KEA has already released the KCET 2026 answer key on May 10 and is expected to declare the KCET 2026 result by May 20 to May 25.
Candidate can download their KCET scorecard 2026 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in using their application number and the first four characters of their name.
- KCET result 2026 date is expected between May 20–25, 2026; KEA typically holds a press conference at around 11:30 AM and activates the result link by 2:00-3:00 PM on the result day.
- The scorecard will contain subject-wise CET marks (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology), 2nd PUC qualifying marks, overall rank, category rank, and qualifying status.
- Rank is calculated on a 50:50 weightage: 50% from KCET exam marks and 50% from standardised 2nd PUC board marks.
- In 2025, the KCET result was declared on May 24, 2025, which is 37 days after the exam. The overall pass percentage was 88.36% with 2,75,677 qualified candidates.
- After the result, KEA will release the topper list, seat matrix, verification slip, and open KCET 2026 counselling registration (expected August 2026).
Note: The KCET 2026 result declaration is subject to the completion of the 2nd PUC examination results. KEA has officially stated that CET results will be announced only after both II PUC results are declared.

The KCET 2026 Scorecard / Rank Card will be a downloadable PDF containing the following key information:
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Candidate Name | As registered in the application form |
| CET Application Number | Unique registration ID |
| Subject-wise CET Marks | Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology (out of 60 each = 180 total) |
| 2nd PUC / QE Marks | Standardised marks from board exam (50% weightage) |
| Kannada Language Test Marks | Only for Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadigas (qualifying test) |
| Overall KCET Rank | Merit rank for Engineering / Agriculture / Pharma / Veterinary |
| Category Rank | Rank within the candidate's reservation category (SC/ST/OBC/GM) |
| Qualifying Status | Qualified / Not Qualified |
| Reservation Details | Rural / Kannada Medium / Special Category flags |
The KCET 2026 rank is calculated on a 50:50 weightage basis : combining your CET exam score and your 2nd PUC board marks. Here's how it works:
| Component | Weightage | Out Of |
|---|---|---|
| KCET Exam Score (PCM/PCB) | 50% | 180 |
| 2nd PUC / Class 12 Board Marks | 50% | 300 (standardised) |
| Combined Merit Percentage | (CET% + Board%) ÷ 2 | |
Example:
- If a student scores 150/180 in KCET (83.33%) and 280/300 in 2nd PUC (93.33%), their combined KCET merit score = (83.33 + 93.33) ÷ 2 = 88.33%.
- Separate ranks are released for Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, and Pharmacy streams.
KEA does not set a fixed minimum score for KCET, but here are the key qualifying thresholds candidates must be aware of:
| Category | Minimum CET Marks (out of 180) | Minimum 2nd PUC % |
|---|---|---|
| General / GM | No minimum set by KEA | 45% aggregate |
| SC / ST / OBC | No minimum set by KEA | 40% aggregate |
| Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadigas | Minimum 12/50 in Language Test | 45% |
Note: Admission cutoff (closing rank per college/branch) is entirely different from qualifying cutoff and is released after counselling. For CSE at top colleges like RVCE, the expected closing rank is under 500 for General category in 2026.
