researchers will get importance in improving their innovations.
Chief guest of the conference, Dr. Sushil Chandra, in his online address said that the young generation should make innovation a part of their thinking, and should work on previous research as the foundation of their research. Describing about cognitive science, he said that cognitive science is the scientific study of human mind and brain. It examines how one's brain works and how it behaves.
Dr. Rajendra Gade (Professor, Goa University) sensitized the participants about Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) by explaining that BCI is a computer-based system that receives brain signals, analyzes them, and Translates them into commands that are relayed to the output device to accomplish the desired action
While presenting the conference report, Dr. Akash Rajak (Conference Chair) said that research papers will be presented in the conference by national and international representatives, out of which there is participation from almost entire India along with mainly Japan, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia countries. A total of 87 research papers were received, out of which 36 papers were selected by experts for presentation. These papers will be presented in four technical sessions, chaired by eminent academicians and researchers from various reputed organizations. The first session was chaired by Dr. Prashant P. Pitalia (Professor, Sardar Patel University), the second session was chaired by Dr. Rafat Parveen (Professor, Jamia Millia Islamia). There will be two separate sessions on the next day which will be chaired by Dr. Alok Singh Chauhan (Galgotias University, Greater Noida) and Dr. Devpriya Soni (Professor, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology).
Professor Rabi Narayan Panda (Technical Chair and Additional Head MCA CITE) thanked all the guests, researchers and conference team members and wished for the success of the conference. The conference was attended by Deans, Heads of all departments, faculty members and students of MCA Department, representatives from industry and academic institutions.

On Tuesday, 26th December 2023, the meritorious students of KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad were felicitated at the 21st Convocation Ceremony held at AKTU, Lucknow. As per the list of university rank holders released by AKTU, for the session 2022-2023, 22 students from the institute were ranked amongst the top ten at the University level. To celebrate this achievement, the institute organized a felicitation ceremony on the same day in Lucknow, for all the meritorious students, wherein their proud parents were also invited. All the gold, silver and bronze medalists received cash prizes of Rs 50,000, 40,000 and 30,000 respectively in the presence of the Institute's Director Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Joint Director Dr. Manoj Goel and Registrar Mr. Anup Srivastava.
On the occasion, Dr. Anil Ahlawat said, “I feel extremely proud when I see my students getting recognition for their hardwork and passion. Be it academics or extra-curricular activities, our students are second to none. Recently, two teams from our institute, namely, Team Debugger’s KIET and Team Atomix KIET participated in the software edition of Smart India Hackathon organized at St. Joseph's College of Engineering. Of these, Team Debugger’s KIET won first prize and a winning amount of Rs. 1,00,000, while Team Atomix KIET was amongst the top 3 teams in the Grand Finale.”
To this, Dr. Manoj Goel added, “Our college has emerged as the champion at the Smart India Hackathon, conquering 50,000+ teams and 500+ brilliant submissions. The winning team, i.e. Team Debugger’s presented an app that allows one to create mesmerizing 3D representations of the real world with a simple snapshot. On the other hand, Team Atomix presented their project, titled ‘Smart and Effective Real-time Management of Street Parking,’ that addressed critical urban challenges under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. This is a big achievement and therefore, I believe that our students have the power to excel in different spectrums of life.”
The ceremony came to an end by paying regards to the parents/guardians along with the students for being a part of the felicitation ceremony.
KIET Gets Nostalgic: Annual Alumni Meet ‘Reminiscence 2023’

On Saturday, 23rd December 2023, the Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) and Alumni Association (KAA) of KIET Group of Institutions, jointly organized Reminiscence 2023 in the campus premises. The meet was organized to reconnect with alumni and keep them up to date on recent changes at the college.
The program started by welcoming all the alumni along with Dr. Anil K. Ahlawat (Director In-Charge - KIET Group of Institutions), and Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director - KIET Group of Institutions). Dr. Binkey Srivastava, Head AEC, described the process of AEC and KAA's formation and encouraged the alumni to always keep linked with their alma mater. During the event, the alumni shared about their journeys to motivate students about their career achievements.
Dr. Anil K. Ahlawat discussed all the accomplishments made by the institute over the past few decades. Dr. Manoj Goyal addressed the crowd and expressed his astonishment at the endeavours of KIET alumni as prominent business owners, academicians, pharmacists, and software and management experts. He also advised all the Alumni to join KAA, i.e. KIET Alumni Association.
Around 300 alumni along with their spouses and children participated in the event. Mr. Shivam Shukla, President KIET Alumni Association (KAA), and Mr. Kumar Gaurav-Vice President of KIET Alumni Association (KAA) addressed strategies to help alumni from all batches keep in touch with the alumni community. In addition, distinguished alumni awards were distributed at the event to the notable alumni. The event was a great success and got concluded with a group photograph and felicitation of alumni with mementos.
KIET Celebrates National Mathematics Day

To commemorate the birth anniversary of the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, the Department of B. Tech First Year and Applied Sciences at KIET Group of Institutions, celebrated National Mathematics Day on 22nd December 2023. The event was organized in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) to raise awareness amongst students and faculty members about the significance of Mathematics in the betterment of civilization. Director- in- Charge Dr. Anil Ahalawat, Joint Director Dr. Manoj Goel, Additional Director Dr. Shailesh Tiwari, Dean B. Tech First Year and Applied Sciences Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwary and Associate Dean B. Tech First Year and Applied Sciences and Chairman of ISTE, local chapter, Dr. C. M. Batra graced this programme.
Dr. Anil Ahalawat and Dr. Manoj Goel motivated School and College students to learn and inculcate the knowledge, gained by our gurus and bring them to practice with innovative ideas, skills with the help of applied Mathematics. Adding further about the relevance of Mathematics in real life, Dr Shailendra Kumar Tiwary explained elementary and middle school mathematics can help in resolving various problems of Academics, Banking, Management, and Sports.
More than 250 students and 35 faculty members of KIET Group of Institutions are a part of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Around 100 school students from 9th to 12th standard participated in this event by showing innovation and application of Mathematics through Projects/Models/Poster. Judges evaluated the Projects/Models/Posters. The winners and 1st runner ups for Poster Presentation were from Shri Thakurdwara Balika Vidyalaya School (Ghaziabad). J.K.G Happy School (Ghaziabad) and Shikha School (Modinagar) were 2nd runner ups for Poster Presentation. For Project and Model presentation 1st Prize was won by KIET Group of Institutions (Ghaziabad) and Shri Thakurdwara Balika Vidyalaya School (Ghaziabad). 2nd prize for the same was won by Arawchin International School (Delhi) and Ordinance Factory (Muradnagar). Mother India Public School (Ghaziabad), Kendriya Vidyalaya (Muradnagar) and Dr K. N. Modi Global School (Modinagar) won 3rd price in the same category. All students were given the certificate of participation.
In addition to this, a talk was conducted on Applications of Mathematics by Dr. Archana Sharma and Dr. Neelam Chantola to make the students understand the utility and solution of various aspects of day-to-day life through Mathematics. Overall, the event went off smoothly and was well-coordinated and managed by the members of ISTE Faculty and Student Chapter.
KIET Organizes 2-day International Conference on Advances in AI

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at KIET Group of Institutions proudly announced the 5th International Conference on Advances in AI for Biomedical Instrumentation, Electronics, and Computing (ICABEC-2023) on the 22nd and 23rd of December 2023. This prestigious event was not only indexed in Scopus and approved by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group) but also received robust support from notable sponsors such as the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, IFFCO New Delhi, MathWorks, Pine Training Academy, and ACE Academy.
The conference marked a significant milestone in academia and research by accepting 109 papers from more than 300 global submissions. Among these, a notable three papers originated from the United States, underscoring the event's international reach. Furthermore, an impressive 106 papers were from India, spanning 11 diverse states including Andhra Pradesh, New Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, reflecting the nation's extensive intellectual contribution to the field.
The event was graced with the presence of luminaries from various esteemed institutions, adding to its prestige. In this mega event, Dr. Karoon Agrawal (MBBS, MS, MCh, Director, National Heart Institute, New Delhi) & Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Tomar (G. B. Pant Agriculture & Technological University, Uttarakhand) was the Guest of Honor, and Prof. J. P. Pandey (Vice Chancellor, AKTU, Lucknow) was the Chief Guest. Virtual Global Conclave Organized at KIET Group of Institutions

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, successfully conducted a one-day Virtual Global Conclave on the theme Traversing the VUCA Landscape with Soft Skills on Friday, the 15th of December 2K23. The conclave, organized by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (Training Wing), brought together industry leaders, experts, and professionals from various sectors from India and abroad. The keynote speakers were Mr. Harendar Chadha (Canada), Mr. Vibhore Garg (Singapore), Mr. Shorya Moona (Dubai), Mr. Rishu Jayswal (India) and Mr. Ikshwaku Goel (India).
This Conclave proved itself to be a groundbreaking event aimed at fostering the growth of essential soft skills in the future workforce.
The Joint Director of the institute Dr. Manoj Goel said that the institute has a full-fledged department for the employability training of the students and the institute strives for the overall development of the students.
The Additional Director, Dr. Shailesh Tiwari emphasized on the need of such events to provide global exposure to the students.

KIET Organizes MANTHAN 2.0, The Inter-School Quiz Competition

On 11th and 12th December 2023, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized the highly awaited second chapter of its flagship programme, MANTHAN 2.0 that is an inter-school quiz competition. The event attracted nearly 1200 online registrations from a wide range of nation-wide senior secondary schools in Rajasthan, Bangalore, Punjab, Assam, West Bengal and other states.
The day 1 began with the registration of more than 250 participants who qualified for the offline quarterfinal and semi-final rounds on campus. Oak grove school Mussoorie, Goyenka Public School, Jhansi, DAV Calderys School Katni, DPS Hisar, Presidium Raj Nagar, G.M.S.S Sarai Khwaza, Chitra Group of Institutions, Kanpur, Aum Sun Public School Muradnagar, Surevin International School, Modinagar, K.L. International School, Meerut, Shaheed Babu Singh Public School, Mohali, Punjab, and Gayatri Public School, Agra are some of the schools that participated in the event.
The programme proceeded further with the welcome of guests by Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Head PR & International Relations and lamp lighting by Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Director In-charge, Dr. Shailesh Tiwari, Additional Director, institutional HoDs and functional heads in the presence of Mr. Vikaas Naagru, Guest Speaker, Mr. Gautam Bose, Celebrity Quiz Master, and all the principals and school teachers.
During the event, Dr. Anil Ahlawat highlighted the importance of quizzing. He said, “Raja Vikramaditya was known for his justice; justice comes through wit and activities like these, help in the grooming of kids and improving their wit, intellect and wisdom.”
Mr. Naagru’s session on ‘Tune Your Brain’ was another key highlight of the event that kept everyone amazed and entertained. The mind exercises and games that he played during his session were perplexing, yet engaging.
Of all the 80+ teams, top 12 teams were selected for the semi-final rounds, while top 6 teams, i.e. 2 teams from K.L. International School, Meerut, and 1 team each from Vanasthali Public School, Heritage Academy, BBPS Noida, and Oak grove school Mussoorie competed against each other for the winner’s trophy in the Grand Finale on 12th December 2023.
Both the days, the Celebrity Quiz Master for the event, Mr. Gautam Bose started off the quiz competition in a very interactive and playful manner. Not just with the participating teams, but also with the audience, Mr. Bose interacted pretty well and awarded them with ceramic mugs, keychains, pens, and other gifts, upon giving the right answer to the question.
The team from Oak Grove School Mussoorie was declared as the winning team of MANTHAN 2.0, while Teams from K.L. International School, Meerut and Bal Bharati Public School, Noida were declared as the first runner-up and second runner-up respectively. Also, the winning team was awarded with a winner’s trophy along with a winning amount of Rs. 25,000, certificates and other goodies. Similarly, the first and second runner-up teams were awarded with an amount of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively along with certificates and other goodies.
In addition to the Grand Finale of teams from senior secondary schools, there was a separate segment of quiz specially conducted for specially-abled students from Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan and Swayam Special School. The quizzing student club of KIET conducted their quiz and team MBCN 4 from Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan won the quiz. The winning team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 5000 along with certificates and other goodies.
Not just this, students from Wisdom International School participated in a poster-making competition, wherein they made posters to cheer for their favourite team during the competition. The winning poster was awarded with exclusive gifts.
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, congratulated the winning team and all the other teams that participated in the event.
Dr. Preeti Chitakara, presented a complete report of both the days and explained how this year’s MANTHAN came out to be a bigger and grandeur than MANTHAN 2022.
Towards the end, all the school principals, teachers, sponsors, media partners, and guests were felicitated and honoured with a memento from the institute. Dr. Madhu Gautam, Assistant Head, International Relations thanked everyone including the deans, HoDs, Functional heads of the institute to be a part of the event. The event came to an end with a group photograph and national anthem.
An Effort to Save Lives: Blood Donation Camp at KIET

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Lion's Club, Ghaziabad. The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the faculty, staff, and students contributing to a cause that can save lives. In total 264 units of blood sample was collected.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for regular blood donations to support healthcare systems and emergency medical interventions.The institute’s Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel said, “We are grateful for the tremendous support received from the community. The success of this event reflects the spirit of generosity and community engagement that defines the ethos of KIET Group Institutions and Lion's Club Ghaziabad”. He also welcomed and thanked Shri Sunil P. Gupta Ji, General Secretary, KIET Group of Institutions, Dr. Anant Vir Jain, President, Lion’s Club Ghaziabad, Sh. Sheilesh Garg and Sh. Deepak Goel for being a part of the blood donation camp.

KIET Group of Institutions organizes the annual Inter- Institute Technical fest "INNOTECH 2023” on 8th December, 2023

On Friday, 8th December 2023, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, organized the tenth edition of its annual technical fest Innotech on the theme 'Sustainable Social Impact Solutions'. Nearly 1000+ teams registered for the event, which included teams from different schools and colleges nearby, viz. KIET, GL Bajaj, Galgotias, Bennett University, and Surevin International School. Students Wisdom International School were the main highlight of the event, as they came to institute as audience.
The event began with the ribbon cutting ceremony by the Chief Guest, Mr. Narendra Bhooshan, Senior IAS officer and Head of the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of honourable members of the management, viz. Shri Atul Garg ji, Shri Sunil P Gupta ji, Shri Sarish Agarwal ji, Shri G D Jain Ji, and Shri AN Gupta ji.
Along with the chief guest and members of management, Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr Shailesh Tiwari, Additional Director, and Dr Anil Ahlawat, Director in-charge, examined all the projects and posters displayed by the students. They interacted with the students and were highly impressed by their technical prowess and talent.
While examining the stalls, Mr. Narendra Bhooshan said, “I must say that Gen Z is very fearless. They have a lot of ideas, which can take our country forward, increase the productivity of every person, right from pharma to women working in the field. The yuva today, is creating this type of atmosphere and KIET is playing a pioneer role in it. I suggested KIET to not only do it in this campus, rather act as the leader of this area. We can think of creating some sort of hub where KIET guides the other institutes also.”
The event also involved an exhibition showcasing the institute’s 5 centers of excellence, 10 technical clubs, and 20 startups from TBI-KIET.
There were three categories on which the participants were to be judged, viz. ‘Innovative Education and Skill Development,’ ‘Social Equality and Inclusion,’ and ‘Environmental Sustainability.’ The judging panel included professors, industry experts and solution analysts so that the projects would face a critical evaluation in all prospects. Dr. Ashu Gautam-Research Professor at Ilana Rachna International Institute of Research, Mr. Priyank Ahuja-Product Leader at Accenture, Mr. Nishant Srivastava-Technical Manager at Infinite Computer Solutions, Mr. Gaurav Gupta-Senior Software Engineer at Apollo Healthcare, Mr. Pawan Singhla-Full Stack Developer at Zigram, Mr. Akesh Pandita-Executive Director at Mercedes Benz Silver Arrows, Ms. Gunjan Madaan-SDE at Microsoft, Mr. Anoop Nandi-Head CSR & Sustainability at Tata Power DDL and Mr. Harshit Thakral-Co-founder at Spanda 3D were present as judges during the event.
The winners of the event were felicitated by the Chief Guest Mr. Narendra Bhooshan and honourable dignitaries of KIET in the grand valedictory ceremony which took place after the presentations and evaluations. Team __ bagged the first prize for the project presentation followed by team __ as the first runner up and team __ as the second runner up. The poster presentation category had team __ as winners while team __ & team __ were 1st and 2nd runner ups respectively. The participant teams from colleges and schools were provided with a prize pool of over 1 lakh. Also, there were special awards for the participating schools to encourage their enthusiasm in the technical field.
The event was graced by the presence of various sponsors, community partners and knowledge partners like The Aryan's Cafe, Trends, Wolfram, Give My Certificate, stockEdge, Interview Buddy, elearnmarkets and xyz. The sponsors were really happy to see the enthusiasm of the students and their participation in growth of innovative solutions.
Towards the end, all the dignitaries of the institute along with the Convenor of Innotech 2023, Dr Ajay Kumar Shrivastava and Co-Convenors, Dr Harsh Khattar and Prof. Aarti Sharma congratulated the winners and wished them all the best for their future endeavours.
KIET Organizes One-Day Workshop in Collaboration with AICTE and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas

