Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has released the MICAT 2026 exam dates for Phase 1 and 2 on the official website mica.ac.in. Candidates can register for MICAT 2026 (I) from September 2025 to November 20, 2025 at 11:50 pm. Here is the breakdown of MICAT 1 Dates 2026:

To be eligible for GE & PI Rounds, you have to clear the Psychometric test. It will assess your behavioral and psychological traits before you attempt aptitude test in the MICAT exam. Using the MICAT Psychometric Test, the institute determines whether a candidate is a good fit for the programme or not. The questions in the Psychometric Test section may have two or more options among true or false. Answers marked by a candidate in each question will help analyse candidate's readibility to pursue the PGDM course from MICA Ahmedabad.
After that, your XAT/ CAT/ GMAT Scores and MICAT scores will be considered. At last, your scaled score will be calculated. If qualified, you will receive a call for GE & PI Round. MICAT 2026 Admission will be based on XAT/ CAT/ GMAT Scores, MICAT Scores, and GE & PI Round.
There are only 180 seats that are to be filled through the process of counseling, so students must be focused once the merit list is released by MICA Ahmedabad. There are two ways of selection:
- 10% of the seats are filled on the basis of “spot allotment”
- Step by process of seat allotment through central counselling.
What is MICAT?
MICAT is an entrance test conducted by Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad for admission into PGDM-C (Post Graduate Diploma in Management Communications) and PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) courses. The exam is conducted in two sessions- MICAT 1 and MICAT 2 across 48 MICAT Exam Centers in India. Candidates appearing for MICAT are mandatorily required to appear in one of three exams- CAT/XAT or GMAT.

MICAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, with the 10+2+3 system, or equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- They must also have valid scores of any one of the national level management tests, namely, CAT, XAT or GMAT onwards to be eligible for MICAT 2026.
- Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the test.
- Foreign Nationals/ NRI’s need to have a valid GMAT score (600+) taken after 2012 and a passport.
MICAT 2026 Registration
MICAT- I Application Form was made available from September to November 20, 2025. Phase 2 will be released from November 25 to January 29, 2026. MICAT Application process can be completed in online mode only.

MICAT 2026 Admit Card
MICAT I Admit Card will be available for download on December 4, 2025 and MICAT II Admit Card will be available on January 22, 2026. MICAT 2026 Admit Card can be downloaded till the exam day in online mode only from the official website – mica.ac.in. The steps to download the admit card of MICAT 2026 is given below:

MICAT Marking Scheme 2026
The total marks of the MICAT paper are not declared by MICA Ahmedabad. There is no negative marking for Section 1 and Paper 1 of Section 2. Paper 2 and Paper 3 have 25 percent negative marking in case of wrong answers.

Most candidates enrolling in PGDM-C do not hold any prior work experience (39%). This is followed by candidates with 13-24 months of experience (28%). Candidates with an experience of 61-72 months is mere 1%.
Scholarships at MICA Ahmedabad
MICA Ahmedabad started offering scholarships from 2014 onwards. This was to encourage the students of lower income groups to apply to MICA Ahmedabad and its programmes. MICA Ahmedabad Scholarships are awarded based on the students overall academic performance and family income.
The criterion for selection is based on:
- Students academic performance and class attendance record
- Family Background
- Family Income not exceeding Rs. 5 lacs per annum
- Scrutiny of Income-Tax Returns and Bank Statements of previous years
- Other achievements
The Selection Process involves:
- Notification & Announcement among students inviting applications

In all 11 Scholarships are awarded which include 5 from the PGDM(C) – 1st Year, 5 from the PGDM(C) 2nd Year and 1 from the CCC programme. Each account for 30% of the annual fees per student in the programme. The total funds set aside for this noble cause is INR 20-25 lacs with each of the 11 students chosen standing to receive INR 2.00/2.25 lacs (approx.) by way of scholarship.

MICAT 2026 Result
- MICAT 2026 Result will be declared three times, twice after the MICAT written tests and the final result after the GD & PI rounds.

Ques. If I gave MICAT 2026 ( I ) exam in December 2026, then do I have to write MICAT ( II ) also, or only one exam is valid?
Ans. Better of the two MICAT 2026 Scores are considered. A candidate may choose to write both MICAT I & II.
