Ques. Is the SNAP syllabus the same as the CAT syllabus?
Ans. The syllabus for SNAP and CAT are quite similar because both exams test the aptitude for MBA admissions, but there are few differences.
- SNAP focuses on General English, Analytical and logical reasoning, and Quantitative, Data interpretation and Data sufficiency.
- CAT also covers Quant and verbal ability but has a higher weightage on RC and Data interpretations with longer and tougher sets.
- SNAP is usually easy compared to CAT with straightforward questions and shorter passages.
Ques. Does SNAP include Reading Comprehension/
Ans. SNAP generally reduced the reading comprehension questions in recent years. The general English section focuses on vocabulary, grammar, fill in the blank, synonyms/antonyms, and verbal reasoning (para jumbles, analogies).
SNAP focuses more on accuracy and speed.
Ques. What are the most important topics in quantitative aptitude for SNAP?
Ans. Important topics in quantitative aptitude in SNAP include arithmetic, modern math and geometry etc,.
To score well in SNAP, focus heavily on Arithmetic (percentages, profit and loss, time, speed and distance, ratio and averages) and Modern Math (Permutations and combinations, Probability). Geometry, Algebra and number systems are also important, but Arithmetic has the high weightage.
Ques. Is the SNAP Syllabus the same for all 3 test attempts?
Ans. Yes. The broad syllabus of SNAP and the sectional distribution across the syllabus remains the same for all 3 sessions. SNAP syllabus has divided in 3 sections
| Sections | Number of questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| General English | 15 | 15 |
| Analytical and logical reasoning | 25 | 25 |
| Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency | 20 | 20 |