On Thursday, 9th November 2023, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad hosted a pivotal National workshop titled "Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020: Challenges and Solutions" in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi.
The event drew eminent academics, policymakers, and educators from around the country, including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. Participants were eager to study and debate the complexities of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which promises to transform the educational system and pave the path for a future-ready India. At this event, hon'ble KIET management members, Shri Sarish Agarwal Ji, Chairman, Shri Sunil P. Gupta Ji, General Secretary, Shri G.D. Jain Ji, Treasurer were present along with Dr. Amik Garg, Director, Dr. Manoj Goel Joint Director, Dr. Vibhav Kumar Sachan, Dean R&D, and Dr. Anil K Ahlawat, Dean Academics.
The event started with the welcome address by Dr. Amik Garg, who elaborated on NEP 2020, and its importance.
The workshop commenced with the chief guest, Dr. Atul Kothari, (National Secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi), who set the stage with his insights on the NEP's holistic approach to development. He advocated for a paradigm shift from a job-centric education to one that emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability to meet the challenges of the 21st century. He talked about the role of students, parents, and teachers in the implementation of NEP 2020. The workshop underscored NEP 2020's focus on holistic development and character building, with Dr. Atul Kothari emphasizing the policy's shift from Eurocentric models to one ingrained in Indian ethos and values.
Prof. R.P. Tiwari, National Project Advisor at MERITE, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, added depth to the discourse with his elaboration on the policy's framework, ensuring inclusivity and flexibility to cater to a diverse population. Prof. Madhusudan Singh, Registrar, of Delhi Technological University, emphasized the NEP's goal of increasing educational reach and retention through a revamped structure, moving from the traditional 10+2 system to a more comprehensive 5+3+3+4 credit-based format.
The discussions took a deeper dive as Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth, former (Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad), spoke on integrating the rich Indian Knowledge System with modern academic disciplines. Dr. Parul Bhatnagar from Dayalbagh University, Agra, highlighted the imperative for Moral Education and Social Concerns to be woven into the fabric of our education system. Moreover, Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer at AICTE, Ministry of Education, New Delhi, addressed the significant move towards Technical Education in Indian languages, aiming to bridge the gap between vernacular mediums and technical prowess. The day progressed with engaging discussions on NEP 2020's innovative strategies for education, including a credit system adaptable to various quality platforms, a thrust on mental well-being, and the incorporation of vocational training into mainstream education.
Dr. Vivek Kumar stressed the integral role of industry in shaping academic syllabuses, advocating for continuous skill development and the need for a focused learning environment free from mobile distractions. Dr. Rajive Kumar shed light on the potential of a skill-based curriculum to be part of mainstream education through the Digital Skill India Portal and discussed the NEP's introduction of minor degrees that offer students the flexibility to tailor their education. Dr. Rajive Kumar also echoed the sentiment which outlines how the policy's innovative framework is designed to foster a well-rounded character in students, equipping them to meet the demands of a global ecosystem while retaining their cultural roots.
The event concluded with a valedictory session where Shri Atul Kothari Ji reiterated the need for proactive innovation and community involvement in education. He underscored the importance of parent engagement and emphasized reaching out to rural areas to ground the policy in the reality of the Indian populace.
This workshop at KIET Group of Institutions marked not just a discussion on educational policies but also ignited a collective commitment to act and adapt to the changing educational landscape, ensuring that NEP 2020 is not just a policy document but a blueprint for action in the years to come.
KIET Celebrates Its Silver Jubilee with Uttar Pradesh’s CM Yogi Adityanath

On Wednesday, 1st November 2023, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, organized a grand Silver Jubilee Celebration and Degree Distribution Ceremony on campus. The event was graced with the benign presence of Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as the Esteemed Chief Guest.
On this occasion, Shri VK Singh, Minister of State, Central Government, Shri Narendra Kashyap, Minister of State, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Anil Aggarwal, MP Rajya Sabha, Ms. Sunita Dayal, Mayor Ghaziabad, Ms. Mamta Tyagi, Zila Panchayat Adhyaksh Ghaziabad, Shri Ajit Pal Tyagi, MLA Muradnagar, Governing Council members of the institute, Institute’s Director, Joint Director, faculty and staff members, young graduates, university rank holders, startup entrepreneurs, top alumni, and media representatives were also present.
The moment Honourable CM, Yogi Ji entered KIET, everyone in the campus was in awe of his warm and strong personality. The event proceeded and began with CM’s welcome with a bouquet. Shri Atul Garg, Chairman, Governing Board-KIET along with other members in the Management, greeted and escorted CM Yogi to the Centre for Automotive Mechatronics and Centre for Advanced Woodworking, wherein the concerned faculty coordinators explained about their association with Mercedez Benz India and BIESSE India.
The team along with Yogi Ji proceeded ahead to inaugurate the institute’s new academic block, followed by his visit to different Centers of Excellence, including Space Technology, Robotics, and Drone Technology.
CM Yogi Ji was then escorted to the main event venue, wherein he was welcomed with an oxy plant and a memento by. During his address, Yogi Ji said, “I have come to congratulate the institute on the occasion of completing 25 years of academic journey. I congratulate Atul ji and his team that by introducing new-age courses like robotics, space technologies, they are shaping and polishing the new generation of India. After coming to KIET, I went through all the workshops here and came to know that the institute started with only 3 courses and now many courses affiliated with AKTU are taught here.” He also highlighted the benefits of using AI and latest technology.
Prof Jai Prakash Pandey, Honourable Vice Chancellor, AKTU was also present at the venue and was felicitated by the institute’s dignitaries.
On the occasion of completing 25 years of excellence, the celebration began with a video that highlighted the journey of the institute in the past two and a half decades. The institute’s Director, Dr. A Garg took the charge of presenting an institutional progress report, wherein he highlighted the major developments and achievements bagged by the institute in the past 25 years.
The program proceeded with the Degree Distribution Ceremony, in which 1639 meritorious students of batch 2022 were awarded with degrees. These included 27 University rank holders, who stood in the top 10 positions and won 6 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze medals, such as Rohan Khurana, CSE branch, Vidhi Agarwal, MCA and Sandeep Kumar, CE branch, etc. Apart from these, the institute also honored distinguished alumni, long serving dedicated employees and notable startups that established with the support of TBI-KIET.
As a token of respect and admiration towards the Chief Minister, the institute’s designing team displayed a special video that depicted the inspiring journey of Honourable CM, Yogi Adityanath Ji.
The event came to an end by paying regards to Yogi Ji and Prof Jai Prakash Pandey for being a part of the institute’s silver jubilee celebration. Overall, the event sailed off smoothly with nearly 1000 attendees including members from the institute and other guests.
KIET Welcomed New Students with Frescos’23

Department of B.Tech First Year and Applied Sciences, KIET Group of Institutions had conducted the Student Induction Programme from 29th September to 20th October 2023 with a motive to make students aware about academics, non-academics, technical, MOOC courses, extra curriculum, and many other domains of their interest. Invited talks on motivational, industrial were been arranged during this SIP. 21 days Student Induction Programme was ended by Cultural Programme (FRESCOS’23) which was held on 20th October 2023 and was being organized by B.Tech Second Year Students of all branches for their juniors in KIET Group of Institutions.

Various activities like dancing, singing, Mr. Fresher, Ms. Fresher and Mr. Talent and Ms. Talent were organized in this event. Mr. Sashant Sagar Jaiswal was the winner of Mr. Fresher for the year 2023 and Ms. Somya Sharma was the winner of Ms. Fresher for the year 2023. Mr. Sudarshan Dev Dwivedi was the winner of best Talent classical and Mr. Anshuman Rai as the winner of best Talent (Beat Boxing). Best Talent Group Dance was given to Mr. Divyansh Trivedi and Mr. Kaushal. From B. Tech Second Year Zayed Khan as best male Anchor and Shreya Pandey as best female Anchor were the winners.
All the faculty members, staff, students of First and Second enjoyed the event with full zeal and enthusiasm and cherished the moment fullest. It was the beginning of these new joinees in the KIET Group of Institutions, and they were warmly welcomed by second year students with full affectionate.
KIET Organized an Expert Talk as Part of Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat @2047

On Thursday, 19th October 2023, the Department of B. Tech First Year and Applied Sciences at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi- NCR, Ghaziabad, organized the Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat @2047 initiated by Ministry of Education, Government of India and AICTE under the visionary leadership of Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
For this mega event, AICTE nominated a very distinguished eminent speaker Shri Lokesh Mehra, Senior Business Lead Learner Engagement, Amazon Web Services. He visited the institute to deliver his thoughts on working the new normal – opportunities & transformation and nearly 500+ students participated in the session.
The event began by welcoming the eminent speaker with an oxy plant, in the presence of the Director Dr. A Garg, Joint Director, Dr Manoj Goel, and the Additional Director Dr. Shailesh Tiwari.
Dr. A Garg preceded the programme by addressing gathering about the significance of this initiative taken by AICTE with Ministry of Education. He said, “We feel highly privileged to be selected as one of institutes by AICTE to organize an expert talk under Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat @2047. With consistent efforts and determination, we shall definitely fulfill the goals of Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat, before 2047.” “I advise our future younger generation to be more vigilant about their career”, he added.
Dean B.Tech First Year and Applied Sciences Dr Shailendra Kumar Tiwary shared the involvements in this programme where newly admitted students can explore their academic, extra-curricular activities, sports, mental fitness (Yoga), Coding and many more for their evolution in their professional, emotional and mental path.
During his session, Mr Lokesh Mehra interacted with the students and explained how technology and generative AI is creating new job opportunities. He advised that “as the GenZ students, you all must focus on getting good grades, exploring internship opportunities, learn a foreign language and inculcate a habit of reading, in order to be successful in this tech-driven world.”
Students were thrilled to hear him and were highly motivated by his words of wisdom. The institute’s Director, then proceeded to present the eminent speaker with memento as a token of gratitude.
The Vote of Thanks was presented by the Student Induction Program Coordinator, Dr. CM Batra, who thanked the institute’s dignitaries, guest speaker, deans, heads of technical departments, functional heads, faculty members and students of B.Tech First Year, for participating in this interactive session.
The session was concluded by playing National Anthem paying respect and regards to our Nation Bharat as an active citizen of India.
KIET is Ragging-Free, Says the Anti-Ragging Committee

The annual meeting of the Anti-Ragging Committee was organized on Friday (13.10.2023) at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Amik Garg, Director of the Institute and Chairman of Anti Ragging Committee. Joint Director and Vice Chairman of the Anti-Ragging Committee, Dr. Manoj Goel welcomed everyone. Dr. Amik Garg and Dr. Manoj Goel mentioned all the measures taken by the institute to stop ragging and also told that the Institute promotes a ragging-free atmosphere. Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Satish Kumar, gave a detailed presentation on all the measures taken by the institute to prevent ragging, such as formation and implementation of Anti Ragging Committee and Anti Ragging Squad. All the Deans, Heads of Departments and other members of Anti Ragging Committee were present in the meeting.
KIET Flagged-Off its Annual ‘International Education Awareness Week’ With a Bang

The Department of PR & International Relations at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized a 4-day International Education Awareness Week (IEAW) on campus from 3rd October to 6th October 2023. This is an annual flagship programme, initiated by the institute to provide insights into international education and internships. 500+ college students and 100+ school students from a plethora of schools participated in the education fair organized on 5th October, as part of this programme.
The day-1 began with lamp lighting by the esteemed Chief Guest, Her Excellency Ms. Mukangira Jacqueline, High Commissioner of Rwanda to India. During the programme, she highlighted how international education forms the foundation of understanding, empathy, and collaboration among diverse cultures and nations.
In continuation to this, day-2 was all about sharing information on important aspects of going for education across the globe. There were sessions on the art of Profile Building and Scholarships, IELTS examination, and admissions in the United States. All the eminent speakers were felicitated by Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Head PR & IR, Dr. Madhu Gautam, Assistant Head IR, and other members of Team IR.
The third day of the event was scheduled to be an International Education Fair that began with welcoming the eminent dignitaries, directors, school principals, teachers, university representatives and school students. The fair brought together representatives from 60+ foreign universities to engage with the students personally and provide them personalized counseling sessions. Some of the major universities included Manchester Metropolitan University, Aston University, Robert Gordon University, Saint Martin’s College, Ohio Dominican University, and many others from New Zealand, UK, USA, Australia, and Ireland.
On this occasion, Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET, highlighted the importance of international education in becoming a global citizen. He motivated the students to learn technology from all over the world and work towards the betterment of humanity and nation.
After the fair, the last day was the most important day among all, as it hosted sessions on the importance of foreign languages and international internship opportunities. The sessions highlighted the importance of learning a foreign language and how the same could help them in near future. In addition to this, the institute exchanged an MoU with Surevin International School to support and hand-hold the students in understanding and practicing concepts, related to robotics & automation.
These sessions were followed by a felicitation ceremony, where all the eminent speakers, along with the faculty & student coordinators were felicitated for making this event a huge success. Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET, appreciated the efforts of the Department of PR & International Relations and said that “we should always try to innovate our ideas on bringing the best to the table, and I congratulate Dr. Preeti Chitkara for coming up with an amazing concept like IEAW and bringing together counsellors, university representatives, school teachers and students under one umbrella.”
Overall, the entire week went off well with an exciting lineup of sessions and presentations from esteemed speakers and guests.
KIET Organized an Address Session by an AICTE Official

The Department of B. Tech First Year and Applied Sciences at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi- NCR Ghaziabad, organized a 3-week Student Induction Programme (2023-24) for B. Tech First Year Students. On 5th October, the department arranged a session by very distinguished guest speaker, Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan, Advisor of All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of Education in the Student Induction Programme.
Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET, and Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET, welcomed the guest speaker with an Oxy plant. The programme proceeded by playing KIET Anthem and providing brief intro about the institute. This was followed by the welcome speech of the institute’s director. He said, “I feel really honoured to welcome Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan to our campus, along with all the new students, who have chosen to be a part of KIET family.” Continuing his speech, he also highlighted the major achievements of the institute made in the past 25 years.
The Session by Dr. Ramesh Unnikrishnan was very interactive and exemplary for the students. Students were thrilled to hear him and were highly motivated by his words of wisdom. He said, “In the field of Engineering, it is important to learn how you can apply theory concepts of respective branches into practical applications. Engineers are not technocrats; they are social engineers. So, connect with your society problems and resolve them as per your expertise.” He also briefed about the importance of SIP in the commencement of B. Tech First year session in any institute.

