New Delhi: An official from the National Medical Commission (NMC) has clarified that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will not be conducting the National Exit Test (NExT) exam. This clarification comes in response to a fake notification circulating, which falsely claimed that the NExT exam would be held in the second half of this year.

It is important to note that the NExT exam will not replace the NEET PG exam for admission to various postgraduate medical courses in colleges nationwide.

Dr. Rohan Krishnan, an orthopedic surgeon in New Delhi and an adviser to the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), initially shared a notification along with a tweet, stating that the information was true according to sources. However, it was later discovered to be fake.

NMC has now denied ownership of the questionable letter and they will hopefully release a statement to this effect very soon.
We believe that steps will be taken to ensure that letters are watermarked/hallmarked to prevent any such abuse in the future. https://t.co/YkOjdI1GpP

He mentioned that the NMC had disowned the controversial letter and expressed the expectation that they would release a statement regarding the matter soon. He further expressed hope that measures such as watermarking or hallmarks on official documents would be implemented to prevent future instances of misuse.

The Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) also shared a tweet, urging the NMC to take necessary actions to prevent such fraudulent attacks.

Fake/ edited OR NOT, @NMC_IND owes a clarification to the students to settle their nerves and the ensuing nchaos.

What if at a later date they deny that it wasn’t fake?

“Sources say so” will no longer work.

We NEED SOMETHING substantial!
And strict measures to avoid fake…
