Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for B.com in tourism as I love travelling and want to explore the world. This course was one step towards my dream and I've heard about the faculty of mukand lal college from my friends that they were extremely good so I choose this subject at this college. Classes were well organised as each class had a maximum of 30 students and classrooms were well maintained will proper air conditioning and digital equipment for students. The faculty was well experienced and educated with a lot of patience to handle every student properly. Most of the teachers were highly qualified with at least a masters degree and they were updated with the latest technology to explain to students about the course in a more practical way. They spend extra time with students to clear their doubts and questions. There was a semester system that happened twice per year mostly exams were in May and November. The concepts of subjects were very clear so I never struggled to appear in exams and to pass them

Campus Life:

A fest name ' The Great Outdoor Event' was conducted every year at the college. This event has been hosted since around the 1950s after few years of establishment. It was conducted in September and was very special for every student who wants to showcase their talent in sports or acting. I had participated in a 200 metre race and won a silver medal twice. There was a huge library at the faculty which was full of books from ancient time till date. There were ample journals of Hitler, Akbar, Jawahar Lal Nehru and many more personalities. There were around 200 classrooms on campus that were fully equipped with the latest technology projectors and boards. There were many sports activities like soccer, rugby, tennis, cricket and much more. Each of them had separate events in which the student showcase their talent and achieve success at national levels. There was a group name LSA (local students association) which were run by students of the college for the presentation of youth talent

Placements are available only in the 6th semester. Trainings start from 5th semester. Usually provided by TCS. Highest placement package offered for 2020 year was 40000 per month. I plan on going for higher studies and did not attend the placements

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course syllabus our college follows is the latest updated syllabus which changes every year. The course I have chosen is travel and tourism we have the opportunity to have one day tours twice in a year. The faculty members are well educated but i feel lack the subject knowledge. They have their expertise in their own feilds but when it comes to teaching they are given subjects random where they'll have to teach without having in depth knowledge in it. For instance a teacher who has a degree in the feild of tourism is put to teach a class e-commerce and a teacher whose feild is marketing is put to teach accountancy which makes us difficult to understand since they themselves don't have the proper information to convey us.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. They have the best companies in the country seeking students from our college such as TATA, wipro, Ernst & Young, Deliotte and so on.
