Computer-assisted medical imaging technology plays a crucial role in modern clinical environments, as medical diagnosis and treatment are increasingly supported by imaging procedures. Consequently, there is a growing demand for specialists in this field, situated at the intersection of computer science and medicine. The dynamic field of biomedical computing, thus, combines computer science with aspects of biology and medicine. A master's in Biomedical Computing qualifies graduates for a range of exciting careers in research institutes or industry, in both theoretical and application-oriented fields.?

There are no tuition fees per law in Germany.In order to study at TUM you do, however, have to pay the student union fee and a solidarity contribution for the Semester Ticket.

There is zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 147.40€ ( 154.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.


Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Students should hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or electrical engineering (or a related subject). In addition, you will need to prove you have the following skills:

  • A solid understanding of mathematics at an advanced level
  • Knowledge of a modern programming language (e.g. C++, Java, Python, Fortran)
  • Very good English language skills.

Sir/madam i am preparing for goethe b1 exam for german language proficiency, but now i am bit confused after seeing the requirements of this course, is DSH exam only accepted for german language proficiency or certificates from goethe are also acceptable?

The Technical University Munich (TUM) accepts both the Goethe Zertifikat B1 and the DSH exam as proof of German language proficiency for their programs.

Yes, you need to submit the GRE score. You must have a bachelor’s degree (requiring at least 6 semesters of study) or equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a closely related field might be preferred, or a comparable program at a German or foreign university. English Language Proficiency Score IELTS - 6.5 | TOEFL: 88 | PTE: 65 along with other admissions requirements.
