Andhra Pradesh ANM Admission is conducted by the Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare. AP ANM Admission is expected to begin in October 2024.

ANM or Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery is a nursing course to train students in the Health Department. ANM is a 2 year-long diploma course. Students who wish to pursue ANM from Andhra Pradesh can appear for the Andhra Pradesh ANM Exam. It is a state-level exam conducted by the Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare.

AP ANM Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Complete the age of 17 years as of 31st December of the year and the upper age limit is 30 years of age. The upper age limit is 35 years in the case of SC, ST, and OBC as per the rules.
Pass 10 + 2 in Arts, Science, or Commerce (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science

There is a separate application for “Free & Management quota seats”. Candidates must fill out the required forms
Fill the Application form available on the Official Website of Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare Official Website.
The submission of applications either in person or by post with due acknowledgment on or before 31-10-2020 by 5.00 P.M.

AP ANM Admission 2024: Counselling

The state does not provide a centralized counseling process for MPHW (F) courses. The students have to fill up the admission form for all the colleges they want to apply to, along with multiple forms made available by the Commissionerate for each application. The students will have to send different copies of all the documents for each college. They will then have to check the selection list of all the necessary districts.

Ques. How to secure admission in Management seats?

Ans. The Procedure for Free seats and Management seats is more or less the same. The only difference is that the people who decide the selected students for the management courses are the authority of the particular institution. So, an applicant is required to send their documents to the institute rather than the DM.

Ques. Can I take admission in a college that is not approved by the Commissionerate?

Ans. It is not recommended by the Commissionerate to apply to a non-approved college. The standards may be compromised and the department will not be held responsible for admission of the candidates in a non-recognized institution.

Ques. Where are ANM degree holders placed?

Ans. ANM is a diploma course of 2 years. It focuses on health care and support. Such jobs are required in many institutions like hospitals, maternity homes, schools, retirement homes, and other in-patient facilities.