TBI-KIET Selected as One of the Nine Partner Incubators in India

The Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, has been selected as a Partner Incubator by the iDEX program under the Directorate of Indigenization (DIO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
This prestigious recognition places TBI-KIET among an elite group of nine incubators selected nationwide. Earlier there were 19 incubators, to which 9 incubators have been added during the recent ‘Swavlamban 2023’ event organized on 4th October in New Delhi. The announcement was made during a distinguished ceremony at the event that was graced by the presence of the Honourable Raksha Mantri (RM), Shri Rajnath Singh, and other top-ranking officials representing the Defence forces of India.
To date, only two to three private institutions were recognized as partner incubators by the iDEX program, besides IITs, IIMs, IIITs. But, after this recognition, TBI-KIET has also marked its position in the list of partner incubators.

KIET Celebrates the Success of Chandrayan Mission – 3 on Campus

On Wednesday, 23rd August 2023, the entire nation was glued up to their mobile screens for the live telecast of the landing of Chandrayan Mission 3, and so was KIET Group of Institutions and its family. The Centre of Excellence for Space Missions and the team of Dean Student Welfare collaboratively made live streaming arrangements at the campus’ auditorium, so that all the faculty/ staff members and students could witness and celebrate this historical moment like One Proud Indian Family.
Exactly at 6:04PM, when Vikram Lander successfully made a soft landing at the moon’s south pole, everyone at the auditorium was thrilled with joy. Everyone hugged each other and celebrated the spirit of being the citizen of India. Sweets and other refreshments were also distributed in the entire campus.
On this occasion, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET said, “The success of Chandrayan 3 is not just the success of the ISRO scientists, it is also the success of each and every person living in this country. I congratulate everyone for this victory and hope that the young blood of the nation will continue creating such historic moments in the future.” “I would also like to thank the team of Space Missions CoE for coordinating and making all the arrangements related to the live streaming on campus.”, he added.
Dr. Parvin Kumar Kaushik, Assistant Dean (R&D) said, “I am filled with pride when I say that india is the first country to land on moon's south pole. ISRO’s contribution towards the space missions of the nations have always been commendable, and I truly believe that we have a long way to go. Few months ago, we signed an MoU with the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of ISRO, in order to strengthen the academic and research interaction. As per the MoU, KIET and SAC-ISRO shall be collaborating for project-based learning, joint research projects, internships, and courses with the SAC scientists. This collaboration will bring great benefits for our students, and I believe that one day, our students will also be contributing in exploring new studies related to space.”
Dr. Satish Kumar, Dean Student Welfare also expressed his thoughts by saying, “The Pragyan Rover is all set to explore the lunar surface and carry out a variety of experiments. KIET wishes the best to all the scientists of ISRO.”
The program ended with a Vote of Thanks from the Space Missions CoE Team and national anthem. Everyone dispersed with a big smile and pride in heart. All the deans, heads, functional heads, along with faculty and staff members from different members were present at the auditorium.
KIET Celebrates The 77th Year of Independent India with Full Enthusiasm

On Tuesday, August 15th 2023, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, celebrated the 77th independence day on-campus with great pride, joy and enthusiasm. The event was organized to pay tribute to the freedom fighters and soldiers, who sacrificed their lives in the name of the nation. Nearly 500+ KIETians attended this event, including the institute’s dignitaries, deans, HoDs, functional HoDs, faculty, members, staff members, and students.
The event began with the welcome of the chief guest, Subedar Ganesh Nath Ji, Shaurya Chakra Awardee, by the Master of Ceremony, Prof. Himanshu Saxena. The chief guest then proceeded towards hoisting the national flag in the presence of honorable members of management, Shri A.N Gupta Ji, Shri G.D Jain Ji, Dr. A Garg, Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, and Dr. Satish Kumar, Dean Student Welfare.
Dr. A Garg, during his speech, said, “Entering the 77th year of independence is a great moment of pride for all of us. We are privileged to be born in independent India. This reminds us the relentless efforts and sacrifices of our ancestors, who gave their all, in order to free the nation from slavery. Now, it is our responsibility to keep the nation in safe hands, become a developed nation at the earliest and attain the lost glory of golden age.”
Subedar Ganesh Nath Ji also shared his experiences and motivated the students to serve the nation.
Dr. Manoj Goel appreciated Dr. Satish Kumar, Dean Student Welfare, and his entire team, including Dr. Mani Tyagi, Dr. Prarthana, Dr. Abhishek, and Prof. Himanshu Saxena for successfully organizing this event. He said, “I believe that 15th August is not meant to commemorate the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, but also a day to appreciate the selfless service of our staff members towards the institute.” This was followed by felicitating the peons, security guards and cleaning staff with certificate of appreciation and cash prizes.
Song and dance performances by students from the institute’s dance and music club were the major highlights. The program came to an end with a Vote of thanks and distribution of sweets to all the members present at the campus.
KIET Group of Institutions Organized an 8-Day FDP on Universal Human Values

The “Happiness and Cognition Centre” at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, successfully organized an AICTE approved Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values-II from July 31, 2023, to August 07, 2023. Nearly 63 faculty members from KIET and other top engineering colleges registered for this FDP. However, only 48 completed the eight-day programme within the premises of the institute.
The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET, who gave an insightful and inspiring speech to the audience. He said, “organizing such FDPs is really important for every citizen of the nation as they emphasize on the relevance of human values and encourage people to become competent citizens.”
This was followed by the welcome of main dignitaries deputed through AICTE, viz. Mr. Moti Chand Yadav (resource person), Dr. Manishi Mishra (co-facilitator), Dr. Manorama (co-facilitator), and Mr. Raghvendra Pratap Singh (Observer).
As the resource person, Mr. Moti Chand Yadav chaired all the sessions conducted during this 8-day FDP. All of his sessions on Universal Human Values were as per the norms and schedule defined by the AICTE. Also, they were very interactive.
The observer, Mr. R. P. Singh informed the rules and regulations to the audience to ensure sincerity during the FDP. His insightful remarks set the tone for the FDP, inspiring participants to actively engage in the upcoming sessions.
Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, head of “Happiness and Cognition Center” (HCC-KIET), emphasized stress-free management and briefed everyone regarding the future initiatives of the vertical.
The last day of the FDP concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Amit Kumar and Dr. Kapil Sharma, who were the Local Program Coordinators throughout the FDP session. Mr. Alok Pandey, Dr. Arunima Mishra, and Ms. Pallavi Sharma were present as the supporting team members.
KIET Organizes a Webinar on IPR & Patents Designs Filing Under NIPAM 2.0

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad recently organized a Webinar on IPR & Patents, designs filing under the National IP Awareness Mission (NIPAM 2.0). The webinar was conducted in association with the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Around 115 participants (faculty and students from all departments of KIET) attended the National Workshop.
The programme commenced with the welcome of the eminent speaker for the webinar, Mr. Alok Mishra (Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs & NIPAM Officer, Patent Office, New Delhi), along with the institute’s Director, Dr. A. Garg, and Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel by Dr. Richa Goel.
Dr. A Garg welcomed all the present members on board and shared that conducting such webinars is highly fruitful for providing deep insight into various types of Intellectual property rights and their applications.
Mr. Alok Mishra explained the basic procedures for patent application filling in a very elaborative manner. He also highlighted some important tips for drafting patents by individuals and patent application filing.
At the end of the session, there was an Interactive Q&A session and quiz organized to clear all the doubts related to the field of IPR.
This was followed by the speech of the institute’s Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, who congratulated Dr. Vibhav Sachan, Dean R&D, Dr. K. Nagarajan, Principal, KIET School of Pharmacy & Associate Dean Patents, Dr. Binkey Srivastava, HoD KIET school of Management and Head Alumni Engagement Cell for successfully organizing the webinar.

KIET Group of Institutions Organizes 3-day FDP on Universal Human Values

The KIET Group of Institutions, located in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, has successfully organized an AICTE-approved three-day Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values, held from 23rd June 2023 to 25th June 2023. This program was specifically designed for Deans, Heads of Departments (HODs), Additional HODs, and Professors, with the aim of fostering a conducive environment for holistic, value-based education.
The program commenced with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed members from AICTE, namely Dr. Kumar Sambhav (Resource Person), Dr. H.K. Rai (Co-Facilitator), and Dr. Vanchna Singh (Observer), by Dr. A. Garg, Director of KIET. Dr. Garg shared, "This FDP is expected to assist leaders in cultivating healthy interpersonal relationships, implementing value-based policies and systems, fostering a transparent academic work culture, and aligning one's thoughts with NEP 2020 (National Education Policy 2020)."
Throughout the three-day FDP, participants had the opportunity to grasp the correct order of priority, namely Right Understanding, Relationship, and Physical Facility, in order to achieve the continuity of happiness and prosperity. The sessions also placed significant emphasis on fostering harmony in society, nature, and existence.
Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, Head of the Happiness and Cognition Centre, expressed gratitude to all the deans, heads, professors, and other participants for their involvement in the FDP, highlighting how such programs aid individuals in the process of self-exploration. Dr. Arunima Mishra, Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Archana Sharma, Prof. Seema Maitrey, Dr. Priyanka Rai, Prof. Seema Chauhan, and Prof. Pallavi Sharma were present at the FDP as organizing members.
The FDP concluded with participants sharing their feedback and exploring the future vision of the Happiness and Cognition Centre at the institute.
KIET Group of Institutions Organized Guardian Educator Meet for MCA Students

The Department of MCA at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized Guardian Educator Meet (GEM@KIET 2023) for MCA Batch 2022-24. In the program, views were shared with the parents of the first year students on the possibilities related to academics, skill development, placement etc. of the students.
The program began with worship of Maa Saraswati and the welcome address of the institute’s Director, Dr. A. Garg. While addressing the parents, he said that “For the all-round development of the students, the MCA department organizes cultural activities from time to time, which not only helps the students to connect themselves with the institute, but also improve their skills.”
Dean Academics, Dr. Anil Ahlawat said that the parents are the most important stakeholders of the education system. Today, in the era of internet and technology, the role of parents and guardians has increased. These good practices help in shaping the personality of the students and prepare them as per the requirements of the career.
Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, HoD MCA, explained the online teaching, evaluation process, mentoring process, project development process and other information about the academic process of the MCA department. Further, addressing the parents about the department, Additional Head Prof. RN Prof. Panda said that “The e-content is hosted on Moodle, using which, the students can upload assignments from home and faculty members can also evaluate them from home.
Additional Head DPC, Dr. Ankit Verma shared placement information of the MCA department with the parents. He said, “In the year 2020-21, 57 companies came in which 114 students of the department were successfully placed. 33 students got more than one offer.”
On the other hand, Additional Head DSDC, Dr. Vipin Kumar also advised the students to do specialization in various fields to prepare them for companies and industries.
The program was coordinated by Prof. Prashant Agarwal and Prof. Neelam Rawat. Prof. RN Panda expressed gratitude to the Management, Director and Joint Director of the Institute, Head of the MCA Department, all the faculty members, all the students and all the parents present in the program. KIET Successfully Organized Seminar on "How to Plan for Start-Up” On Campus

With an aim to inculcate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, a seminar on "How to Plan for Start-up, Legal and Ethical Steps" was organized on Friday, by the Department of MCA at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, HOD, MCA by welcoming the keynote speaker of the seminar, Mr. Sachin Rathore, Head Innovation Centre, KIET.
During the inauguration, Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi said that “The main objective of the seminar is to enlighten the students on the importance of patents, challenges and any legal or ethical issues faced during the initial stages of building a start-up.” “Along with this, the objective of the seminar is also to share how the institute helps the students in all these contexts.” He added.
Addressing the students, the keynote speaker Mr. Sachin Rathore said that “It is very important for a startup to have clarity about the idea. Lack of focus at the idea level results in startup failure. Online business startups have a tougher competition rate. Thereby, dedication is essential for the success of any startup.” He further stated that “Financial management is one of the biggest challenges faced by startups today. If you want to take a bank loan to start your business, then it is necessary to register your company under the Companies Act. If you start a business related to production, then you also have to take NOC from the Ministry of Pollution and Labor.”
During the seminar, Dr. K. L. A. Khan (Dean-IEC) and Dr. Rupesh Chalisgaonkar (Associate Dean-IEC) were also present. The students told that they got a lot of necessary information regarding a startup from this program. At the end of the seminar, Dr. Amit Kumar expressed gratitude to the management, HoD MCA, keynote speaker and all the faculty members and students present in the seminar.
500+ KIETians Gathered to Celebrate International Yoga Day

On Wednesday, 21st June 2023, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized a grand programme for celebrating the International Day of Yoga on campus. Nearly 500+ fitness enthusiasts participated in the yoga session, including the Director, Joint Director, Deans, HoDs, Faculty/Staff Members and Students of the institute.
The programme began with the lamp lighting ceremony by Dr. A Garg, Director, Dr. Satish Kumar, Dean Student Welfare and Dr. Hemlata Sharma, followed by Saraswati Vandana, performed beautifully by the talented students. Dr. A Garg proceeded the programme further, by welcoming the Chief Guest, Dr. Hemlata Sharma, who is a renowned Yogacharya and practitioner of yogic sutras of our nation.
Dr. Garg asked the participants to imbibe the art of discipline among themselves by saying, “Yoga is the most precious ancestral heritage for Indians, and we should make it a point to utilize it for keeping our mental and physical health sound and on-track.”
Yogacharya, Dr. Sharma took charge of teaching different yoga mudras and postures to all the KIETians present during the yoga session. These included Shavasana, Dandasana, Vajrasana, Navasana, Urdhva Hastasana, Bhujangasana, Vrksasana and so on. Reiterating the words of the institute’s director, she said, “Yoga is not just a technique to keep yourself fit and healthy; it is rather a healing process that cleanses you from within and activates the chakras in your body.” She also talked about few office yoga poses that the faculty members can perform while sitting on their chairs.
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, also shared words of appreciation for Dr. Satish Kumar, Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Dr. Mani Tyagi. Dr. Prarthana, and Prof. Harshvardhan for planning and executing the programme smoothly.
This was followed with the felicitation of Dr. Hemlata Sharma with a memento as a token of respect and vote of thanks by Ms. Mona Agarwal, Sports Officer, KIET. The entire crowd gathered around the stage for national anthem and a group photograph. Overall, the event went out very smooth, rejuvenating all the members to start their day fresh and in a healthy way.
KIET Signs an MoU with LinkedIN

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad has recently signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with LinkedIN, which is one of the biggest professional networking platforms in the world.
The MOU was signed and exchanged between Dr. A Garg, Director KIET Group of Institutions and Ms. Saba Karim, India A&G Head of LinkedIn. Ms. Anchal from LinkedIn and other members from the institute, including Dr. Ajay K. Shrivastava, Head SD&FS, Mr. Prashant Agrawal, Additional Head SD&FS-CCIP, and Dr. Vipin Kumar, Additional Head SD&FS-Skill Development were among the witness members during the MoU signing ceremony.

KIET Celebrates Musical Day With Alumni

KIET Alumni Association (KAA) and Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized Alumni Musical Day-2023 at the campus premises recently. The program was organized to foster a sense of unity among the alumni community and was attended by 150+ alumni who are now successful professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, and performers in various fields.
The program began with the lamp lighting ceremony by Dr. A Garg, Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, and Dr. Binkey Srivastava, Head-AEC. During her welcome speech, Dr. Binkey said, “I am honoured to welcome everyone on this auspicious day, when we are celebrating the magic of music with our alumni. Also, it feels great to welcome to have our students, and parents of aspiring KIETians with us today.”
Dr. A Garg expressed his delight at the reunion of alumni and spoke about the remarkable changes and advancements that the college has undergone. He emphasized, “Staying connected with your alma mater is very important to foster a strong bond, and contribute to the overall growth and development of the institution.”
This was followed by vibrant performances by the participants. From soulful melodies to foot-tapping beats, the performances enthralled the audience and showcased the diverse musical talents of the alumni.
Dr. Manoj Goel appreciated the efforts of Mr. Kamal Kant Sharma (Associate Head-AEC), Ms. Arti Sharma, Mr. Manish Verma and the students of KIET Music Club for coordinating and organizing the event successfully.

