Mostly teachers are professor there and doctors they are really supportive i still remember dr taneja sir how friendly he's with students and the way he taught us was amazing teaching things with practical examples is amazing
The crowd of dav college is really very great so the vibe of the college is really amazing
You can also join for ncc and nss. and it can be beneficial during post graduate admissions.

Dislikes

No placement no internship no guidance was provided by teachers
In brutal summer there is need for air conditioners.
Classrooms are too suffocating and it becomes worse in summers

One of the Best College in Chandigarh, Go for it.

Likes

The classrooms are clean, regularly cleaned. Good Environment, it also has parks where students can rest during their breaks
Non Teaching Staffs are very kind, nice and very cooperative to students and to everyone.
Admission system is not complicated and help is also given by senior students during admissions

Dislikes

The college would’’ve been better if there was a football ground.
There’s not much bad things about the college. It’s easily one of the best college in Chandigarh.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for BA Psychology along with other subjects such as Sociology and Elective English and also the two other compulsary subject HCP and English Compulsary. From my experience, curriculums such as practicals for Psychology are given properly and It is fun doing experiments and it is indeed a fun way of learning. It helps us to understand a given topic clearly. And for theory, all the teachers i came accross are well qualified and they also tried their best to help students and make them understand properly.

DAVC: CAMPUS AND CURRICULUM

the campus is clean and there is no restriction on exiting the college there is also healthy environment in the college

Dislikes

the fines and the examination fee is little too expensive according to the other colleges

the course is good there is one mid semester exam per semester and one final semester exam the difficulty level is medium and retest are there for those who fail . the curriculum is also theoretical only people might have some specialisation for practical subjects

Another aspect i find disappointing is the limited extracurricular opportunities available here.
Lack of adequate facilities and resources is a significant drawback.

Teaching methods are intensive with deep oriented knowledge on each topics and subtopics helping students to understand each topic in depth by giving practical and real life examples.The frequency and timings of examination is suited keeping in view the needs of the students .

The vibes which are given out by the students overall as well as the teachers. Not to forget the college canteen is such a yumm.

I wanted to try other streams besides NEET and JEE so I told my parents that I wanted to pursue a BA and I got selected for this College. For further academic pursuits, you can easily get as due to exposure to open-minded people. Overall I personally don't think we need any improvement at the moment as all are top-tier. The exams are conducted well timely and so such difficulty is faced me.

College structure is very big for me and myself.
Campus ground for playing cricket, basketball etc.
All teachers are friendly and good teaching

Campus is so good of my college there are different buildings for different courses.
Faculty of my college is well known so they teach very effectively.
Location of my college is very nice .it is in sector 10.

Dislikes

There is a problem related to our college playing ground.
Canteen charges are so expensive compare to main University canteen charges
Annual hostel fees is so much ,so there are less students who take hostel

Placement Experience:

There are a possibility of campus placement but in my course there are less pay.So we have to do masters or preparation for government exams after graduation.AFTER Completing bachelor of arts we are eligible for so many exams.sl majority students do that.

Happy to be a part of DAV. The commerce and science departments are having good buildings as compare to B.A department.
Free wifi in limited area of college campus. library and open grounds are the best part of the college.

Dislikes

Coming to the cons- Attendance is not taken seriously, they take up a few hundred bucks at the end of the year and let go of those who don't even attend one single class (they will take down my review I am sure). Yes, this is very prevalent here
Not enough coaches to train one in any field if one wants to start from scratch. You'll have people who can guide if you are already a professional. No place for amateurs, especially in Sports.

Placement Experience:

DAV College Chandigarh placements has a remarkable record of 90% of its students placed annually. The college favors academic merit as students with higher academic marks often bag better employment prospects. After 4th semester students can get jobs in IT companies and other jobs. The average package of DAV college is 5.8lacks and the highest package per annum is 8 lacks. My plan after completing my graduation is to get a job in an IT company or private sector.

Our college provides job placements and internship opportunities in the college. As far as it is concerned there was a sudden increment in job placements from the college and many companies from different spheres like computer, IT, Telephone, communication, etc. are provided. As available on the internet, the truth is that offers up to 3-4 lakh per annum are on averagely provided and the highest packages are up to INR 20 LAKH per annum. Approximately 23-25% of students are placed annually in different companies. However, after getting a degree I do not want to pursue the job but I want to home my skills and experience and put them into my family business.

DAV College Chandigarh has a huge campus. It includes a playground and 3-4 little gardens. The college is situated at the center of the city and everything is nearby. You can get all the basic amenities on campus as well. There are two canteens, two Nescafes, a juice center, a stationery shop, a print shop, a salon, and laundry.

The faculties are well-experienced. Some of the faculty members are quite friendly and cooperative. The college has a three-story library. It has a good collection of books.

DAV College has many clubs and societies like Literary society, Economic Society, NSS, etc. The college organizes events like Karvaan, and Star nights annually.

Election times are the worst. There are many fights and unnecessary chaos on campus. The college isn’t strict regarding its attendance rule and you can get away with not attending classes. Faculties sometimes don’t attend the classes and as a result, the students suffer. These are some of the disadvantages that you may have to face on campus.

Yes, you are eligible for admission to DAV College as the eligibility criteria for admission to Undergraduate course is Passed 10+2 with 50% marks from recognized board of education.
