  • The campuses that university has are distributed throughout Freiburg, the technical faculty is in one place, which has all the engineering courses, other places have law, medical, geology, teaching, music, etc.
  • The university has a very big library in the city centre, and also there is a small one for the technical faculty; we can use both of them. The university also offers gym and some sports activities, I don't know many details about it, as I'm not involved in it

The university has a number of campuses for bio, economics, etc, which are located in different areas of Freiburg. The library is very huge and is always crowded. You can find events, study tours, and workshops happening on your website, which cost around 0-40 euros. Each year, the university hosts a technical fest during the summer, offering food and beverages for which you can volunteer as well.

Overview

My time at university was a transformative journey filled with both challenges and triumphs. It was an environment that fostered growth, encouraging me to push beyond my academic boundaries. Engaging with diverse peers and inspirational faculty, I gained not only a wealth of knowledge but also a deeper understanding of global perspectives. The hands-on experiences and collaborative projects prepared me for real-world challenges, instilling skills and confidence. Overall, my college years were a blend of rigorous academic pursuits and enriching personal development.

I would say that it's exciting and challenging and the infrastructure is top notch. There are also a lot of systems in place to support international students. There are a lot of possibilities for one to advance as a student and as a professional. The courses are not easy and one would require a fair bit of self-discipline.

The campus life is just chill and have a good atmosphere but yes not to forget that German people are quite reserved but are really nice by heart once you know them. But sometimes you might feel a bit lonely here due to the silence. The research facilities is tremendous in Germany itself and there are many research institutes like Fraunhofer, Maxwell, etc.

The campus infrastructure is quite good. The University library is quite fancy and at the center of the city. A lot of people go to the library to study but most things are available online and people do not generally use books that much in my field. The city is lively in general so you can find extracurricular activities that do not have to be part of the university as well.
