Dr. S.J.K Jagadeesh Kumar is the Head of the CSE department at Kathir College of Engineering. He has around 25 years of academic experience. He has done Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. He has published a total of 53 journals at the national and international level.

Additionally, they are exploring projects related to Crime Rate Prediction, utilizing data analysis and machine learning techniques to forecast crime rates based on historical data patterns. One of the major challenges I face in uplifting the quality of education is the immense need for dynamic and modern lab equipment and software. The field of computer science is constantly evolving, and it is essential for our students to have access to the latest tools and technologies. However, acquiring and maintaining state-of-the-art lab equipment and software can be financially demanding. Additionally, keeping up with the rapid advancements in technology requires regular upgrades and updates, which can further strain our resources. Overcoming this challenge requires seeking funding opportunities, establishing partnerships with industry leaders, and leveraging alumni support to ensure our students have access to the best possible learning environment.


What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

I strive to create a supportive and conducive learning environment where students can flourish. This involves providing them with academic guidance, career counseling, and personal support. I believe in patient listening, understanding their individual needs, and addressing their concerns effectively.my goal is to help students navigate their academic journey successfully and prepare them for a rewarding future in the field of Computer Science.
