BCom from DU: Admission Process

The Admission Process is purely based on the CUET examination. The applicants are shortlisted and selected based on marks secured in the CUET exam.

B.Com Eligibility in DU

To be eligible to apply for the CUET-based DU BCom admission must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates should have passed the Class XII Board exam in India or any foreign country which has a 10+2 system.
  • Applicant should have passed each subject individually
  • Applicants under UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories can have admission based on merit and entrance-based methods

BCom Hons DU Eligibility

  • An average of 45% marks within the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates must have studied and passed Mathematics/Business Mathematics.
  • A percentage of 40% or more in English/Hindi and a combination of the three best subjects (Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics, and Commerce)
  • Including any subject from List B apart from subjects written above to calculate the combination of the best three will cause a deduction of 1% per subject on the percentage.
  • Including any subject aside from those in Lists A and B to calculate the combination best three will cause a deduction of two 2.5% per subject on the mixture of the Best Four.

BCom from DU: Application Form

Each candidate is required to fill out an application form for taking admission to B.Com DU. It should be noted that students should check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form as they will not be given admission if they don't meet the requirements and a refund of the application form is not possible under any circumstances.

When will the DU BCom application form be available?

The tentative dates for the availability of the application form for the DUET are mentioned below.

  • The Application will be present on the DU Admission Portal.
  • The Application form for Undergraduate courses based on the Merit List is expected to be available in August 2025.

Documents Required

The documents mentioned in the below points are required for the application form.

  • Passport size picture and signature(Should be in JPEG/JPG format without exceeding the size of 50KB and dimensions of 2x2 inch)
  • 10th Board Result for confirmation of date of birth(size should not exceed 150KB)
  • 12th Board mark sheet (Candidate can provide self-attested mark sheet if one has still not been provided from the board) 
  • Caste Certificate(should not exceed 150KB)
  • Pay Certificate (for OBC-NCL) (If applicable)
  • Game Certificate(s) for the most recent three years (If applicable).
  • Extra Curricular Activities Certificate(s) (If applicable).
  • Up-and-comer's Personal, Qualifications, Guardians, Communications, and different subtleties.

How to Apply?

The following steps should be followed to fill out the application form for B.Com DU.

Online Registration

  • Under UG Admissions select the option “UG Admission Portal-Click Here” 
  • Make a new account by filling in your fundamental details, for example, Name, Email ID, Password, Mobile Number, and so forth

  • An email will be sent to you to authenticate your account
  • Click on the link received in the Email ID and affirm your record.

  • Log in with your credentials and click on “Continue” after going through the guidelines
  • Fill the application layout with your personal, educational, course applying, communication, bank, and other details
  • After submitting the details click on “Next” after you are done checking the details. 
  • Select the option “Do you wish to apply for Merit Based courses”