TBI-KIET to Smoothen Start-Ups’ Entrepreneurial Journey

TBI-KIET in collaboration with venture catalyst inaugurated the two-month Business Acceleration program sponsored by StartinUP, Government of Uttar Pradesh on 27th May 2023 at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad.
The program aims to create an optimal environment for startups to scale up by providing support in the form of Entrepreneurship modules and connecting the startups with a widespread network of evaluators, mentors, investors, accelerators, and industry veterans.
The inaugural session began with the warm welcome of the chief guest, Dr Nalin Srivastava (Scientist E & Joint Director- Meity, GOI) Mr. Abhishek Tiwari (Program Director, Start in UP), Mr. Ashank Singh (VP- Venture catalysts), Kapil Malhotra (Executive VP and senior partner startup ecosystem, Yes bank) and Mr Rahul Mangla (Strategic Alliance Division, office of PSA, GOI).
The institute’s director, Dr. A Garg, encouraged the participants with his kind blessings and best wishes. He said, “I welcome all the honorable guests on board and I believe that this program will surely help early-stage startups to kick-start their entrepreneurial journey to the next level.”

KIET Organizes RUN 2.0 to Commemorate 25 Years of Excellence

KIET Group of Institutions, located in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, officially announced the commemoration of their 25th anniversary of excellence on Sunday, May 21, 2023. As part of the celebration, they organized a 5-kilometer running event named "KIET RUN 2.0." The event took place at Connaught Place, New Delhi, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 200 individuals, including students, faculty members, institute dignitaries, and volunteers. The primary objective of the run was to promote the importance of maintaining good health.
The event commenced with a flag-off ceremony conducted by Dr. A Garg, Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, and esteemed chief guests Ms. Kiran Sethi, Sub-Inspector from Delhi, and Dr. Richa Sood, Director & Principal of Royal Kids School, Ghaziabad. Following the ceremony, participants engaged in brisk walking and running activities.
After completing minimum 5 laps by each participant, everyone moved towards the felicitation ceremony, wherein Dr. A Garg congratulated all the KIETians for completing 25 years of excellence. “It fills my heart with great pride to be welcoming Ms. Kiran Sethi and Dr. Richa Sood on this platform, where we are commemorating ‘bemisaal 25 saal’. Being inspired by your passion towards sports and fitness, I announce that we would surely plan to include sports as one of the elective subjects, as and when we turn into an autonomous institute.”, he said.
Dr. Manoj Goel said, “the motive behind organizing KIET RUN 2.0 was to promote the feeling of unity and oneness among all the members of the institute. Today, when I see, all the faculty members, deans, HoDs and helping staff, walking and running together, I feel that our motto is fulfilled.” I would like to appreciate Dr. Preeti Chitkara (Head PR and International Relations), Mr. Sachin Rathore (Head Innovation Centre), and Mr. Kamal kant Sharma (Associate Head AEC) for successfully planning and organizing this great event.

Inspiring People to Live in the Wonka World: TEDxKIET 2023

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, successfully organized the fourth edition of TEDxKIET, on the theme ‘Living the Wonka World’. The motive behind choosing this theme was to encourage everyone to embrace the magic and wonder of life and approach each day with a sense of curiosity and creativity.
Nearly 500+ students from different schools across Sonipat were a part of this event. Apart from them, the event featured 11 prominent speakers, namely Wily Frenzy (Musician), Ella D' Verma (model), Rakesh Khatri (Environmentalist), Saurabh Sharma (Badminton Player), MC Heam (Musician), Nitye Sood (Film Maker), Saksham Garg (Author), Manu Kwatra (Dancer), Sakshi Shrivas (Actor, Software Engineer), Keerthika Govindhasamy (History graduate, YouTuber) and Moumala Nayak (Kathak Dancer) who encouraged the audience with their TEDx talks and shared the motto of TED, "Ideas Worth Spreading."
The event commenced with lighting the lamp, followed by a welcome speech by the Director of the institute, Dr. A Garg. He welcomed all the students, teachers, and esteemed speakers, and said, “I hope all of us will try to become better versions of ourselves after this session.”
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, also expressed his thoughts by saying that through this event, all the youngsters sitting here, will understand how to realize their true-selves and deal with demotivation in a positive way.
The first speaker of the event, Rakesh Khatri, popularly known as "The Nest Man of India'', defined how important it is to conserve and preserve every part of nature in this growing world of industrialization.
Another speaker, Ella D'Verma, who is also the 1st Runner Up at Miss TransQueen India 23, motivated people to normalize the community of transgender people. She eloquently depicted that, “being transgender or homosexual is not a sin. It is the society that has corrupted our minds into defying people into different categories and treating them according to that.”
Towards the end, the team felicitated the speakers, school dignitaries, sponsors, and the entire team of TEDxKIET with a token of respect. All the media partners, sponsors, and students appreciated their sincere and valuable efforts towards the event. The event was packed with astonishing instances of talks, appearances, inventiveness, and creativity that motivated everyone to take a new perspective on life and approach each day with a sense of wonder.
KIET Group of Institutions Conducted an Expert Session on AR & VR

On Saturday, 29th April 2023, The Department of Computer Applications at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad successfully conducted an expert session on the topic “Current Trends in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)”. Nearly 80+ students and all the faculty members of the MCA department participated in the session with an aim to provide the participants with valuable insights into the latest trends and innovations in these technologies.
The session began with the welcome of Dr. Sushil Chandra, Scientist ‘G’ INMAS DRDO, in the presence of Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET, Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, HoD MCA and Dr. KLA Khan, Dean IEC. During his speech, Dr. A Garg said, “We are highly glad to welcome Dr. Chandra on our campus and I hope all the faculty members and students will be able to explore new technologies and opportunities in field of AR and VR.”
Thereafter, Dr. Sushil Chandra began with the session, wherein, he shared valuable insights and experiences on the latest trends and innovations in AR and VR. Participants learned about the emerging developments in AR and VR, potential applications of AR and VR in various industries, and the challenges and opportunities in AR and VR development.
The interactive session provided a comprehensive overview of AR and VR technologies and allowed participants to engage with the experts and ask questions.
Towards the end, Ms. Neelam Rawat, Associate Professor MCA, thanked everyone present at the venue and said, “Thank you Dr. Chandra for such an enlightening session. I believe the participants gained valuable insights on the emerging trends, potential applications, opportunities and future prospects in the arena of AR and VR.”

KIET Group of Institutions Organized a Book Exhibition on Campus

On Friday, 28th April 2023, the Knowledge Resource Centre at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized a Book Exhibition for all the students and faculty members of the institute. This exhibition was organized to provide a platform to the KIETians to explore the areas of their interest and improve their knowledge domain.
Nearly 20 publishers, including Pearson Education, Wiley, McGraw Hill, S Chand, Newage Publication, Vayu Publication, Nirali, and Made Easy Publication displayed a wide variety of books in the field of Management, Pharmacy, Computers, Humanities, Engineering, Emerging Technologies, and Applied Sciences. Apart from these, Competitive exam books (like GATE, PSUs, CAT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, UPSC, SSC, ESE etc.), Motivational books, and Novels also attracted the attention of book lovers.
The exhibition began with the ribbon cutting ceremony by the Chief guest, Mr. Alexander Hogeveen Rutter, Specialist at the International Solar Alliance, and Dr. A Garg, Director KIET, in the presence of all dignitaries and Dr. Abhinav Juneja, Professor Incharge Library. This was followed by a welcome speech by the institute’s director, who said, “It makes me feel really honoured to welcome all the publishers to our campus. I believe books do not just magnify our knowledge horizon, but also help us explore the seamless possibilities in the world.”
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, congratulated the Officiating Library Incharge, Ms. Reeta Singhal, and Assistant librarians, Mr. Kuldeep Sharma and Ms. Kavita Singh for successfully managing and conducting the book exhibition with great ease.
Throughout the exhibition, all the faculty members and students were seen exploring books related to academics and non-academic topics. Ms. Neelam Rawat, Associate Professor MCA, said, “I love to read a lot of books and I am enjoying checking out an array of books related to my subject expertise and other areas of interest. I have even bought 3 books from Vayu Education Publishers and gonna make the best use of these books, for sure.”
All the Deans, Heads and Functional Heads were present at the exhibition venue and also shared their recommendations for different editions of books that should be made available in the institute’s library.
KIET’s Team Returns to India After a Win at 'NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2023'

Team Interstellars from KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad has finally returned to their country on Wednesday, 26th April after raising the name of India on foreign soil. This team participated in the 'NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2023' that was conducted from April 20 to April 22, 2023, in Huntsville, Alabama, US (Space and Rocket Center of NASA). In this competition, they had to compete with 61 teams selected from around the world. However, only 48 teams out of 61 actually reached the destination to participate in the competition.
Among various award categories KIET got awarded with the Social Media Award (College/University Division) for being active on social media and sharing all updates related to design, fabrication, report evaluation etc.
On Wednesday morning, the team was welcomed with drum beats, garlands and much more to warmly celebrated the victory in a traditional way.
On 27th April, all the founders and trustees of the institute viz. Mr. Atul Garg, Mr. Sarish Aggarwal and Shri GD Jain ji were present in the campus to cheer the team. All of them congratulated and blessed all the students for achieving this milestone in America.
On this occasion, the Director of the Institute, Dr. A. Garg also congratulated all the students on their big win and said “I would like to congratulate the mentor of the team, Mr. Tuhin Srivastava. The way he maintained the morale of the team members in every difficult stage, gave them the right guidance at the right time, is purely commendable.
Mr. Tuhin Srivastava said that a total of 6 teams from India participated in the competition, including renowned institutes like Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, Young Tinker Academy, Odisha.
The director also motivated the team members to share their experiences. The team's Maintenance Head, Arin Singh said that visiting the US gave them great exposure, opportunity to network with teams from around the world and also learn project and team management in a very realistic way. “There is a very tough competition at the international level and next year we will participate in this competition again and design our rover in a better way.”, he added.
The team's vice-captain and driver, Yatharth Vaish, said, “Being the driver, all the pressure of winning or losing the event was on my part. This time the track was also made of gravel instead of asphalt, so the difficulties for the rover were very high. We may not have won the competition, but I am glad that our rover excursion was successful.”
Shruti Jain, the only female member of the team, said, “During the competition, we met a gentleman who participates in the NASA Rover Challenge every year and is now going to organize his own Rover Challenge in Germany. He has invited us to Germany during the summer break, where we shall design our own rover.”
Joint Director, Dr Manoj Goel, Head ME Dr Ashish Karnwal and all KIETians showered their blessings on the team. There is a wave of happiness running throughout the institute and everyone is hoping that the students of KIET will bring-in more laurels like these in the future as well.
KIET Group of Institutions to Represent Delhi-NCR at NASA Rover Challenge 2023

NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2023 is all set to welcome 61 teams across the world that shall compete against each other to develop and invent new technologies for crewed space missions. Team INTERSTELLARS from SAEINDIA Collegiate Club of KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad has been selected as one of the teams from India that is working on human-powered rovers. This 3-day competition will be organized in Huntsville, Alabama, US (NASA’s space & rocket center) from 20th April to 22nd April 2023.
As per the team’s mentor, Mr. Tuhin Srivastava, this is the third-time for SAEINDIA Collegiate Club of KIET to participate in the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge. He stated, “In 2019, we got the prestigious "AIAA Neil Armstrong Best Design Award" and in the year 2021, we got "Phoenix Award". This year, our team is comprised of 6 student members, and we are hopeful to win the competition.”
On 12th April 2023, the institute organized the Rover Flag-Off Ceremony at the SAEKIET Workshop on campus along with a press conference, wherein the team discussed about their project and celebrated their achievement to have made to this point. Team Captain Agam Jain said, "It was not an easy or smooth journey for us. We spent sleepless nights to design and assemble our rover. Fitting the frame in a box of size 5*5*5, keeping in mind the strength of the frame, keeping the weight of the vehicle in mind, were all very tough tasks, but we are confident that our rover will easily overcome all the obstacles and tasks, put forth in the competition.”
Elated by the enthusiasm of the students, the institute’s Director, Dr. A Garg, said, “I always believed myself to be a good orator. But, today, I feel out of words. I am joyful, exhilarated and speechless at the same time. You are not just the future of KIET Group of Institutions, but the future of our nation. I wish Team INTERSTELLARS and their mentor Mr. Tuhin, the very best and we shall definitely win.”
The institute’s Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, too expressed his emotions by blessing the team with all the luck. He added, “We are glad to shared that on the basis of our previous performances in the past events, AICTE has approved the reputed SSPCA (Support to Students Participating in Competitions Abroad) Sponsorship for our team. In addition, the institute is also supporting the team by providing financial support from its end.”
As per NASA, all the participating teams shall be judged on the basis of their ability to assemble a rover that could traverse a half-mile course, consisting of 10 obstacles and 5 tasks with a simulated field of crevasses, boulders, asteroid debris, erosion ruts, and an ancient streambed.
KIET Ghaziabad signs an MoU with Space Applications Centre (SAC), ISRO

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad has recently signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to strengthen academic and research interaction. The MOU provides an elite opportunity not only to KIETians but to all researchers and students of the North Indian region, as KIET is the first affiliated institution that grabbed this opportunity to align with the vision of ISRO.
The MOU was signed and exchanged between Sh. Nilesh M. Desai (Director SAC, ISRO) & Dr. A Garg (Director KIET Group of Institutions) at SAC, ISRO, Ahmedabad. Dr. S.S Sarkar (Deputy Director SAC, ISRO), Dr. Arti Sarkar (Group Director SAC, ISRO), and Dr. Parvin Kumar (Assistant Dean R&D, KIET Group of Institutions) were the witness and signing members of MOU.
The partnership aims to advance the development and application of technology, build deep tech capabilities, and promote collaborative conferences and workshops. These activities will include developing programs to enhance capabilities in selected areas for SAC, engaging in doctoral programs, and bringing the expertise of scientists into the classrooms at KIET.
Dr. A Garg mentioned that "We are delighted to collaborate with SAC for project-based learning and research. Our faculty and students will benefit from joint research projects, internships, and courses with the SAC scientists". “With their collective expertise and resources, they can create a research environment that fosters innovation and creativity, allowing for the exploration of new ideas and the advancement of knowledge in various fields.”, he added.
Sh. Nilesh Desai appreciated the institute's commitment to applied research. He said, “team KIET will work on various novel aspects of satellite payloads with the mentorship of the SAC scientist Team. This partnership will go a long way in advancing technology and space research in India.” Team KIET can also register to attend the launch of satellites at Shriharikota for learning outcomes. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Arti Sarkar highlighted the work done so far with KIET. She also expressed her willingness to guide the KIET team. Dr. Parvin Kumar presented the progress of Space Technologies and stated that “this MOU provides a gateway to the faculty members and students of the Centre of Excellence for "Space Technologies" at KIET, which is working on designing student Nanosatellite.

