KCET 2026 Results Expected by May 28; KEA Counselling Begins in June

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is expected to announce KCET 2026 results by May 28 or 29. Higher Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar confirmed the timeline, though results could arrive as early as May 26, 2026.

A scheduled re-examination on May 24 in Hiriyur following a malpractice incident will cause a one to two-day delay. KEA officials are processing data rapidly post-re-examination to ensure students access scores without prolonged waiting.

How to Download KCET 2026 Scorecard Once Out?

Visit the official KEA website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea or kea.kar.nic.in. Log in using your application number and first four characters of your name to access your scorecard instantly.

Candidates must have their KCET 2026 admit card, Aadhaar card, and 10th/12th marks cards ready. Keep xerox copies of relevant certificates and caste certificates if applicable for counselling verification.

KCET 2026 Counselling Process

After result declaration, qualified candidates must register for counselling using their CET application number. The process includes document verification, option entry, mock allotment, and multiple rounds of seat allocation.

Aspirants aiming for agricultural science courses must note that Agricultural University exam scores will determine their admissions. KEA is coordinating with Agricultural University for seamless data integration.

What’s Next for Students

Students should prepare their preference list using previous year trends and cutoff data. Research colleges, courses, and branches thoroughly to make informed choices during option entry.

The mock round helps candidates understand the allotment process without affecting final results. Students can modify preferences between mock allotment and round one to optimize their chances.

Once results are declared, counselling will commence in the first week of June with registration and document verification. Multiple rounds of seat allotment will follow, leading to final seat confirmation and college reporting.
