Important Guidelines for Students

  • Special Merit Eligibility: To qualify for the 100% Tuition Fee Waiver, students must rank in the top 2000 of the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), the top 100 of the CMI Entrance Exam, or have qualified for the Indian National Olympiads (INO) training camps.
  • Achievers’ Merit Criteria: 150 scholarships offering up to 100% fee waivers are available for those with 98% and above in CBSE/ICSE Board exams (Class X and XII) combined with a strong performance in the Ashoka admissions process.
  • Science Major Restriction: The Special Merit Scholarships are exclusively reserved for students pursuing majors in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics.
  • Need-Based Support: Students can apply for financial aid based on family income, assets, and loans. Even merit scholarship winners remain eligible for additional need-based assistance.
  • Documentation: Applicants must be prepared to share detailed financial resources of their immediate family, including savings, investments, and current income, for the assessment process.

What Should Students Do Next?

  1. Check Eligibility: Students should verify if their JEE Main percentile (98%+) or Board scores meet the specific criteria for merit categories.
  2. Review the Form: It is highly recommended that candidates click to view the Need-Based Scholarship Sample Form on the official website to understand the required documentation.
  3. Apply for Admissions: Scholarship awards are linked to the holistic admissions process, so students must first complete their Ashoka University Undergraduate Application.
  4. Seek Clarification: For any specific doubts regarding the portfolio, students should write to ug.scholarships@ashoka.edu.in.