KIET On Its Way to Celebrate and Promote Cyber Peace

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, recently celebrated the foundation day of one of its Centre of Excellence, i.e. Cyber Peace Centre, in the presence of Sh. P.N. Dohare (Senior General Manager) and Mr. Abhishek Gupta, (SDE(EB)) from ALTTC Ghaziabad.
The event began with the welcome address by the Director of the institute, Dr. A Garg, who focused on the need for cyber-trained skilled workforce and the scope of Industry in this domain.
During the event, the Cyber Peace Centre launched its website and Cyber Helpline Number to help the KIETians in case of any cyber related threats and frauds.
Staff and Students were felicitated during the event, on the basis of their outstanding contribution in the CoE. The COE also signed an MOU with Network Bulls, Gurugram for collaboration in the domain with the institute. Earlier during the day, a workshop on ‘Networking and current cyber security trends’ was also conducted by Mr. Pramod Singh from Network Bulls for the CPC students.
Alumni Sports Meet @ KIET: A Rendezvous Like No Other

KIET-Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) and KIET Alumni Association (KAA) jointly organised the Alumni Sports Meet 2023 at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad. Around 70 alumni attended the event and participated in various sports. The meet was organised to reconnect with alumni and to keep them up-to-date on recent changes at the college.
The event began with the welcome of invited alumni by Dr. Binkey Srivastava, Head-AEC and Mr. Vinod Kumar Yadav from KAA.
The Director of the institute, Dr. A Garg, was also present during the event. He said, “KIET is extremely proud and happy to welcome our beloved students, who are sitting infront of us, as software engineers, pharma experts, project managers, today. Sports meet is an amazing opportunity to meet all of you at one platform and exchange some thoughts on how to grow in this evolving professional world”.
This was followed by the participation of alumni in different types of sports, like cricket, volleyball, and 100-meter race. All the winners and participants were felicitated with medals and trophies during the felicitation ceremony.
Team Pharmacy evolved as the winner for cricket match. Mr. Rohit Tyagi, Mr. Ayush Singh, and Mr. Jatin Kumar were declared as the winner of 100-meter race (Men’s category), while Ms. Anchal Kushwaha was the winner in women’s category. Last but not the least, Mr. Shashank, Sahil, Aakash, Akshat, Abhinav and Anuj were the winners in volleyball match.
On this occasion, other teachers of the college along with the students of the MCA department also gave full support and motivated the alumni for maximum participation.
3-Day Cultural Fest at KIET Comes to an End

The Annual Intra-Institutional and Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest, Epoque@Prastuti, organized at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad on 2nd, 3rd and 4th March concluded last night with a Sunburn DJ night.
The cultural fest started with eleven institutional programs like Group Dance, Flash Mob, Nukkad Natak, Footloose, Skit, and Mime. As part of the Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest, the winning teams in these events then competed with different teams from different colleges on 3rd and 4th March.
The first day of inter-college level fest began with Kavi Sammelan by guest speakers, like Dr. Anamika Jain Amber, Dumdaar Banarsi, and Dinesh Devdhariya, while it ended with a live concert by Darshan Raval.
At the inter-collegiate level, a total of 39 teams participated enthusiastically in Band War, Group Singing, Street Play, Group Dance, Skit, And Fashion Show. Team Amritva from Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies was the winner in Band War, while on the other hand, Team Abhinay from Maharaja Agrasen College was the winner in Nukkad Natak. Team Folkia from KIET Group of Institutions and 'Verve Dance Crew' from Sri Venkateswara College secured the first position in Group Singing and Group Dance respectively.
The Director of the Institute, Dr. A. Garg, expressed his thoughts and said, “I would like to thank all the distinguished judges for allowing us to be their host and declaring absolutely fair results.”
The Convenor of the fest, Dr. Satish Kumar, thanked all the students, faculty coordinators and student coordinators, who made Epoque@Prastuti'23, a very successful and smooth-sailing event.

KIET Inaugurates Epoque Prastuti’23: The Biggest Annual Intra-Institutional and Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad is celebrating its annual intra-institutional and inter-collegiate cultural fest, i.e Epoque Prastuti on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th March. On Thursday, the institute organized the inaugural ceremony of the 3-day event, which began with the lamp lighting by the director of the institute, Dr. A Garg, in the presence of all the deans and HoDs.
This was followed by the unveiling of logo, and a series of performances that were well-themed along with a short-film.
Dr. Garg expressed his sincere gratitude to the organizing committee of the event for successfully pulling off such a mega-cultural event in a short span of time. He said, “I believe all the student participants will be performing at their best and will be giving a tough fight to the students participating in inter-collegiate fest.” “All the best to our KIETians”, he added.
The institute’s Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, too addressed the audience and mentioned that Epoque@Prastuti’23 was first organized in the year 2008 and has been organized since then. He also appreciated every member, who was responsible for organizing the grand fest and praised them.
The inaugural ceremony ended with the National Anthem and a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Satish Kumar, Convenor, Epoque@Prastuti’23.
This marked the beginning of a series of institutional events, such as Group Dance, Flash Mob, Nukkad Natak, Footloose, Skit, and Mime, wherein the college students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The participants and teams that stood as winners on this day will be competing against different teams from different colleges on 3rd & 4th of March, 2023.
According to the management committee, Star Night by Darshan Raval on 3rd March and Sunburn DJ Night on 4th March will add to the excitement of the intra and inter-institutional cultural fest.
The esteemed dignitaries, faculty members and the students were found praising the smooth coordination of the event.
KIET and ITS, Murad Nagar Organizes Health Camp on Maintaining Good Posture

KIET School of Pharmacy organized a “Health Awareness Camp” in collaboration with I.T.S Institute of Health and Allied Sciences, Murad Nagar on 25th February, 2023. The objective of this health camp was to spread awareness on maintaining good posture and to take medical consultation from the experts. People from nearby community, teaching and non-teaching staff, students from different departments actively participated in the camp.
The health camp began with the welcoming of the team from I.T.S by Prof. (Dr.) K. Nagarajan-Principal -KSOP.
The director of the institute, Dr. A Garg also addressed the healthcare team and said, “I would like to convey my best regards to the organizers, including the KSOP faculty members and healthcare staff from I.T.S Institute, Murad Nagar, for conducting a health camp on such an important concern among people from different age groups.”

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited Signs an MoU with KIET Group of Institutions

On 13 February 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, and KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, to enhance learning, training, industrial skills and career-building opportunities. The MoU was signed and exchanged by Mr. Pravin Agarwal, Chief Human Resource Officer, Tata Power DDL and Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET Ghaziabad. Mr. Anoop Nandi, Mr. Anoop Dhawan, Mr. John Edwin, Mr. Rajeev Chugh of Tata Power DDL, and Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Head and Dr. Brijesh Singh, Associate Professor of Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering KIET, were also present at the MoU signing ceremony. Dr. Brijesh Singh and Mr. John Edwin jointly coordinated the MoU exchange programme.
The objectives of the MoU included cooperation in manufacturing state-of-the-art machinery and research projects and setting up technical facilities and advanced laboratories. The MoU stipulated certificate courses, expert discussions, mentorship, specialized certification programs in innovative power distribution technology and human resource practices, and a "Special Digital Utility Professional Certification Program" for students and faculty of KIET. As part of the MoU, joint R&D initiatives in power engineering technologies and capacity building will be undertaken, and joint project proposals will be submitted to institutions such as DST, SERB, CST, and MoE. It is envisaged that the collaboration between Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, Delhi and KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad will provide a platform for improving power engineering and related disciplines. In addition, it is expected that this MoU will also play an important role in the "Capacity-building program" of the Government of India.
KIET Celebrates Its Annual Inter-Institute Sports Fest, Rann’23, With Full Boom

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized Rann’23, its Annual Inter-Institute Sports Fest on 10th to 12th February in the presence of renowned sports personalities. The 3-day event welcomed 1650 students from 27 different reputed institutions, wherein the teams competed against each other in 16 different sports genres, sub-divided in 50+ categories. Major sports played during the fest included Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Football. Being the 1st rank holder in 20+ sports categories, different teams from KIET bagged the winner title of RANN’23.
The event began with the unveiling of Rann’s official logo by the Chief Guest, Shri Ashok Kumar Ji (S/O Major Dhyan Chand Ji and International Gold medal winner in Olympics), Ms. Babita Nagar (International wrestler and Head Constable) along with all the other esteemed guests.
While sharing his thoughts with everyone at the event, Shri Ashok Kumar Ji told “It is a moment of sheer pride for me to be standing here on the biggest platform meant for young sports enthusiasts. I believe every person in this whole world, should play atleast one or two sports, in order to inculcate that unfading spirit of sportsmanship in oneself. Academics teaches how to prepare for career, while sports teaches the skill of living your life.”
The director of the institute, Dr. A Garg, thanked all the guests for being a part of the institute’s annual sports fest and said “We are honoured to organize Rann 2023, wherein a diverse range of teams have participated in various games and sports. This time, we have introduced Kabaddi for the very first time and next year, we’ll be back with an extravagant version of Rann with Shooting competition.”

KIET Organizes Two-Day Workshop on Research Grants and Funding

The Office of the Dean of Research and Development at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, successfully organized a two-day workshop on research grants and funding (writing, defense, and implementation of a grant proposal) recently. Dr. Rajiv Kr. Tayal, a recognized scientist (FNAE) and former Scientist for the Department of Science and Technology's Science and Engineering Research Board, served as the workshop's resource person.
The workshop began with the welcome remark by the Joint Director of the institute, Dr. Manoj Goel, who discussed about the value of grants for the research environment and expressed his admiration for those who work on supported research initiatives.
The Director, Dr. A. Garg, also shared his thoughts by saying, “Well-funded research will be highly beneficial for the young faculty members, so that they can concentrate more on their research.” “Research Grants are an important means to continue the expansion of the institution.” He added.

A one-day workshop on 'Space Technology', 'Drone Technology' and 'Automotive Mechatronics' was organized at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad on Saturday 28th January. More than 60 students from 6 schools actively participated in this workshop. All the participants registered for one of the three workshops, keeping in mind their area of interest and were divided into workshops accordingly.
The program began with an inaugural ceremony in which Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Head PR & International Relations, welcomed all the students and teachers and shared her inspirational thoughts.
The Director of the Institute, Dr. A. Garg was also elated to see the enthusiasm of all the participants. He told that “It is very important to take a calculative decision in life. Hence the aim of our institute has always been focused that we can help more and more school students to understand their interest areas in depth. I hope that after today's workshop the vision of all of you will be clear and you will be able to strengthen your focus for taking admission in all IITs, NITs etc.
Before the start of the workshop, Dean Research & Development, Dr. Vibhav Sachan, Dean IEC, Dr. KLA Khan and Head Mechanical Department & Automotive Mechatronics, Dr. Ashish Karnwal briefed the participants about their respective Centers of Excellence. Post that, all the three workshops started and all the students got a chance to learn something new.
The program ended with certificate distribution and vote of thanks, which was handled by Miss Neelam Rawat, Assistant Head PR along with all COE Heads and Faculty Coordinators.
KIET organized coding Competition " Codelock 2.0 "

KIET group of Institution's department of MCA organized a coding competition called " Codelock 2.0”. A total of 65 students of MCA's first year took part enthusiastically. The main purpose of Organizing the competition was to inspire the students to pursue coding on an online available platform.
At the start of the competition MCA Head of Department, Dr. Arun Youth Tripathi gave a welcome speech. He said that this competition was organized to further the coding culture and to give a healthy competition to the students. The future is going to change completely soon on the basis of technology. Sixth-sense technology, driverless cars, and many more are soon going to change the way of living. Students need the experience to bring all these changes”, he said.
The "Codelock 2.0" contest was organized on the HackerRank platform wherein students were provided with a set of 05 coding puzzles to be solved under pre-determined constraints.
Program Director Prof. Prashant Agarwal informed that the MCA department is also running a club for the students named codekar.com which aims to provide a competitive environment to the students to sharpen their programming skills. This creates an environment for competitions like online programming contests and national-level hackathons which act as a catalyst for project-based learning among the students.
The program ended with the declaration of results where Prof. Prashant Agarwal told that Pooja Kumari got the first position, Aditya Sharma got the second position and Dipanshi Sharma got the third position. Consolation prizes were received by Divanshu Agarwal and Ajay Singh Yadav.
KIET Gets Nostalgic with its Annual Alumni Meet Chapter, Delhi-NCR

KIET-Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) and KIET Alumni Association (KAA) jointly organized Alumni Week & Annual Meet at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad. The meet saw huge participation of around 300 alumni along with their spouses and children.
The program began with the lamp lighting by the institute’s Director, Dr. A Garg who welcomed the alumni to the campus and discussed KIET’s accomplishments in the last few years.
The Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel also addressed the crowd and expressed his astonishment at the endeavors of KIET alumni as prominent business owners, academicians, pharmacists, and software and management experts.
Dr. Binkey Srivastava, Head AEC, encouraged the alumni to stay connected with their alma mater, interact with the students and motivate them by sharing their career’s achievements.
Mr. Shivam Shukla, President KIET Alumni Association (KAA), and Mr. Kumar Gaurav-Vice President of KIET Alumni Association (KAA) addressed strategies to help alumni from all the batches to stay in touch with the alumni community.
Mr. Atul Singh, IES, and other prominent alumni-KIET shared their memories during their journey at KIET and assured their future association with the Institute. Distinguished alumni awards were distributed at the event to the notable alumni. The meet was organized to reconnect with alumni and keep them up-to-date on recent changes at the college. The program ended with a vote of thanks and a hope to meet the alumni again.
TBI-KIET Signs an MoU with Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd.

A Memorandum of understanding was made between Technology Business Incubator-KIET and Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd., including all its subsidiaries and affiliates, having its principal place of business at Estancia IT Park, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kanchipuram.
While Technology Business Incubator-KIET, is in the act of helping startup entities, early stage ventures and young entrepreneurs launch and scale innovative companies, Zoho is in the business of developing, marketing and selling its proprietary software and related services to its customers.
The underlying motive is to give impetus to the concerted efforts of startups in accomplishment of their goals. The salient features of the mechanism involved include the following:
- Zoho will offer wallet credits to the Startups that are associated with Technology Business Incubator-KIET to purchase Zoho Services subject to the prescribed terms & conditions, usage rights and limitations.
- Startups shall redeem the Wallet Credits to purchase suitable Zoho Services.
- Zoho shall be the point of contact for questions and clarifications from Startups relating to the use of Zoho Services.
- Zoho shall provide maintenance and support to the Startups with respect to their use of the Zoho Services in the same manner it provides maintenance and support to its other customers.
The MOU is expected to create much needed support mechanism to the startups and will result in enhanced performances in the long run.
Mega Health Camp in Collaboration with Fortis Hospital Successfully Organized at KIET Group of Institutions

KIET School of Pharmacy, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad organized a “Mega Health Camp” in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Greater Noida on 10 December 2022 to spread awareness among people about maintaining good health. Experts from different departments of the hospital, viz. Neurology, Gynaecology, Internal medicines, Orthopaedics, and Pulmonology visited the campus to provide medical consultation to the institute’s teaching and non-teaching staff, students and people from the nearby areas.
The health camp began with an inaugural speech by Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions. During his address, he focussed on the role and importance of health care professionals for the society.
The institute’s Joint Director, Dr Manoj Goel welcomed the physicians, surgeon and healthcare staff from Fortis Hospital Greater Noida.
Prof (Dr.) K Nagarajan, Principal, KSOP conveyed his gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the team of Fortis Hospital and facilitated them with gifts and mementos as token of respect. He also conveyed his gratitude to the management of the institute for their support in conducting the mega health camp at the campus. A total number of 250 registrations were recorded for health check-up in the camp.
The health camp was arranged and coordinated by Mr. Kapil Sachan-Asst,Professor,Dept. of Pharmacology under supervision of Dr Vaishali M Patil, Mr Sanjeev Chauhan, Mr. Praveen K. Dixit and other team members.
Discrimination Against Women Pakhwada Continues at KIET with Poster-Making Competition

The Department of Computer Science at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized a poster-making competition on the theme Discrimination Against Women. As the institute is observing Discrimination Against Women Pakhwada from 25th November to 10th December, the department involved all the CS students to portray their thoughts through posters and share an eye-opening message to the society that harassment or discrimination against women is a curse.
The competition began with the felicitation of the Head of the PR & International Relations Department, Dr. Preeti Chitkara, who was also the Judge for the competition. All the participants explained their posters and shared their thoughts on how this situation of sexual or gender-biased discrimination can be eliminated.
Ms. Jhalak Saxena (CS 2nd year) who was the winner of the competition explained the journey of a woman between the ages 10 to 12 and 22 to 24. Between 10 to 12, a girl is very vibrant, wears bright colors, feels carefree and looks forward to living a happy life. However, between 22 to 24, the girl is pressurized for tying a nuptial knot with someone with whom she doesn’t even have any kind of emotional attachment, she is asked to behave like an elderly so that the society accepts her, she is asked to remain quiet and so on.
Another participant explained two faces of a woman, wherein at one end, she is managing all the household chores, studying hard, winning competitions, etc, and at the other end, she is facing severe discrimination at workplace due to gender-bias, suffering due to no availability of childcare at workplaces, being forced into prostitution or being sexually harassed.
The competition was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar Shrivastava, HoD CS and Mrs. Arti Sharma, Assistant Professor and Women Cell Coordinator, CS Department).
TEDxKIET Women: An Idea to Recognize Your True-Self

