NERIST NEE 2024 exam pattern: The exam is conducted in offline mode via OMR sheet. The exam pattern for all NERIST NEE 2024 exams is different along with different marking schemes. For NEE-I exam, there will be three sections of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for 150 marks. NEE-II and III question paper patterns are different according to your academic qualifications.
All three NERIST NEE exams have negative markings of 1/4th of the total marks. The medium of NERIST NEE 2024 question paper is English. NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 Marking Scheme
NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 contains questions with either 1 mark or 2 marks weightage. There is also a provision of negative marking in the test.
Let us understand the marking scheme of NERIST Entrance Exam 2024:
- A question in NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 can be of either 1 mark or 2 marks; the weightage of each question will be clearly stated in the question paper.
- For every incorrect answer, marks equal to 1/4th of the value of that particular question will get deducted.
- There is no deduction for questions not attempted.
For Questions Having Weightage of 1 Mark:
- For every correct answer, 1 mark will be added to the total score of the candidate.
- For every incorrect response, 0.25 or 1/4th marks will be deducted from the total score candidate.
- No marks will be deducted from the total score of a candidate for not attempting a question.
For Questions Having Weightage of 2 Marks:
- For every correct answer, 2 marks will be added to the total score of the candidate.
- In case of an incorrect response, 0.5 or 1/4th marks is deducted from the final score of candidates.
- No marks will be deducted from the total score of a candidate for not attempting a question.

NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 Instructions for Filling OMR
Candidates appearing in the NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 need to carefully check these instructions while attempting the paper in the OMR sheet.
- Candidates also need to carry their stationery on the day of the exam.
- Match all the particulars including question paper, OMR sheet no., etc. before proceeding to answer any questions.
- Calculator or log tables are not allowed in NEE I. However, the same can be carried for NEE II and III.
- Don’t carry a mobile phone or any communication device inside the exam hall.
- Read instructions carefully on the OMR sheet before attempting any questions.
- Don’t leave any unnecessary stray marks on the OMR sheet.
- Partially filled circles will not be considered as a valid response from the applicants.
- Since this exam has negative marking, candidates must answer questions with care and must not use guesswork.
- In case, any candidate is caught indulging in any unfair means, the candidature is liable to be rejected.
