KEAM Rank List 2026: Download Steps, Category Wise List, and Tie-Breaking Rules

The KEAM Rank List 2026 has been released on June 26, 2026, by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, at cee.kerala.gov.in. The rank list, initially expected on June 20, was postponed to June 26 to accommodate CBSE revaluation results announced on June 21.

The KEAM engineering rank list is prepared using 50% weightage to the KEAM score and 50% weightage to Class 12 marks, with a total score calculated out of 600.

• Students who submitted their Class 12 marks on time and scored at least 10 normalised marks in KEAM are included in the rank list.
• The KEAM rank list is used for the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP), which allocates seats in engineering, pharmacy, architecture, medical, and allied courses.
• Separate rank lists are published for Engineering, BPharm, Architecture, Medical (NEET-based), and Agriculture/Allied courses.
• In 2025, around 1,48,146 students registered for KEAM 2026, making this the most competitive year yet.
• The rank list also includes category-wise ranks for SC, ST, SEBC, OBC, EWS, and PwD students alongside the general merit rank.

What is the KEAM Rank List 2026?

The KEAM Rank List 2026 is an official merit-based list published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.

• The KEAM rank list ranks all eligible students who appeared in KEAM 2026 and submitted their qualifying exam marks.
• Your position in the rank list determines which colleges and courses you can apply for during KEAM counselling.
• The rank list is different from the KEAM result scorecard.
• The result scorecard (released on May 12, 2026) shows only your normalised entrance exam score.
• The rank list, released later, factors in your Class 12 marks as well and assigns you a final merit rank used for seat allocation.

KEAM Rank List 2026: Release Date

The KEAM 2026 rank list was released on June 26, 2026, after being postponed twice from its original date. Higher Education Minister Roji M. John directed the delay to give CBSE students adequate time to submit revaluation marks following the CBSE Class 12 revaluation results on June 21, 2026.

KEAM Category-Wise Rank List 2026

CEE Kerala publishes separate category-wise rank lists alongside the general merit rank list.

• Your category rank is different from your general merit rank - both are mentioned in the rank list and are used for seat allotment under the respective reserved quota.
• Students who belong to a reserved category but are ranked high enough in the general merit list can also compete for open merit seats.

How to Check KEAM Rank List 2026?

You can check your KEAM 2026 rank from the official candidate portal at cee.kerala.gov.in. Your rank is available under your login - it does not appear as a standalone public PDF.

Note: Keep multiple printed copies of your KEAM rank card. It is required at every stage of the CAP counselling process, including option registration, document verification, and college reporting.

How is the KEAM 2026 Rank Calculated?

The KEAM 2026 engineering rank is based on a final index score out of 600. This score combines the normalised entrance exam performance and standardised Class 12 board marks. Here is how the calculation works:

KEAM Index Score (out of 600) = Normalised KEAM Score (out of 300) + Standardised Class 12 Score (out of 300)

• The Class 12 component uses marks from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• If Chemistry weren't studied, it would be replaced by Computer Science, Biotechnology, or Biology (in that order).
• Class 12 marks are standardized using the Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation to ensure fairness across different school boards.
• KEAM entrance scores are normalized across multiple sessions using the Percentile Interpolated Average Method to eliminate variations in exam difficulty.
• For BPharm, the rank is based solely on your KEAM entrance score.
• This score is calculated out of 300 using a specific formula for Physics and Chemistry marks.

KEAM Tie-Breaking Rules for Rank List 2026

When two or more students obtain identical total index scores, CEE applies a defined tie-breaking sequence to determine who gets the better rank.

The tie-breaking process is applied in strict order - the next criterion is used only if the previous one does not resolve the tie.

• Higher pre-normalised score in Mathematics in the KEAM entrance exam - the student with more marks in Mathematics gets a better rank.
• Higher pre-normalised score in Physics in the KEAM entrance exam.
• Higher pre-normalised score in Chemistry in the KEAM entrance exam.
• Higher standardised Class 12 marks in Mathematics - the student with better board performance in Mathematics is ranked higher.
• Higher standardised Class 12 marks in Physics.
• Older in age - the student who is older (earlier date of birth) is ranked higher.
• If the tie still remains, the decision of CEE will be final.

This sequence ensures that students who are stronger in the core subjects most relevant to engineering - Mathematics first, then Physics, then Chemistry - are rewarded in the event of a tie.