TEDxKIET at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad successfully organized an event TEDxKIET Women-1st Edition on 9 December 2022 that left everyone with immense pleasure and enthusiasm.
The event was centered around the theme “अस्मिता - The Identity of Self," which encourages every woman to accept, love, and believe in herself just as she is.
The event commenced with the lamp lightening ceremony, followed by a welcome speech by Club President Sarah Handu, Dr Adesh Pandey (convener TEDxKIET) and other Dignitaries.
Subsequently, each of the eminent speakers illustrated the journey of their self-identity.
Eminent speakers were Captain Shivani Kalra (Pilot & Influencer), Chahat Anand (Food Blogger), T Reddi Lakshmi (Classical Dancer) who also gave an outstanding Kuchipudi performance, Mallika Mehta (Singer & Song-writer) and Sangeeta Gharu (Fashion Model), who encouraged the audience with their TEDx talks and shared the motto of TED, "Ideas Worth Spreading."
Ms Priyanka Srivastava (Senior Editor of TOI) joined the event as the Chief Guest. Apart from them, Dr. A Garg (Director), Dr Manoj Goel (Joint-Director), Jayarama Rao (Padma Shri Awardee) and all the dignitaries marked their golden presence as the guests of honor at the event.
Towards the end of the event, the team felicitated the speakers, sponsors and the entire team of TEDxKIET. The event culminated with a group photo with TEDxKIET team, Speaker and Guests as a token of memory.
The whole day witnessed unforgettable moments, performances, knowledge and experiences that led to new thoughts and expectations. It was indeed a bonafide experience with a classical blend of education, entertainment, and inspiration.
KIET’s Initiative to Show Youth a New Path

KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad recently organized two motivational events for newly admitted students of B.Tech first year. The event was conducted to spread awareness amongst the youth about the importance of entrepreneurship and to prevent addiction to tobacco consumption. An explanatory discussion about the importance of entrepreneurship was held at the college auditorium with full capacity of students. Whereas, the event on prevention from addiction to tobacco consumption was conducted via online seminar.
Explaining the importance of entrepreneurship, Mr. Sushil Aggarwal (Industrialist) threw light on the subject of cooperation and guidance of teachers in the development of life. He said that the modest and worshipable qualities of Shri Ram-Krishna are the gift of their gurus only. Mr. Aggarwal ji also advised the students to work hard in a planned manner for development.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Vice-Chancellor APJ AKTU Lucknow, Dr. Reena Kumar, Dr. O.P. Singh and Dr. Pawan Gupta addressed the online lecture organized on the side effects related to tobacco consumption. The speakers said that tobacco is a sweet poison, which causes loss of human vitality, oral cancer, reduced blood flow in the arteries of the heart, increased blood pressure, shortness of breath, abortion, etc. Can This addiction starts in adolescence out of curiosity or in the company of friends.
Both the programs were very beneficial for the young students. Dr. Amik Garg (Director of the Institute), Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwari (Dean), Dr. CM Batra, Dr. Rashid Ali, Dr. Vipin Kumar, Dr. Ekta, Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma and B.Tech first year students were present in the program.
Discrimination Against Women Pakhwada at KIET: An Effort to Curb Sexual Harassment

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, is observing Discrimination Against Women Pakhwada from 25 November – 10 Dec 2022. In these 16 days of activism, various activities like poster making, street painting, debates, role plays, skits, etc. are planned and conducted in different departments of the institute.
As a part of this Pakhwada, a workshop titled ‘Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013’ was organized on campus by the Internal Complaints Committee. The Co-Founding Partner of Vinay Pandey & Company, Advocate Vinay Pandey, was invited as the guest speaker along with the associate advocates of his company, viz. Mr. Ishan Kr. Dubey and Mr. Randhir Singh.
Mr. Pandey highlighted the rights, entitlements and responsibilities enshrined in this Act. The faculty members, staff members and students, who were the participants in this workshop were sensitized to the provisions of the POSH Act to provide a safe environment for women at the workplace.
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET Group of Institutions, addressed the gathering and told the participants about the ZERO TOLERANCE policy of the institute towards sexual harassment. He also emphasized the need for awareness of upholding women's dignity.
All the Deans, Heads and Functional Heads of the academic and administrative departments were a part of this workshop. The Chairperson of ICC, KIET Group of Institutions, Dr. Ritu Gupta, also reiterated the purpose of this workshop, which was followed by a vote of thanks by the ICC Member, Dr. Prarthana Srivastava, and the National Anthem.
27 Students of KIET Ghaziabad Became University Rank Holders: Rohan Khurana Received Chancellor's Medal

On Saturday, 26th November 2022, the students of KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad were felicitated by Hon'ble Smt. Anandiben Patel (Governor of Uttar Pradesh) at the 20th Convocation held at AKTU, Lucknow. The Chairman of Zydus Life Sciences was present at the event as the chief guest.
The list of university rank holders released by AKTU, for the session 2021-2022, included names of 27 students of the institute. Out of these, 13 students won 1 Chancellor's Medal, 6 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal and 6 Bronze Medals for their highest academic performance.
After the convocation, a felicitation ceremony was organized by the institute for all the meritorious students, wherein their proud parents were also invited. All the gold, silver and bronze medalists received cash prizes of Rs 50,000, 40,000 and 30,000 respectively in the presence of the Institute's Director Dr. A. Garg and Registrar Mr. Anoop Srivastava. Rohan Khurana (CSE Branch), resident of Modi Nagar, received a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh from the Institute to commemorate his achievement of receiving the Chancellor's Medal along with the Gold Medal.
Feeling elated, Dr. A. Garg said, “We are extremely proud of our students for achieving such great heights at such a young age. I salute the parents of all the students that they infused discipline among their children and inspired them to focus on their careers.”

Induction Program at KIET Group of Institutions Concludes with Frescos'22

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi- NCR Ghaziabad, conducted the Student Induction Programme from 1st November to 26th November 2022, which concluded with the celebration of FRESCOS’22 held on 26th November 2022 on campus. This programme was organized by B.Tech Second Year Students of all branches for their juniors in KIET Group of Institutions.
The program was inaugurated by the Institute's Director, Dr. A. Garg, Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goyal, Dean (B.Tech. 1st Year) Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwari and Associate Dean (B.Tech. 1st Year) Dr. C.M. Batra, with their best wishes. Dr. A. Garg said that “Student life is the most important phase of human life. Whatever we learn during this period, remains with us forever. Therefore, as a learner, always try to develop virtue, morality, innovation and human values, so that the overall development of self, family, society and nation can be ensured.
Dr Manoj Goel (Joint Director) also motivated the students and encouraged them to learn the values, gain technical knowledge, and keep their mind open to innovative ideas in the competitive era.
Various activities like dancing, singing, instrumental, Mr Fresher, Ms Fresher and Mr Talent and Ms Talent were organized by the Second year students for the new joinees. Mr Anjaneya Jaiswal was declared as Mr Fresher for the year 2022 and Ms Aradhana Tripathi was declared as Ms Fresher for the year 2022. Jagdeep Singh was declared as Mr Talent and Ms Nivea Tyagi and Ms Khushi Shakya were declared as Ms Talent. From B.Tech Second Year, Ira Nafees and Harshit Dwevedi were awarded with the Best Anchor prize.
All the faculty members, staff, students of First and Second enjoyed the event with full zeal and enthusiasm and cherished the moment fullest. It was the beginning of these new joinees in the institute, and they were warmly welcomed by second year students with full affection.
Tobacco Marshal Training Program Successfully Organized by KIET Group of Institutions

For Proctors, Rectors, and student members of the Ek Prays club, the KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR Ghaziabad held a Tobacco Marshal Training Program on the KIET Campus. The training emphasized the function of Tobacco Marshals and how they might influence social change. They received training on all elements of tobacco abuse, including the different smoking methods and tobacco-free alternatives like herbal cigarettes and herbal beedis that have been made available and promoted as quitting aids. Different solutions needed for effective intervention and mitigation, causes of tobacco use, kinds of smoking, such as SHS and THS, and their effects on our youth and the next generation were also covered.
Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Dean Academics, gave the opening remarks and welcomed the distinguished speakers, including Dr. Pawan Gupta (Founder ICanCare, Director Surgical Oncology Max Vaishali), Dr. Neeta Kumar (Scientist E ICMR), and Mrs. Sonal Bhatia (AC Member Inner Wheel District-310). Dr. Ahlawat focused on the significance of enforcing tobacco control policies in society. Dr. Pawan Gupta concentrated on how to deal with a person who is using tobacco; the talk with the person needs to involve and direct them toward helping him quit using tobacco. Additionally, emphasis was placed on safeguarding oneself and one's family, especially daughters, to prevent them from marrying a smoker and subjecting them to lifelong abuse.
With some much-needed relaxation techniques and helpful interventions, Dr. Neeta Kumar kept the audience interested. As TOBACCO MARSHALS, Minaxi Agrawal encouraged the participants while distributing hats and badges. Dr. Pravesh, Professor of the ECE Department, Chairperson, of the "Ek Prayass" club, gave a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, heads, faculty members, and students before the event came to a close.
Under the direction and leadership of Dr. A. Garg, Director, and Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR Ghaziabad, the Training Program ended up being quite effective overall.
KIET Group of Institutions Organizes a Grand Annual Inter-Institute Technical Fest "INNOTECH 2022-23”

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized the annual inter-institute technical fest “INNOTECH 2022-23” on November 18th, 2022 on the theme “providing solutions for sustainable development”.
Innotech-22 began with the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mr. Atul Garg (Vice Chairman, MLA Ghaziabad Legislative Assembly), Dr. A. Garg (Director, KIET Group of Institutions), Dr. Manoj Goyal (Joint Director, KIET Group of Institutions), and Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwari (Professor and HOD Civil).
Mr. Atul Garg was very happy to see the projects presented by the students. Expressing his enthusiasm, he said that “Innotech-22 organized in the premises of KIET is a unique way to interact with young talent. I have visited all the stalls and inspected the student projects and must admit that it is very difficult to declare any one project as the winner. Personally, I liked the project of glasses designed for Drowsiness Detection that one can use while driving and avoid accidents at night.”
More than 2000 students participated in the fest and altogether 595 projects and 200 posters were registered for Innotech 22. The event was organized at two levels. In the first level, the registered projects and posters were showcased at department-level exhibitions from November 12th to 15th, 2022. In the second phase/level, the three best entries were shortlisted from each department for the institute-level exhibition. These were then showcased in "INNOTECH 2022-23” on November 18th, 2022. In addition to this, around 350 students from 20 schools participated enthusiastically in the event and presented 35 projects.
At the institutional level, WASRUK in the environment category, Quadruped Robot in the economic and governance category, and Smart Summary projects in the social category got the first position.
With a project based on AI in agriculture, DPS Hisar bagged the first position. The second position was secured by two schools, viz. DLF Public School Sahibabad and Surevin International School, wherein these schools exhibited their projects on Astro Space and Mountain Accident Rescue respectively. The third position too had a tie between Parevartan School Ghaziabad and KL International School, Meerut. The students of these schools showcased their projects on Smart Dustbin and Medicare respectively.
Toward the end, Dr. A Garg, Dr. Manoj Goyal, all the Deans, and HODs congratulated the entire convening committee. Dr. Atul Kant Piyush, Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Mr. Siddharth Jain, Mr. Vinay Ahlawat, Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Miss Neelam Rawat, Miss Madhu Gautam, student coordinators, and faculty members contributed in making this program successful.
KIET Group of Institutions Organized the CII-MAJESTIC Event as a CSR Initiative

KIET school of management, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized the “CII-MAJESTIC SKILL-WILL-LEAD” event recently in the college auditorium. The program was a CSR initiative of Emirates Technology and was conducted with great joy and of course exultation. The event started with lamp lightning and welcoming the dignitaries. The Chief guest for the event was Mr. Mahesh Munjal, Director of Majestic Auto Limited. In the jury panel, the bigwig was Mr. Rohit puri, Mr. Romesh & Mr. N.K. Jalan. Mr. Puri is the youngest entrepreneur to provide an interior solution for corporate, hotels, and residential accommodations. Mr. Romesh is a trained chemical engineer & business manager, and Mr. Jalan is the director of super sales private limited and an advisor at Avenir management services limited.
Looking forward, different colleges gave their presentation and after the presentation, there was a Q/A round with the judging panel. KSOM gave its presentation on Online frauds and Risk management process and eventually KIET Group of Institutions secured second position and a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.
Through this event, the students gained a lot of knowledge related to their future endeavors.
A 2-Day International Conference Held On Campus By KIET School Of Management

The KIET School of Management (KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR) successfully organized the 7th International Conference on "Advances in Global Businesses, Economics, Finance, and Social Science" on November 11th and 12th, 2022, in collaboration with SWOSU (USA); Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology (Uzbekistan); and Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (India). Dr. Rajan Saxena, the founder of IIM-Indore and former vice chancellor of NMIMS University in Mumbai, served as the conference's chief guest. Other keynote speakers included Prof. Trisha Wald, J.D., associate dean at SWOSU in the United States, and Mr. Mamatkarimov Odiljon Xundadayevich, rector of the Namangan Institute of Engineering & Technology in Uzbekistan.
The distinguished guests were greeted by Dr. (Col) A. Garg, Director of the KIET Group of Institutions, Dr. R. Srinivasan, Hod-MBA and Conference Chairman, and Dr. Binkey, Additional HOD-MBA, who also presented a virtual bouquet.
More than 200 research papers were submitted, out of which 109 papers were accepted and presented by national and international delegates from the United States, Dubai, Uzbekistan, and all throughout India, according to Dr. Srinivasan, HOD-MBA, who also welcomed the audience and guests. These papers were delivered in 12 technical sessions, each of which was presided over by a distinguished academician or researcher from a different reputable organization.
Dr. Srinivasan also presented his views by pinning his focus on 'How drastically the pandemic has changed the Global Markets in terms of their operations'- delineating the same he also discussed 'How we are seeing a multipolar world with China becoming the hugest manufacturer.’
In his speech, Dr. Amik Garg, Director of the KIET Group of Institutions, emphasized the change in consumer behavior brought on by recent market upheavals and innovations. Dr. Odiljon Mamatkarimov, Rector of NIET in Uzbekistan, spoke on the value of international cooperation and how it may be used to address global challenges. Dr. Rajan Saxena, the chief guest, discussed the abrupt change in the venue and stressed the rising dependence on the internet, e-commerce, and the digital economy. He emphasized that "consumers now are more empowered than before" and "companies today must make extra efforts to match the customer expectations."
Dr. Yogesh Suman, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-NISTADS, Mr. Robert Moore Bernardos, Director Global Affairs, FNG Consulting, Rome, Italy, and Dr. Hardeep Saluja, Professor from SWOSU, USA, were invited to the ceremony's farewell. Dr. Hardeep stressed the developments in international business and the contribution of management education to these developments, as well as the relevance of India's contribution to the transformation of the world economy. When the COVID time is finally over, Mr. Robert Bernardos concentrated on the value of student orientation in achieving global expectations. Dr. Yogesh emphasized the significance of technology and how the transfer of technology is beneficial for advancing humankind and the world economy.

