In SNAP, both your exam score and percentile matter for getting admission into Symbiosis MBA colleges. Since the SNAP 2025 is over, as per experts, the score vs percentile will be similar to the last year.

For top colleges like SIBM Pune and SCMHRD, you need a very high score. A score of around 47.75 marks can give you about the 99.96th percentile, which is good enough to get a call from these colleges.

  • For top Symbiosis colleges like SIBM Pune and SCMHRD, a score between 45 and 50 marks (97 to 99+ percentile) will be required.
  • For other good Symbiosis colleges like SIBM Bengaluru, SIIB, and SIOM Nashik, a score of 35 to 40 marks (around 85 to 90 percentile) will be enough.

As the SNAP Exam 2025 is over, the final percentile will be decided after evaluating all three test slots, so your percentile may change based on other candidates’ performance.

What is SNAP Score vs Percentile?

SNAP score is the raw marks you get after taking the SNAP exam. Based on how all candidates perform, this raw score is then converted into a percentile, which shows your rank compared to other test takers.

The SNAP exam is conducted in three attempts, and the best score is used for percentile calculation. Most Symbiosis MBA colleges use the SNAP percentile as the main criterion for shortlisting candidates for GD-PI rounds.

SNAP Score vs Percentile FAQs

Ques. What is the method to compute SNAP percentiles?

Ans. SNAP percentiles are calculated by comparing the number of candidates who scored equal to or below a particular score. The formula used is:

Percentile = (Number of candidates scoring ≤ your score ÷ Total number of candidates) × 100.

Your position among all test-takers determines your percentile, not just the raw marks.

Ques. What factors influence SNAP percentiles?

Ans. Many factors affect SNAP percentiles, like:

  • The overall difficulty level of the exam
  • Performance of candidates across all three sections.
  • Number of test-takers
  • Distribution of high-scoring students.

Ques. How Do Slot Differences Affect Score vs Percentile?

Ans. Slot differences impact percentiles because each slot can vary slightly in difficulty.

  • If a slot is easier, more students score higher, increasing the competition for top percentiles.
  • If a slot is tougher, even moderate scores can translate into higher percentiles.
  • Normalisation ensures fairness, but the relative performance of candidates in each slot still affects final percentiles.

You can improve your chances of getting into a top Symbiosis institute by performing well in the SNAP 2024 exam, and in the Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI) round. The cutoff for SNAP 2024 is not yet released.  I have listed below the expected cutoff percentile of SNAP 2024 for the top 5 Symbiosis Institutes: Name of institute Expected SNAP Cut Off 2024 (Percentile) SCMHRD, Pune 97 SIBM, Pune 98 SIBM, Bangalore 90 SIIB, Pune 93 SICSR, Pune 82 Here are some tips to study for SNAP 2024, in order to score a high percentile: Understand the Exam Pattern: SNAP has three sections, namely, Verbal Aptitude & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. Make yourself familiar with the questions asked and the marking scheme. For this, use previous years’ papers. Strategize a good Study Plan: Give more time to the sections which you find yourself weak in. Study for short spans, but be very consistent in your study time. Don’t spend all your day in just one section, allocate time to every part so that you do not become overwhelmed by studying the same things.  Take Mock Tests Regularly: By practising mock tests you’ll become habitual to the exam pattern, and your time-management skills will also improve. Regular Revisions: Revisions are a great way to brush up on your learnings and to avoid stress once the exam date is near. Stay up-to-date on Current Affairs: Current Affairs aren’t an important part of SNAP, but staying up-to-date on recent developments may help you answer comprehension passages in the Verbal Aptitude section.  Practice Time Management: Try to solve practice papers within the stipulated exam time for SNAP. When you sit for the SNAP exam, do not waste a lot of time on a question you don’t know the answer to, instead, come back to such questions once you finish the rest of your exam.  With hardwork and consistency, you’ll surely score a high percentile in SNAP and get admission into a top Symbiosis Institute for your MBA degree. ...Read More