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized the 3rd International Conference on “Issues and Challenges in Intelligent Computing Techniques (ICICT-2022) technically co-sponsored by IEEE UP Section on November 11th and 12th, 2022. This two-day conference brought together prominent academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to discuss their expertise and research findings on all issues and challenges in the field of Intelligent Computing Techniques.
The event began with the lamp lighting by the Chief Guest Dr. Rajendra Kumar Anayath, Vice Chancellor, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology. During his address, he appreciated the efforts of all the researchers in the field of research.
After the lamp lighting, there was the welcome speech of Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions, who welcomed all the guests and also focused on the importance of intelligent computing Techniques used in the current industry.
Dr. Adesh Kumar Pandey, Dean of ITS also shared his views on the role of AI and Intelligent computing techniques.
Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Additional Director/Scientist-E (Cyber Laws & E-Security) Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, Mr. Abhishek Gupta CIO, Dish TV, and Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, KIET Group of Institutions were also present at the event among the panel of esteemed dignitaries.

Visit by International scholars at KIET Institute

Recently, 2 international events were organized with great pomp in the premises of KIET Group of Institutions located at Delhi NCR Ghaziabad.
The first day began with the International Education Fair attended by University representatives from California State University, Wichita State University and 8+ community colleges from USA. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Sangeeta, Director/Principal of Parivartan Global School, Rajnagar Extension. Apart from these, teachers of many other schools and students of 9th to 12th registered their presence in the institute. Not only this, all the students met the university representatives and asked many questions about their higher level education and expressed their curiosity to know the career options.
Similarly, the second day began with the Bicape Earth Biggest Interactive Knowledge Exchange Program which was inaugurated by the Joint Director of the Institute, Dr. Manoj Goel and the Founder of International Internship University (IIU), Piyush Pandit by lighting the lamp. In this program academicians from Comoros, Georgia, Malaysia, Romania, Belgium and Serbia provided all the students of the institute with enlightening information about the future of engineering and international internship opportunities.
The aim of both the programs was to prepare the students for a better tomorrow. All the students and faculty members attached with the PR & International Relations Department of the institute handled both the programs very well.
KIET Organised a Workshop on ‘ORIGAMI’

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR Ghaziabad organised a workshop recently on ORIGAMI under the guidance of the Department of Applied Sciences and ISTE student chapter-KIET. The main goal of the workshop was to initiate personality development among the students of B.Tech 1st year and to learn various theorems and formulae of mathematics such as Pythagoras theorem, algebraic expressions, value of pi and many more, through paper folding technique.
Dr Shailendra Kumar Tiwary, Dean B.Tech I year and Dr.C.M.Batra, Associate Dean B.Tech I Year & Convener ISTE student chapter-KIET welcomed the International Speaker Mr K. K. Dixit, specialized in Learning and Fun with Origami (is Retd Deputy Commissioner Sales Tax, Government of U.P.). Dr Madhusudan, ex- professor of IIT Kanpur, Dr Ritvija Dixit, Professor in Sarswati Institute of Medical Sciences Netra Jyoti hospital were also present.
Shri K.K. Dixit ji explained and made various models by folding the origami sheets to explain the mathematical results and many shapes. Students enjoyed the workshop with full enthusiasm.
All the faculty members coordinated the workshop with full zeal to make it successful.
KIET Organized Poster Making Competition to Spread Mental Health Awareness

KIET School of Management at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized a Poster Making Competition recently to celebrate World Mental Health Day with the college students. The topic of this competition was “Mental Health – A Global Priority” and was organized to spread awareness about the importance of mental health among the students.
Dr. Meenakshi Tyagi & Dr. Punjika Rathi were present in the competition as adjudicators, who judged the participating teams on the basis of idea, creativity, and presentation. 15 teams in total participated in this competition, out of which 3 teams, viz ‘The Exclusives’, ‘Fantastic Fours’, and ‘The Eagles’ secured the first, second, and third position respectively.
Dr. R Srinivasan, HoD, KSOM, who was the Chief Guest for this competition, applauded the management skills of the students’ team along with Assistant Professor, MBA, Ms. Ankita Sharma, who made this event successful and smooth-sailing.
The competition gave students a chance to showcase their creativity and understanding in spreading the message among the student fraternity about prioritizing and addressing the problem of mental health, as it is assuming pandemic proportions in causing more harm to the humans than any other disease.
KIET organized Alumni Chapter Meet in Bengaluru

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, recently organized its Alumni Chapter Meet in Bengaluru in collaboration with Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) and KIET Alumni Association (KAA). Nearly 150 alumni participated in the event along with their spouses and children. The meet was organised to reconnect with alumni and keep them up to date on recent changes at college.
The event took place at Hotel Holiday Inn (Race course, Bengaluru), wherein the program started with a welcome speech for the alumni. The Head of AEC, Dr. Binkey Srivastava, invited the dignitaries of the institute, viz. Mr. Sarish Aggarwal (Chairman), Mr. Sunil P. Gupta (General Secretary), and Dr. A Garg (Director). In her address, she described the process of AEC and KAA's formation and encouraged the alumni to always stay linked with their alma mater.
The Director also discussed all the changes and accomplishments made by the institute in the recent few years. The Honorable management, i.e. Mr. Sarish Agarwal and Mr. Sunil P. Gupta addressed the crowd and expressed their astonishment at the endeavours of KIET alumni as prominent business owners, academicians, pharmacists, and software and management experts. Mr. Arvind K. Sharma (Head-CRPC), Mr. Kamal Kant Sharma (Associate Head-AEC) and Mr. Ankur Bhardwaj (DPC-CSE) shared the placements and achievements of the institute with the alumni. Shri Shivam Shukla, KAA President, and Shri Vinod Kumar, KAA Secretary General, addressed strategies to help alumni from all batches keep in touch with the alumni community.
Few of the alumni also shared their memories during their journey at KIET and assured their future association with the Institute. The event was a great success and turned out to be a very memorable event for all.
KIET Group of Institutions Organizes Awareness Seminar as Part of World Space Week

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized a One Day Seminar on 07th October 2022 to celebrate the World Space Week on the topic “Applications of Satellite Remote Sensing in Agriculture, Weather Prediction, Urban and Rural Planning”. While the seminar was organized by the Centre of Excellence for Space Technologies under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at KIET, it was sponsored by Indian Space Industry Exhibitors (ISIE), Ghaziabad, and Regional Remote Sensing Centre - North, National Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO. More than 200 participants attended this seminar, whose prime motto was to spread awareness among faculty members and students for Space Technologies and their impact on every individual's life on earth.
The event began with the lamp lighting ceremony by the honorable director of KIET Group of Institutions, Dr A Garg, who in his welcome address, proudly boasted about the students of KIET, who have submitted several papers related to space research in Scopus Index and have also participated in MAPATHON that is a map-making competition jointly organized by AICTE, ISRO, and IIT Bombay. He further elaborated his futuristic vision where he hopes to promote space tourism and also collaborate with NIT Kurukshetra to achieve more funds and success in the field of Space Technologies.
The seminar proceeded ahead by Dr Vibhav Kumar Sachan (Dean R&D, HoD ECE) with a welcome speech. He revealed that our Indian government is working with “Gati Shakti Yojna” to develop the infrastructure of India, which is never possible without the imagination of Remote sensing using Satellite and its Integration with AI and ML.
Prof. (Dr.) Brahmjit Singh (Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dean Planning and Development, NIT Kurukshetra Regional Coordinator, Regional Academic Centre for Space (RAC-S) A Joint Initiative of ISRO and NIT Kurukshetra) graced the event with his warm presence as the Chief Guest. During his address, he focused on the need to increase the accuracy of weather predictions through the use of Space Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Along with the seminar, a Space Exhibition was also organized for school and college students, wherein various space-related models were displayed, including the model of GSLV, Mars Orbiter Mission, and Cryo Engine. Dr. Khushboo Mirza (Sr Scientist, NRSC ISRO) took the charge of explaining about different space technologies to the students. KIET School of Pharmacy organizes World Pharmacist Day (WPD-2022)

KIET School of Pharmacy (KSOP) organized World Pharmacist Day (WPD-2022) on the theme “Pharmacy United in Action for a Healthier World” on 24th September, 2022 in KSOP Auditorium. The Chief Guests of the WPD-2022 were Dr. A. Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions; Dr. Satish Kumar, Dean-Student Welfare and Prof. (Dr.) K. Nagarajan, Principal, KIET School of Pharmacy.
Prof. (Dr.) K. Nagarajan welcomed the Director of the institute, Dean-Student Welfare along with all the faculty members and students. He started his deliberations by providing students with a brief introduction to the noble profession of Pharmacy from the Vedic era to present and the contribution of famous pharmacists in the world. He also talked about the 7 code of Ethics and expressed his gratitude towards students and teachers for their presence at the event.
Dr. A. Garg extended his warm welcome to all the delegates, faculty members, and students. He discussed with students about their profession uniqueness and their bright future prospects in relation to the health care sector and for well being of society. He also congratulated Principal- KSOP and Mr. Praveen K. Dixit (Coordinator-WPD-2022) for the meticulous planning and smooth conduction of World Pharmacists Day-2022.
Dr. Satish Kumar discussed about the key importance of pharmacists. He said, “Pharmacist is the only person who provides you medication support and information beyond the time limits.” He also shared his experience of intellect of the pharmacist where he went to take a medicine from the pharmacy where the pharmacist advised him to take an alternative salt that is more suitable for him and cheaper in price too.
The inaugural ceremony ended with plantation by delegates, faculty members, and students. In this event, several competitions were organized for students such as label designing, debate competition, oral presentation and quiz competition. More than 200 students participated in all competition categories. On this auspicious day, students were also felicitated with the Best Students Pharmacists Award-2022, Academic Topper, Minor Specialization Star Performers, Value added course Topper. At the end of all the technical events, Valedictory Ceremony was organized, wherein all the winners received Certificates of achievements and trophies and all the registered participants received Certificates of Participation.
The program ended up with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Praveen K. Dixit followed by a Group photograph and National Anthem.

In this program, the students expressed their gratitude to the fourth-grade employees through their humble words for keeping the college hygienic and clean and at the end of the program, everyone was given refreshments with their own hands. Fourth Grade Employees were very happy to receive the respect from the students.

KITE Organized The Closing Ceremony of Hackathon-2022 Grand Finale

Kite Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized the closing ceremony of Smart India Hackathon-2022 Grand Finale. Running from 25 to 29 August 2022, this grand finale is acclaimed as the biggest open innovation model in the world.
Smart India Hackathon, a nationwide initiative was jointly organized by the Innovation Cell, AICTE, Persistent Systems and I4C, Ministry of Education. The All India Radio and Doordarshan Media are involved in this initiative as partners and AWS as a sponsoring partner.
On account of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav festival, 75 Nodal Centres were selected out of which KIET was nominated by Innovation Cell of MoE and AICTE as the only Nodal Center in Uttar Pradesh for Hardware Edition.
On the first day of inauguration I.e. August 25, the inauguration took place in two parts, one at the local level (in the campus of KIET) and the other at the central level at Galgotias University, with Prof. Dignitaries like Anil D. Sahasrabuddhe, President, AICTE, Dr. Subhash Sarkar, Hon'ble Minister of State for Education, and Dr. Abhay Jere, CIO, MoE Innovation Cell. Similarly, Dr. Chanchal, Scientist E-DRDO, New Delhi, Ms. Pooja Rawat (officer appointed by Innovation Cell of MoE), Shri Ashish Johri, Member Secretary Research Board (ARMREB), Ministry of Defence, New Delhi were present at the Institute on the inaugural day and they addressed the audience with their insightful thoughts.
Total 15 teams had participated in the event, working on 4 problem statements provided by 2 organizations, namely, Coal India Limited, and the Department of Food and Public Distribution (Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution). Out of 15 teams, 4 won the competition, with Team Srijan 2.0 winning under the category of making censored work clothing. Team Phantom Troop 1 emerged as the first in the category of prototyping a solar powered IoT device.
There was a tie between the teams Hexa Titan and Chemistry First. Both teams got first place in the category of finding a scientific method to determine the age of food and boiled rice. Similarly, there was a tie between Team Technotrans and Night Hackers. These teams won under the category "Artificial Intelligence Enabled Agriculture, Food and Public Robotic Stacker for Mechanized Distribution Loading/Unloading of Food".
Dr. Kunwar Laik Ahmed Khan, Dean IEC, KIET Group of Institutions told the media that during the prize distribution ceremony, all the winning teams were rewarded with an amount of Rs.1 lakh. “We also held mentoring sessions on each day of the event, along with leadership talks and fun sessions like Yoga and Zumba. The sessions were organized at the campus by Mr. Shivam Dixit, Founder and CEO, IOTFY, and Mr. Sushil Kumar Agrawal, Chairman and Director, Avro India Ltd.
Dr. Nalin Kumar Srivastava, Joint Director, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, who was present as the Chief Guest at the event, mentioned that “Don’t worry about the results, you are all winners. All the 15 teams present at the event are the future entrepreneurs of India. If we want to create a multimillion-dollar economy, we have to rely on innovation. Through such hackathon events, we are imbibing the nature of innovation and entrepreneurship, and the day is not far when we will be able to create an innovation-driven society.”
Addressing the participants and the honorary guests at the event, Dr. A Garg, Director, Institute said, “The frequency of such hackathon events should be increased so that funding opportunities for private institutions can be increased.
To promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, we established TBI-KIET (Technology Business Incubator) in our institute in 2017, and we invite all 15 teams and their respective institutes to join with TBI-KIET under 2 schemes want to do Through the schemes 'Nidhi Entrepreneur-in-Residence' and 'Nidhi Prayas' we will help the students to create their own start-up by providing funds up to Rs.10 lakhs."
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director of the Institute expressed his thanks and gratitude to Dr. Kunwar Laik Ahmed Khan, Dean IEC, and Mr. Ashish D. Thombre, Assistant Professor EN and Center Head, SIH, for the successful completion of this five day programme.
During the concluding session, Dr. A. Garg felicitated Ms. Pooja Rawat, all the jury members as well as other dignitaries present in the program. The Grand Finale of SIH 2022 concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Ashish D. Thombre. Hero MotoCorp Placement Drive organized at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organized a placement drive for the employment of the students of skill development center in Mechanical Engineering Department. This skill development centre in the Department of Mechanical has been developed in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp and Automotive Skill Development Council. The objective of this skill development centre is to establish employable skills among the needy and economically backward students. Before the commencement of the programme, Hero MotoCorp officials met the successful students of the first batch of Hero Skill Development Centre and encouraged all the students.
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati by Dr. Amik Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions. Congratulating the students, he said that at this center, there are many opportunities for skill development not only for these students, but also for engineering students. He urged Hero Group that in future, courses related to electric vehicles can be conducted in this skill development center, which will increase awareness and understanding of new technology among the students. He spoke in detail about the changes in the technology of 2-wheelers in the last 30 years.
The students were also addressed by the officials of Hero Moto Corp, mainly Shri Rakesh Nagpal, GM, Hero MotoCorp, DGM Shri Debkumar Dasgupta and others. He gave information about the new technologies of the automobile sector. Shri Rakesh Nagpal described that this 3-month course in Automotive Skill Development is going to impact the students in their next 35 years. At the same time, Mr. Debkumar Dasgupta discussed about the outcome of the MoU between Hero and KIET Institute has the noble impact at various levels of society. Dr. Ashish Karnwal, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, while expressing gratitude to all the guests, talked about promoting such centers in future so that the vacancies in employment can be filled through self-employment. For this placement drive, NCR dealers interviewed all the students and selected all of them for their dealerships, praising the skills of all the students. At the end of the program, Dr. Ajay Singh Verma presented a vote of thanks to all. These awards, authorized by AICTE, in association with YourOneLife and Heartful campus, are meant to recognize the happiest institutions in India, and KIET was one of them.
Being overwhelmed, Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions, said “Happiness drives a good character, mental health, and resilience. Ghaziabad: KIET Group of institutions in collaboration with the Department of PR & International Relations and Quizzinga (The Quiz Club of KIET) organized a two-day inter-school quiz competition entitled “Manthan” on August 17th and 18th, 2022 wherein 120+ students from 30+ teams from different states of India participated and won exclusive awards and gifts.
The major highlight of the event was Team MBCN from Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan School, Noida, that is a school for specially-abled students. Teams from this school participated in a special segment of quiz and volunteered for rap and singing performances too. One of the teams won the special quiz and a cash prize of Rs. 2100 along with goodie bags.
The event was inaugurated by the thought-provoking speech of Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions. He addressed the problems and challenges of skill development and employment in India that requires a bond between school, college and the industry. “The Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) or the percentage of students belonging to the eligible age group enrolled in higher education is 27.1% in 2019-20, which has seen a rise from 26.3% in 2018-19 and 24.3% in 2014-2015” he added. To increase it, we have to focus on school students and inspire them for higher education.
Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director shared views on 75th Independence Day and connected the event with all-inclusive development of country. The National Education Policy (NEP) is to be implemented both in schools and colleges with skills development and outcome-based learning. He thanked the esteemed sponsors, Prithvi Abhyudya Association India (PAAI), Mr. Vikas Nagru from Brain Infinity and Mr. Sushil Khare, Director, Make My School Trip.
Mr. Vikas Nagru delivered an impressive talk on Tune Your Brain that was appreciated by all in the event. Similarly, Mr. Komal Mehrotra delivered a lecture on Career Counselling.
Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Head PR & International Relations, extended cordial welcome to all the students, their teachers, and the team members and coordinators of the event. She insisted on quality education and skills required for a successful placement. She along with the management and leaders of the institute congratulated the winners of the national quiz event, The Mavericks from Dewan Public School, Meerut, Oak Grove School, Mussorie (Runner-Up Team 1) and K.L International School, Meerut (Runner-Up Team 2) that won a cash prize of 11K, 7K, and 5K respectively. The chief guest Mr. Sumit Kumar Kasana, Manager IOCL & Alumnus, KIET graced the valedictory session and blessed the students with his words.

Inauguration of Smart India Hackathon 2022 Grand Finale at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad has been selected as one of the nodal centers to facilitate the Smart India Hackathon Hardware edition from 25th to 29th August 2022. This event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), Persistent Systems, and i4c. Doordarshan and All India Radio are the media partners, while Shell and AWS are the sponsoring partners of SIH 2022.
As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, AICTE and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell identified 75 incubators/ higher educational institutes as the nodal centers to host Smart India Hackathon and conduct the event in a well-organized manner; KIET was one among them.
The inaugural day began with the lamp lighting and worshipping of Goddess Saraswati to bless the participants in solving the complex problem statements given to them. This was followed by a brief welcome address by Dr. A Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions, who seemed to be truly fascinated by the talent of the students, as he said “Youngsters shape the future of the nation. Therefore, I believe that every student must progress in the field of product innovation, so that we, the Indians, can shape and nurture problem-solving, innovative, and creative minds, right from the school level.”
All the dignitaries present at the event were felicitated, including Dr. Chanchal, Scientist E-DRDO, New Delhi, who was the Guest of Honor and Ms. Pooja Rawat, who is designated by the MoE’s Innovation Cell at the institute to monitor the proceedings of the Grand Finale. At the institute’s level, Mr. Ashish D. Thombre, Assistant Professor EEE, is designated as the centre head who will be managing the tits and bits of the grand finale event.
As per the reports shared by the institute, total 18 teams having approximately 85 participants are competing against 4 problem statements from 2 organizations, viz. Coal India Limited, and the Department of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution. Some of the teams that visited the campus include Tesla Team, Srijan 2.0, Robogyan, Knight Hackers, Hexa Titans, Panaceaaa, and Gen Z-Coders.
Mr. Ashish Jauhari, Member Secretary Research Board (ARMREB), Ministry of Defence, New Delhi, who visited the institute as a Chief Guest, told the audience that hackathon is a mixture of hack+marathon that helps a true engineer to understand how a system’s application works. “SIH is an event that encourages young minds to solve complex problems and explore new technologies”, he added. Finally, he congratulated KIET Group of Institutions for being the sole nodal centre for hardware edition in UP.
The Joint Director of the institute, Dr. Manoj Goel also boosted the morale of the participants and congratulated the in-house team, especially Prof. Kunwar Laiq Ahmad Khan, Dean IEC, under whose guidance and supervision, a grand event, like SIH, could be pulled-off with great ease.
After the local inauguration, the institute connected to the central inauguration, wherein Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, in his address, extended a warm welcome to all the chief guests present at all the 75 nodal centres, along with the media persons, participants, and their faculty coordinators. He also thanked all the nodal centres for providing accommodation and other facilities to the participants travelling from different corners of the country to their respective campuses. He concluded his speech by advising the participants to focus solely on how to solve the problem statements provided to them.
The central inauguration ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, MoE Innovation Cell, while the local inauguration ended by presenting a memento to Mr. Ashish Jauhari (the Chief Guest) by the Hon’ble Director of the institute. All the Deans, Heads, Functional Heads, and Faculty Coordinators extended their warm wishes to the participants.

KIET Group of Institutions Hoists National Flag in 5 Villages

Under the guidance of AICTE and Dr APJ AKTU Lucknow, UBA team KIET Group of Institutions hoisted the National Flag (on 25 houses in each village) in all five UBA adopted village, to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with the village residents.
The UBA coordinator, Dr. K. P. Mishra, KIET Group of Institutions, told that activities like these are very crucial for strengthening our commitment to nation building.
All the UBA team members, including Prof. Anuj Pathak, Dr, Rajeev Kumar, and Prof. Aayush Kumar made sure that the “Har Ghar Tiranga Program” gets conducted in all the villages in a very smooth manner. Also, they encouraged the Gram Pradhan and residents of each village to participate and cooperate wholeheartedly.
KIET Group of Institutions Organizes Two Workshops on Outcome-Based Education

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad organized two workshops on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices on its campus from 01 – 05 Aug and then from 08 – 13 Aug 2022.
The phase – 1 & 2 of the workshops were organized in the conference hall of the placement cell, in order to train their newly joined faculty members. This initiative helps the new recruits to adopt the best OBE practices of the institute in their teaching-learning process. The OBE practice is essential in teaching learning for global recognition, opportunities and employment. It is mandatorily required to be practiced for accreditation of different programs and the institution. All the Engineering, Computer Application, Management, and Pharmacy programs of KIET are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), which is a pathway across the boundaries of a country. It is reported that the foreign Universities and Employers, on a global scale, recognize various programs running at KIET. Therefore, the young KIETians (students) get internship/ career opportunities across different parts of the world. This has become possible because NBA, India has become a permanent signatory of Washington Accord since 13 Jun, 2014.
Both the phases of the workshops on OBE practices were conducted successfully by the esteemed members of the OBE team of Dean Academics, which include Dr. Atul Kant Piyoosh (Associate Dean) and Dr. Yaduvir Singh (Assistant Dean). In the inaugural sessions of the workshops, Dr. A Garg (Director) addressed the audience and motivated the participants by advising them to work in a forward manner and adopt a First Time Right (FTR) approach. Also, he emphasized the role of a faculty member to adopt the institute’s best OBE practices in the true sense. Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director), Dr. Anil K Ahlawat (Dean –A) and Dr. Shailendra K Tiwary (Dean B. Tech. 1st Yr.) extended their warm wishes to participants and the in-house resource persons, comprising deans and professors from different departments.
In the closing ceremony of both the workshops, certificates were distributed by dignitaries to all the participants, based on their attendance and performance in the assessments. Honorary Captain K. P. Singh (Administrative Officer), Mr. Sunil Vashishtha (Purchase Officer), Mr. Siddharth Jain (Asst. Prof. – Civil) and team members of IT Operations supported in the smooth conduction of the workshops.
KIET Group of Institutions Hits a Record of 95.03% Placement

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad achieves a record-breaking 95.03% placement score in 2021-22. It is indeed a moment of celebration for the institute that believes in its motto – ‘Connecting life with learning’. Reports convey, that over the year, 350 companies visited the campus for various placement drives, wherein 1492 students faced the interview panel and grabbed 2300 job offers. Some of the big names include Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, Cisco, and American Express. The highest package offered to a student is reported to be 48.40 LPA. Further, the average package for the top 100 students is recorded to be 21.28 LPA, whereas the overall average package is 7.25 LPA.
According to Mr. Arvind Sharma, Head of Corporate Relations & Placement Cell (CRPC), “We have a range of CTC Terminals, wherein 22 students achieved the 2nd highest package of 44.14 LPA, 3 students bagged the 3rd highest package, i.e. 29 LPA, and 14 students grabbed the 4th highest package of 27.86 LPA, he further added.
The Joint Director of KIET college, Dr. Manoj Goel, also expressed his happiness and congratulated the team by saying “I can visualize that in the coming few years, the CRPC team is going to put-in more efforts in placements so that our talented students get a smooth hike, right from the initial stages of their career. Our success is directly proportional to the success of our students and we feel really proud that they are adding more feathers to our cap; Excellent results for Excellent efforts by the Excellent team. Keep it up.”

KIET Group of Institutions organized Endeavor and INNOTECH 2022 to promote Start-up Ecosystem through Innovation & Entrepreneurship

KIET Group of Institutions organised the 8th edition of the Annual program Endeavour on the theme Giving Back to State, an event by Students club E-Cell working in Innovation & Entrepreneurship and the flagship annual program INNOTECH an event for the students to showcase their innovative ideas that can be converted into product/prototype on 20th and 21st May 2022.
The inaugural ceremony for Endeavour-Innotech-2022 was organized on 20 May 2022. Shri Arvind Kumar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, IT & Electronics Dept., Govt. of U.P. was the Chief Guest. Shri Atul Garg, Chairman TBI, KIET & Hon’ble MLA, Ghaziabad and Shri Kumar Vineet, IAS, Special Secretary & MD, UPLC, Govt. of U.P. were the Guest of Honour for the ceremony. Shri Aakash Sinha, CEO & Founder Omnipresent Robot Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was the Special guest for the event. Dr. A.K. Garg, Sr. Director, MietY, Govt. of India and Shri Sandeep Tiwari, Professor Incharge, Incubator Hub, AKTU, Lucknow graced the occasion as distinguished guest. All the guests were happy to see the enthusiasm of the students and they wished for a successful future of the students.
Innotech-2022 focused to promote the innovation of the participants by demonstrating their Innovative Models/Prototypes/Poster presentation. 33 projects and 30 posters were selected for the final round. Many renowned industrialists and eminent academicians were invited as judge for the event. Endeavour-2022 focused on creating a network of successful start-ups & entrepreneurs want to contribute to the state to attain its goal to be $ 1 Trillion Economy by 2027 and provided an opportunity to the participants to interact with successful start-ups, professionals, policymakers and the successful incubators who have established their Enterprise in various TBIs.
Hon’ble Chief guest, Shri Arvind Kumar emphasised start-ups and wished to achieve a target of around 100 start-ups in the current year, at least one in every district. He also informed that the government is coming forward to support the private institutions. He added that they are creating Centres of Excellence in UP that can support and cater to each small and big need of the upcoming start-ups and generate an ecosystem and move into the industry from north to south. The Government is coming forward to give funds to upcoming start-ups like Defence, Electrical Vehicle making and other fields.
Shri Atul Garg, Chairman TBI, KIET & Hon’ble MLA took the opportune time to request the honourable guests to request the government to connect DRDO with the institutions that are working on innovation. He also shared that maximum push of technology into defence and motivate youth to use it to experiment and prepare defence related projects and ideas are to convert into reality.
Shri Kumar Vineet, IAS, Special Secretary & MD, UPLC, Govt. of U.P. said “Fail, if you have to succeed” is the basic idea behind being the best start up. No need to fear failures. He gave a glimpse of how IR is doing in UP and shared that Govt of India is working to make everything digital and thereby bringing transparency to the govt working.
Shri Sandeep Tiwari, Professor Incharge, Incubator Hub, AKTU, Lucknow announced KIET as nodal centre for innovations and entrepreneurs on behalf of VICE Chancellor AKTU.
Shri Akash Sinha shared that the drone industry has atleast 1 Lac jobs opportunities in the coming times. He even invited the students of KIET to take up courses from his centre and equip themselves for these opportunities.

‘Go Global’ With KIET Group of Institutions: International Education Awareness Week IEAW 2022

Ghaziabad: KIET Group of Institutions: The Department of PR & International Relations at KIET Group of Institutions organized an International Education Awareness Week followed by Fair from 25 April to 29 April 2022. The International Education Awareness Week commenced on 25th April 2022 in the auditorium at KIET Group of Institutions, an initiative taken under the guidance of Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Head PR & International Relations, to inspire the students to go global and gain exposure to education abroad. Many eminent speakers were invited to share valuable information on how to inspire students to study abroad. The main objective of the event is to create awareness about the international opportunities in higher education, Internships and foreign languages by guiding them through the correct pathway, highlighting the means to make them global citizens.
It was a week-long International Education feast, that revolved around Why go global or think of Internationalization, What’s the need to learn Foreign Languages and which one to choose, how to prepare ourselves for international Higher Studies, how to crack International Internship and the last day experienced the most important one on one interaction with the representatives of foreign universities in the Education fair.
On the last day, i.e. 29th April 2022, a grand International Education Fair, was organized by the Department of International Relations on KIET Campus. The students from all the Departments of the college systematically interacted and had all their doubts clarified by the team of experts. The inauguration of the fair was done by our Director, Dr (Col.) A Garg and Dean Academics, Dr Anil Ahlawat in the presence of our guest School Principals & students, Faculty Co-ordinators Team and students who were eager to get-in and get informed.
The fair was adorned by a plethora of foreign universities including Cape Breton University (CBU) Canada, University Of California, Riverside, National College of Ireland, Maynooth University, Ireland, Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland, Prifysgol Aberystwyth University, Wales, University of Wolverhampton, England, Middlesex University, London, University of Portsmouth, England, Keele University, England, La Trobe University, Australia, The University of Queensland, Australia and Deakin University, Australia. The counsellors for Education in USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia and others were also present to guide the students.
The director, Dr A Garg was brimming with pride when he appreciated the efforts of Team PR & International Relations and said, “In 2019 when we started with our first IEAW ie. International Education Awareness Week followed by fair, we never imagined that we will come so far and host so many foreign Universities on our campus and students will gain so much exposure through these awareness sessions and the Fair. A good number of students have paved their ways to international studies and internships since we have initiated these efforts and I believe more and more students will take up the opportunities to fly abroad, learn from there, come back and serve their country. Thereby let’s go global but act local.”
At last, the students thanked the consultants for letting them to know about the procedures and the exams to be written to study abroad and the various universities and destinations they can apply for. Dr Madhu Gautam and Ms Neelam Rawat along with Mr Vinay Ahlawat, Mr Sunil Vashishtha, KP Singh ji, Dr Babita Singh, Ms D Blandina Miracle, Mr Prashanth Vashishtha, Ms Garima, Ms Ankita, Mr Rochak Bajpai, Dr Minakshi Karwal, Mr Pravin Dixit, Mr Hemant, Mr Himanshu Agarwal, Mr Mayank Tyagi, Ms Shivani and Ms Shweta, the coordinators were commendable. The student coordinators played the most vital & active role in realizing the event.
The fair was a grand success, very informative and revived the spirits of the students in fuelling their dreams to study abroad. Overall, it was a whole-some experience and a great eye-opening week.

Electrical and Electronics Engineers have already extended their strong arms and proved their prime presence in various essential domains such as Automation & Robotics, Aero Space technology, Defence Research & Development Organization, signal processing, Automation and Control, Telecommunication, Electric Vehicles, Embedded system, Electronic components of computers and other tools, Industrial Controls, Network Equipment, Telecom Equipment, Medical Equipment, Radios, Computers, Smart Phones, IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Integrated Chips and yes the -list is endless. In general, Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ presence and need is ever-increasing to meet the variegated needs of the consumers in India as well as abroad. Life is indispensable with Electrical and Electronics Engineers. All industries will come to a halt if Electricity is exhausted. Being Electrical engineers, we help and support billions of people on a day-to-day basis.
